ESCKAZ Ranking

First of all, we'd like to explain the concept of the points given out in the rankings of this website. All marks under the category "ESCKaz rating" and on this page are marks given by the authors and reviewers of our site. Though we try to be as objective as possible (and we have almost 10 year experience in music critics and international song festivals) - we do not pretend to be last and final judges and do not try to predict the outcome of the contest. As the result is always determined by accidental average viewer there is no use in giving any predictions, at least before the start of Euroweek, when final versions of the songs and stage presentations will become known - at that time our correspondents in Helsinki will publish own prognosis.
This year we'd like again to suggest you couple of different opinions. As usual our lead reviewer will be author of ESCKaz Andy Mikheev, joined by one of the leading ESC experts in Russia Anton Kulakov. ESCKaz do not take any responsibility for the opinions of independent reviewer, which reflect only his personal opinion.
In this very rating, each song is marked in 4 categories. The last category is performance during Eurovision itself and will be added in May. At the moment it is replaced on the preliminary mark based on National Final and other live performances. In each category maximum score is 10/10.
In the ratings at national pages all songs are judged by the author of ESCKaz out of 10 points and this will help us to create top 20 of the best preselection songs of Eurovision 2006 season.
We'd like to emphasize once again that the rating is published only to give you preview for each song. If you want us to hear your opinion write to us or post message on our Russian language messageboard.

Albania - Frederic Ndoci - Balada e gurit	M: Ethnic and requires better arrangement. 8/10 L: Nice, touchy lyrics about the man separated with his homeland, and same touchy English lyrics 9/10 V: One of the best vocalists of the contest with international status. 10/10 O: Pity that contest entry is weaker that most of the songs of Frederic from his album Canterina. We have to wait for short 3 minute version now. 7/10	M: Bore Balkan ethnic. We had already this kind of music in Eurovision many times. 5/10 L: Well, something about guy touching thousands of stones and discovering lakes of tears… 6/10 V: Impressive. The only good thing this song has. 7/10 O: Extremely boring, and we don't know yet what will be done in the final version, even what language they will choose to sing in.	27/ 18
Andorra - Anonymous - Let's save the world	M: Really soft pank, more suitable for Junior Eurovision 6/10 L: Just another anthem... 7/10 V: Также непрофессиональный 7/10 O: Athena... but they were hosts... and here qualification chances are really low. 6/10	M: stable and rather nice rockish tune. 6/10 L: another peace anthem. 5/10 V: very ordinary. 6/10 O: I don't think any chances exist	20/ 17
Armenia - Hayko - Anytime You Need	M: Very professional ballad with strong and rather difficult vocal line9/10 L: Suits both song and performer ideally 10/10 V: High class. 9/10 O: One of the few ballads at the contest have good chances for high result. 8/10	M: Expected and predictable ballad. Unfortunately, rather clear repeat of Why with some ethnic elements . 8/10 L: I want to be your friend and so it goes... Nothing really special 7/10 V: Here, certainly, without ANY pretensions, high quality. 10/10 O: Unfortunately, he doesn't have look of Shiri Maymon's size...	28/ 25
Austria - Eric Papilaya - Get A Life, Get Alive	M: Commercial Americarized pop-rock 5/10 L: Rather difficult to guess that this song is anthem of Anti-AIDS charity 7/10 V: Live performances at Starmanian were rather good, but nothing special 7/10 O: Question immediately arrives, why bother returning to the contest? Even if they will dress Eric in Lordi masks, it still will be very difficult to remember the song and leave with it any trace in the competition... 6/10	M: Rather good, but pretty banal. 7/10 L: Social lyrics, though I do not spot anything regarding AIDS as well, probably it's just PR. 6/10 V: Just above average. 6/10 O: Returned and didn't understand what for themselves	19/ 19
Belarus - Dmitry Koldun - Work You Magic	M: rather weak music, evident to be created by unprofessional composer without any unity between intro, verses and refrain. 6/10 L: best part of the song and ideally allows to create image of the performer. 10/10 V: not bad, but still unknown how will work with live backing vocals. 8/10 O: despice song is not real masterpiece it has sort of appeal towards average European listener, so it can do really well 9/10	M: The world is noooot enough….2/10 L: Kavaleryan in his repertoire -). Yeah, I will get the magic power that will open your tower. Good concept. 8/10 V: Awful live. In studio version OKish. 3/10 O: Agurbash. Second arrival.	24/ 13
Belgium - The Krazy Mess Groovers - Love Power	M: Whole song is just massively reminding me smth... But very professional. 9/10 L: Not bad, in stylistics of legendary The Power of Love 9/10 V: Also quite good 9/10 O: I'm afraid originals will repeat fate of Austria 2005. 7/10	M: Oh, yes! Acid jazz which is very close to the songs of Black Rio – has such an 70th feeling. SUPERB! 10/10 L: Love lyrics, as Andy said while ago about Luminita - not the lyrics are important but the way they're delivered. 10/10 V: Almost George Michael. Vocal is exastly as the song requires. 10/10 O: Chances of all songs that I have as strong favourites are usually very low. Though with good draw and good staging just MUST qualify to the final	27/ 30
Bosnia - Marija Sestic - Rijeka bez imena	M: Bosnian have overdone themselves creating clones, and while Lejla was charismatic, here is no even noteworthy chorus, 8/10 L: Banal Balkan ballad lyrics 7/10 V: And pretty young and unexperienced singer 7/10 O: They will have to fight hard with Serbia to unite Balkan votes around their entry. 8/10	M: Playing on the field of Lejla and Lane Moje continues. 7/10 L: Deja Vu continues. 7/10 V: Another vocal of Balkan type… 7/10 O: And finally it seems this won't get into top 3.	22/ 20
Bulgaria - Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankulov - Voda	M: Well, it seems we've already seen drum show somewhere? Ah, it was Romania 2005. Plus spiced by techno arrangement. 7/10 L: Big discovery for me was that More actually does not mean Sea. Why the song is titled water then? 6/10 V: Absolutely not impressed with live performance? 7/10 O: Do really voters fall on only show presentation? 9/10	M: Ethnic horror, saved only by sing aways. 7/10 L: Ethnic. I mean singing mooore thousand of times. How it is possible to translate it in English, I don't know. 7/10 V: In studio version is rather impressive. 9/10 O: With bets on a good show can push Bulgaria to the final.	20/ 23
Croatia - Dragonfly feat. Dado Topic - Vjeruem u ljubav	M: Relaxing rock ballad 8/10 L: Sound very high quality in English, thus I have very high hopes for full English version. 9/10 V: Just as how amazing rock vocal of Topic is, similary unimpressive is vocal and whole performance of Iva Gluhak... 8/10 O: Chances to unite Balkan vote are rather low, though with good draw can repeat Mikulic's result... 7/10	M: Midtempo soft rock with nice arrangement. 9/10 L: Nice English-Croatian mix. 9/10 V: On a good level. 9/10 O: In general - straight road to the final.	25/ 27
Cyprus - Evridiki - Comme ci, comme ca	M: On first listening was left absolutely unimpressed. From further listenings at least I decided I can live with it. A kind of techno, though vocals are more rockish... 7/10 L: Love and life pass by... 7/10 V: Unlike Anton, I'm not very optimistic and would like to wait for the first live performance of this very song. 7/10 O: Very strange song, 12 points from Greece and very high points from France, but qualification is far from certain... 7/10	M: OK, this will be rethinking of Ortal? Do everyone remember where she finished? 4/10 L: Something very banal, at least what I could get with my knowledge of French. 5/10 V: I remember Evridiki well from 1994 - so she has very stable and good vocals. 8/10 И: Yes... everyone SOOO want to stay in semis...	21/ 17
Czech Republic - Kabat - Malo Dama	M: Traditional hard rock, nice passage, memorable chorus 9/10 L: Just read it!. 10/10 V: Double vocal, and from the beginning it seems to be unusual. But really the synchronized performance of such a vocal is very rare - thus big plus for it. 9/10 O: I just wish they won't cancel each other with Iceland... 8/10	M: The best part of the song. Very interesting rock tune. May be the second heaviest thing in the contest after Iceland – 9.5/10 L: very rockish urbanistic lyrics about Littl Lady - left me impressed - 9/10 V: Strange. But really Czech - almost whole modern rock is same. But backing vocals sound like Russian Shevchuk a lot. - 8/10 O: Logically they have very real chances of qualifying.	28/ 26.5
Denmark - DQ - Drama Queen	M: Eurohit without any doubts. 10/10 L: Everything's gonna be alright, when I get on the stage tonight - optimistically claims performer. 10/10 V: Surprisingly perfect. 9/10 И: Song can do well at the contest if there won't be other similar drag entries. 9/10	M: Certainly there have to be some Swedes involved -). 8/10 L: Traditional lyrics that I'm your night-girl. Though night-girl this time is guy in feathers. 8/10 V: At least singing feathers have very pleasant, strong vocal. 9/10 O: Excellent chances to qualify. Though I can not forbid them Copenhagen Airport.	29/ 25
Estonia - Gerli Padar - Partners In Crime	M: Nice change is chorus is possibly the only thing that can be noted about. 8/10 L: Have to admit that lyrics are perfect, though they are not about real crime but aboul love under rain... 10/10 V: Good in studio version, not so confident live. 7/10 O: It will be very difficult for the song not to be lost at the competition. 7/10	M: Without any criticism. Stable and catchy pop-rock. 9.5/10 L: Almost Bonnie and Clyde 9.5/10 V: Amazing. 10/10 O: With good draw will qualify to the final and get good placing there.	25/ 29
Finland - Hanna Pakarinen - Leave Me Alone	M: Pop-rock tune, qualitywise closer to Estonia and not Moldova, though the key hook is not bad 8/10 L: Pretty ordinary 7/10 V: Not bad for former Idol 8/10 O: Seemingly Finland is not looking for a victory two years in a row 6/10	M: Rather agressive rock. 8/10 L: Leave me alone, I wanna go home… To hell. 7/10 V: On rather good level. 8/10 O: Will finish in first 10 as host country.	23/ 23
France - Les Fatals Picards - L'Amour a la Francaise	M: Catchy hit. Though I have to mention passage absolutely similar to Koldun's intro, as both are copies from James Bond series. 9/10 L: Great lyrics about hero running through Paris trying to find his love, with amazing mix of English and French with English accent. 9/10 V: Great performance 9/10 O: France can only get out of the favourites list due to the fact that there are many songs playing on the same field, first of all Belgium and Romania. 8/10	M: Very traditional for France. Song from TV series Helene et les garcons performed with male vocal. And passage similar to Koldun's. 7/10 L: Well. And what do they want to reach with it? 6/10 V: Cheesy French vocals. Heard that for million times. 5/10 O: Same as where they are usually ending.	27/ 18
FYR Macedonia - Karolina Gocheva - Mojot svet	M: Everything is so standard and Balkanish so nothing really to say about. 6/10 L: About music and Balkan soul. Nothing. 6/10 V: In 2002 was not ideal, though in this song was rather good. 7/10 O: Macedonia always qualify to the final, so I doubt anything will change this time 9/10	M: Another ethnic pop. This time midtempo. Do they have anything besides that? 5/10 L: My world is music, without borders, my Balkan soul. Just wonder what they will do in English? 4/10 V: I do think Gocheva is strong vocalist (remembering 2002). But... 6/10 O: Permanent finalist? But may be won't be so this year?	19/ 15
Georgia - Sopho Khalvashi - Visionary Dream	M: Ethnic pop-rock with really strange vocal line, at the end turning into screams and total mix of the styles - it is format of Eurovision, isn't it? 6/10 L: Speaks about some important moment in the life, but no details are given 6/10 V: May be it was better to sing a ballad? 7/10 O: Performance in Bjork style plus diaspora votes can turn this song into favourite, though one should not overdo it with fantasies on stage... 9/10	M: Ethnic-horror. 4/10 L: Well, I couldn't get sense of her story, Another pseudoethnic nonsence. 4/10 V: Vocal is impressive, but it's realisation in the context of music material... 8/10 O: Don't we know how well diaspora votes can help? They can raise even horror movie...	19/ 16
Germany - Roger Cicero - Frauen regier'n die Welt	M: Jazz song with orchestral arrangement was ideal for the preselection, but for Eurovision it must be done in a different way 8/10 L: Lyrics are just fitting the song selected on International Women's Day 8/10 V: Not bad 9/10 O: Typicly German song, and as Max will have to balance on the verge of top 10. 8/10	М: Блестящий джаз, в сущности, как и обычно. 10/10 Т: Не менее блестящее явление – мегасексисткий текст, который надо на английский перегонять. Конечно, выбор ТАКОГО на восьмое марта – это та еще фишка. 10/10 В: Был бы он чуток поэффектнее. 9/10 И: Ну… Европа всегда славилась гомофобскими настроениями… Хотя… С чем черт не шутит.	25/ 29
Greece - Sarbel - Yassou Maria	M: Return of Sakis Rouvas, just for some reason composed by Swedish comoser... 6/10 L: Maria-Afrodite-Cleopatra... 7/10 V: And vocal was really fine live. At preselection song was performed very close to studio version. 9/10 O: We have many songs of this kind, so probably will repeat Constantinos rather than Rouvas.	M: Has Rouvas returned back? Another really standard track for Europa plus. 5/10 L: Again, shake this, shake that. Do they have any originality? 3/10 V: Does everyone remember what vocal Sakis had while singing? 5/10 O: I think it is male variant of Paparizou and will have almost similar result.	22/ 13
Hungary - Magdi Ruzsa - Unsubstantial Blues	M: Absolutely unoriginal blues, whose time has already passed. 8/10 L: Same sufferings of the lost love. 7/10 V: The only thing I hope there won't be rolling on flour and other hysteria in the style of Anna Vissi. 8/10 O: Absolutely difficult to understand the logic of return to the contest, similarily to Austrian. Why they hade to return simply to send local idol which even had no time to record the new song and they have to use old one? 7/10	M: Genious. Moves my head and crushes it into pieces. 10/10 L: And same mightly lyrics of unsubstantial blues. 10/10 V: Is she Idol? It is interesting whether all their Idols have same abilities? 10/10 O: We agree with my wife - this just has to win. But sad reality is that this song reminding a lot Hungarian entries 94 and 95 can be lost. But IT SHOULD NOT.	23/ 30
Iceland - Eirikur Hauksson - Lost Valentine	M: Great metal ballad from the composer, who already represented Iceland in 2004 10/10 L: English lyrics are even better than Icelandic, about healing force of heavy metal. 10/10 V: Elite of the world heavy metal. Third time at Eurovision. 10/10 И: Iceland really has taste, whether Europe has one as well? Must collect rock votes 8/10 I take risk to claim it is the best Eurovision entry of 21st century.	M: Well, yes. I'm ready to agree that this is best Eurovision song of 21st century. 10/10 L: Icelandic lyrics are about reading smth from the palm. To be or not to be will be more adequate. Anyway 9.5/10 V: How old-guy Hawk is thrashing younger Kipelovs! 10/10 O: Certain finalist.	30/ 29.5
Ireland - Dervish - They Can't Stop The Spring	M: Separately considered melody and arrangement are not bad. 8/10 L: Well, how they managed to select theme of Prague Spring of 68 for the song? 7/10 V: Uncharismatic lead singer with rather disturbing vocal for unprepared listener... 6/10 O: Semifinal 2008 6/10	M: Absolutely traditional selection of sounds to the soundtrack of "Lord of the rings" and album of the band "Melnitsa". Tired of that. 2/10 L: Plus for the idea with Prague Spring. But such lyrics would look much better in agressive arrangement. 7/10 V: Damn, all Irish song in this style are reminding Candice Night!!!! 0/10 O: There are two variants - if there will be a lot of Tolkien-crazy children voting - they can put it high. And may fall like Dan ar braz in 1996 - what I hope for, as besides lyrics there is absolutely nothing special in this song.	21/ 9
Israel - Teapacks - Push The Button	M: Three songs combined in one and pank and rap are just should not belong to this song. 7/10 L: Let's recall the PR way not leaving the house. No other contestant had received such a big PR all over the world than Israel. Same as Finland last year. 8/10 V: Funny and impressive. 9/10 O: With good draw will qualify, but we already had Lithuania last year and Romanian song is more funny.	M: Fabulous Odessa song 9.5/10 L: Let everyone who want to disqualify this song shut up. Russian song 2005 was not less political, for example. This song has really funny lyrics with a bit of political context. 10/10 V: Fun style performance, thus vocals are not really important. 8/10 O: Finalist, as LT United.	24/ 27.5
Latvia - Bonaparti.lv - Questa Notte	M: Original turnover of the Swedish schlager into Italian ballad 9/10 L: Night of love 8/10 V: Very professional performance if disregard accent 9/10 O: Europe, unfortunately, not usually understand Latvian originality... 7/10	M: I'm not sure, may be they just hide funny side as Axcel Boys? In general, I like a lot orchestral arrangement a lot? 10/10 L: They would be appreciated in San Remo with THIS. 9/10 V: What? Are you still asking that? 10/10 O: And chances are rather low. It is most important not to get the early draw. Though song really deserves final.	26/ 29
Lithuania - 4FUN - Love or Leave	M: Soft ballad, though ending part is not really fitting the song, but in whole it is strong contender. 9/10 L: Nice balladic lyrics 9/10 V: And vocals quite fitting the scenario 9/10 O: Should be very different among other contenders so should do well. 9/10	M: Biggest plus of this soft middle-tempo-latino that there is absolutely no other songs playing on the same field. Moody song with nice solo parts. 10/10 L: Probably the weakest part of the song, but anyway 9.5/10 V: Only good impressions. 10/10 O: There won't happen miracle with victory, though I'd like it to happen. But will finish in top 10.	27/ 29.5
Malta - Olivia Lewis - Vertigo	M: Really interesting musical decision, pop tune with Mediterranean, almost Arabic rhymes 9/10 L: Also very interesting structure of the lyrics with unordinary rhythms like vertigo/indigo. 9/10 V: Professional, laureat of many international festivals 9/10 O: In the case of good stage presentation will be one of the favourites of competition 9/10	M: The very beginning is rather good. But when it turns oriental, it's just killing the song. 6/10 L: Well, seemingly girl was spending a lot of time on swing, and now she is singing how she got vertigo from that. 4/10 V: Average for Malta. 4/10 O: Will repeat the fate of Lynn Chircop.	27/ 14
Moldova - Natalia Barbu - Fight	M: Perfect rock tune. 9/10 Т: Rather boring theme of social struggles, though some parts hint on religious theme of lyrics. 9/10 V: Professional, proved at many international events. 10/10 O: Song is not really in format of Eurovision contest, so needs good presentation and perfect draw 7/10	M: Rather average material, but fresh and stable. 9/10 L: Once again social theme. 8/10 V: Reminded a bit of Vanilla Ninja from 2005. Very good. 8.5/10 O: Probably will be "eaten" by more rockier tunes.	28/ 25.5
Montenegro - Stevan Faddy - Ajde kroci	M: Andorra should learn from this... 8/10 L: Jump, jump, boooms. 8/10 V: Normal, but all movements are rather neurastenic. 8/10 O: Should hope for neighbouring votes... 7/10	M: I'm so surprised! Slavic rock. 9/10 L: Text about love don't really fit this rock song. 7/10 V: Average level. But he should cope well. 8/10 O: Can steal points from Macedonia, and level chances for "Eternal finalist" status	24/ 24
Netherlands - Edsilia Rombley - On Top Of The World	M: Very professional strong composition with development 9/10 L: Another from numerous variations on the theme "I can survive without you, but still with you is better" 7/10 V: Professional. 9/10 И: Performance in English language can add chances for this song. 7/10	M: Very pleasant transfer from slow to midtempo. Though I'd prefer immediate transfer to uptempo. 8/10 L: Once again overused theme - you're gone, I'm left. 8/10 V: On a very high level. 9/10 O: Can fail as Selma in 2005, but can score well as Re-Union.	25/ 25
Norway - Guri Schanke - Ven a bailar conmigo	M: Тypical Swedish schager with pseudo-latino flavour. 8/10 L: Dance lyrics without any additional sense. 8/10 V: Vocal is professional 8/10 O: Choreography needs to be more developed and not copying Latvia 2002, as for dance song it is the most important part. 8/10	M: Absolutely banal latino average between Shakira and Riki Martin. A bit with Swedish flavour by G:Son. Boring. 6/10 L: Let's go and dance for the whole night! 4/10 V: Yes... this is not Shakira. DAMN! This is not even Jannike or Crush! 3/10 O: I know that the song has chances, potential and other things - but just for the fact it won instead of Jannike I wish it to finish on last place.	24/ 13
Poland - The Jet Set - Time To Party	M: Well... rather standard rap-song, possibly appealing to the young generation. 6/10 L: Another "dance" lyrics. 6/10 V: For rap to be considered vocal at least Real McCoy is required. 6/10 O: Perspectives are rather dark. 6/10	M: Yeah! A world hit! 0/10 L: If Norwegians want to dance - they want to party because it is raining and bad news are on TV. 2/10 V: Who has mentioned "superb" vocals? 3/10 O: Bottom 5.	18/ 5
Portugal - Sabrina - Danca Conmigo	M: Who Portuguese have to blame for continuing failures rather than themselves. Again they selected the track that is simply passing by and is also playing on the same field with Norway. 6/10 L: Dance lyrics 6/10 V: Vocal is of the level of talents show participants. 6/10 O: No qualification 5/10	M: Very banal beach mid-tempo. Very disappointing. 3/10 L: Dance with me and so on. 3/10 V: Very average. Weak and sometimes missing the notes. 2/10 O: How they manage to select same thing every year? They have full chances to finish with zero as 10 years ago.	18/ 8
Romania - Locomondo - Liubi, liubi, I Love You	M: Original? Yes, despite still rather similar to Dolly Song. 8/10 L: One of the best examples of multilanguage lyrics, which are fitting song well. 9/10 V: As the song still is appealing more to humor than serious performance, vocals play very small role. . 8/10 O: Difficult to predict anything, but probably midtable. 7/10	M: Excellent joke with a bit of folk. 10/10 L: Not lesser excellent joke in many languages. 9/10 V: Unpretentious. 8/10 O: Will shoot like from gun. If there will be MANY rockers this guys will differ with ethnic flavour.	25/ 27
Russia - Serebro - Song #1	As usual we do not judge Russian entry at the contest, which will be judged by listeners on 12th of May in Helsinki. We just wish it and all other participants - good luck!
Serbia - Marija Serifovic - Molitva	M: Massive ballad which could be great with live orchestra 9/10 L: My prayer is devoted not to God but you 8/10 V: Ideal 10/10 O: Will fight with Bosnia to unite ex-Yugoslavian voters and is guaranteed finalist. Can do "Chiara".	M: Somewhat similar with Bosnia. All slow Balkan songs are rather similar. 6/10 L: And lyrics here are much better, if Bosnians are still using same theme as always - this text is connected with religion and internal searches of the person. 9/10 V: Very and very stable. 8/10 O: Will simply be lost among others.	27/ 23
Slovenia - Alenka Gotar - Cvet z juga	M: From the very first notes hand of Andrei Babic can be seen, whose songs like numerous songs of G:son are absolutely unoriginal, but professional. 7/10 L: Can someone explain what the part about ghost-king or greatness of Slovenia in live variant meant to do in this song? And without it again about separation with beloved. 6/10 V: Really, it is pityful to see opera singer made to perform in unusual for her pop style and there is certain lack of harmony between singer and the song 7/10 O: Performance must be drastically improved, otherwise song is going nowhere. 7/10	M: Unusually traditional Balkan entry. I thought Slovenia has more European approach - though seems no. 3/10 L: And same Balkan type of lyrics. 3/10 V: Song is good only with vocals. As Albania is. 8/10 O: Unpredictable. Sometimes Europeans fall on such a poor tracks.	20/ 14
Spain- Nash - Love you mi vida	M: Only Spain could do such a massive preselection to finish with this combination of schlager with another G:son's pseudo-latino arrangement 8/10 L: cheesy lyrics 7/10 V: and rather weak boysband 6/10 O: Maximum top 10, with ideal performance... 7/10	M: Latino, rhytmically very reminding Turkey 1999. 6/10 L: Very ordinary latino lyrics. 6/10 V: Strange pronounciation, very latinoamerican. Without any whistling. And without any brilliance. 8/10 О: Going nowhere as Las Ketchup	21/ 20

Switzerland - DJ Bobo - Vampires Are Alive	M: Unoriginal and clearly aiming for the "average listener", according to DJ Bobo specificly from Eastern Europe. 8/10 L: Well, original. Did anyone really except entry from DJ Bobo about vampires? 9/10 V: Studio vocals are rather good, but whether they will be able to perform it live? 8/10 O: Song is certainly playing on the same field with Belarus entry and can seriously harm it's chances, though a lot will depend on the drawing order. Presentation should be nice! 8/10	M: Stange sounds, musically song is really very stange and without any format. 7/10 L: Theme of... vampires is followed precisely. 7/10 V: Reminded McCoy with something.
