| First
channel of Israeli television will broadcast live performance of the band
"Teapacks" during which song, that will represent country at Eurovision song
contest 2007 will be selected. Concert will be held on Tuesday, 27th of February in
Kibbutz Dorot near Sderot. During show band will present to the viewers 4 songs, one of them will be selected for pan-European competition. Concert will be hosted by actress and host Natalie Atie and journalist of Israeli televition Noah Barak. Song that will take part in Eurovision, will be selected by viewers, who will be able to vote best song via SMS voting. Their votes will be added to votes of jury and viewers in the hall. Starting 22nd of February the 4 competing songs will be aired on Reshet Gimmer, one of IBA radiostations, and 88FM radio as well. Soon all songs will be available at website of preselection as well. During the broadcast bands "Knesiyat a-Sehel" with new versions of their hits and band "Alluminium" - singer Khaim Uliel with three children with special performance, including elements of pantomime, special decorations, and other artists. |

"Типекс", во время которого будет выбрана
песня, которую Израиль представит на
"Евровидении 2007". Концерт пройдет во
вторник, 27 февраля 2007 года, в 21:30 в киббуце Дорон
возле Сдерота. На своем выступлении музыканты "Типекс" представят на суд зрителей четыре песни, из которых и будет выбрана лучшая. Концерт будут вести актриса и телеведущая Натали Атье и журналистка Первого канала Ноа Барак. Песню, которая отправится на
"Евровидение" выберут сами зрители, которые
смогут отдать свои голоса наиболее
понравившейся композиции путем СМС-голосования
и голосовых сообщений. Их голоса будут
приплюсованы к голосам судейской комиссии и
зрителей в зале. Как сообщает newsru.co.il, В концерте также примут участие группа "Кнесият а-Сехель" с новыми обработками их хитов, группа "Аллюминиум" – певец Хаим Улиэль со своими тремя детьми с красочным представлением, включающим в себя элементы пантомимы и необычные декорации, и другие артисты. |

of "Teapacks" band was held in Tel-Aviv. It was revealed that national final of 4 songs will be held in Kibbutz Dorot on 27th of February. "We do not want to use Eurovision for personal aims of "Teapacks", our aim is to bring real "Teapacks" to Eurovision", told lead singer of the band Kobi Oz. Speaking about style of their potential entries Kobi Oz described them as Mediterranean disco with guitars in the tempo that is usual for "Teapacks", spiced by electro-guitars and electro-violins. Speaking about lyrics, they will be with social mission. Eurovision song will be performed in Hebrew, though it is possible that part of it will be in English, which according to Oz will be with "flavour of Yiddish", reports newsru.co.il  "Couple
of years ago I heard on radio Irish song. Despite I didn't understand a single word, it
was amazing and I really got fond of Irish music", told Kobi Oz during
press-conerence. - I really hope that our music will do similar things in Europe. Our aim
it to open ears of listeners to the music they've never heard before. Originally musicians thought to decline suggestion. "We were afraid that we won't be able to stay ourselves, as music at Eurovision is not played live. But after we watched Lordi's performance last year we changed our mind". Band has not yet decided which of their seven members won't be able to enter Eurovision stage. |

участие приняли музыканты группы "Типекс". Национальный финал из четырех песен пройдет 27 февраля, он состоится в южном городе Дорот. "Мы не собираемся использовать "Евровидение" для личных целей "Типекса". Наша цель – подарить "Типекс" "Евровидению", - сказал солист группы Коби Оз. На вопрос о том, о какой именно музыке идет речь, Коби Оз рассказал, что это будет средиземноморское диско с гитарным сопровождением в темпе, характерном для "Типекса", также "приправленное" электрическими гитарами и электро-скрипками. Что же касается текстов, то они, скорее всего, будут о справедливости в обществе. Песня будет на иврите и, возможно, лишь какая-то малая ее часть будет на английском языке, который, по словам Оза, будет с "оттенком идиша", сообщает newsru.co.il "Несколько лет назад по радио я услышал песню ирландской группы. Несмотря на то, что я не понял ни слова, я сказал – это прекрасно, и стал увлекаться ирландской музыкой, – рассказал Коби Оз на пресс-конференции. – Я надеюсь, что наша музыка сотворит нечто подобное в Европе.  Teapacks (also know as Tipp-Ex) - the band some say is
responsible for creating a new genre of Israeli pop music and others call the “best
Israeli band, by far” will represent Israel at Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The band is
around for about 15 years already, has started as a parody on rock spiced with social
protest and a mishmash of Moroccan and dance melodies and later developed into one of the
most interesting sounds of the ‘90s. Kobi Oz, the group’s frontman and songwriter, is of Tunisian descent, and is from Sderot, a development town in the Negev. “The combination of Middle Eastern and Western influences is producing what will be the world music of tomorrow,” he said. “Hebrew is such a rich, beautiful language. I believe that if the music is good enough, the whole world will eventually like it.” It is expected that in upcoming weeks band will present to IBA comittee (including Kobi Oshrat, composer, Yardena Arazi, singer and Dafna Dekel, singer) 4 compositions from which in mid-February televoters and jury will choose Eurovision entry. In the case band will refuse or otherways won't be able to take part in Eurovision IBA has appointed as substitute Liel, who represented last year Switzerland at Eurovision as member of Six4One. Second substitute is Michelle Goriashvilli, participant of Star Academy 4. |

Я верю в то, что если музыка достаточно хороша - весь мир ее в конце концов полюбит". | Teapcaks
were formed in 1988. It's members were from southern Israel. In September 1990 they
recoreded their first song and afterwards the band was formed around consisted members (in
the first two years it's members changed frequently). Their performances attracted
attention and they were offered a contract by a big record company. In 1991 they released
their first album "Shvil Klipot HaGar'inim". There was a problem in defining the
character of the debute album: Kobi Oz, the lead singer of the group had things to say
about discrimination, but he prefered to present himslef as a musical entertainer or as a
parody of a rock star. It's appeared that that the protest Teapacks tried to present was
wrapped in ironies and jokes. In 1993 they recorded their 2nd album, "HaAcharon BaAsiron HaTachton". In addition to the regular humor, Oz allowed himself to be a bit more serious and combined social issues and oriental music. The album was appriciated by both public and critics. Oz became an issue in the media and was given a stage where he presented his unique vision and his moto. In 1995 Oz created that perfect Teapacks creation in the aspect of its artistic and social massage. It was an album of pure Israeli music, oriental with western influences. In that album Teapacks was among those who created the new Israeli sound of the late 90's. In 1996 they recorded the soundtrack for the movie "Clavim Lo Novchim BeYarok". In 1997 they released the album "Neshika LaDod". In that album they introduced an unknown singer from the oriental genre and sung a duet with her. Her name was Sarit Hadad. In 1998 they released an EP and in 1999 Teapacks 99' was introduced - a multi-members group that it's members change with each recording, according to the songs demands. Their 1999 album "Disco Menayak" was a special pop album, a tribute to the Disco music of the 70's. The album featured numerous artists and guests. In the same year Oz created the musical label "Levantini". In mid-2000 Teapacks return in performing. In 2001 Kobi Oz was the major composer and writer in Sarit Hadad album "Ashlayot Metukot". Sarit became a big star since her breakthrough in 1997. The song Oz composed for her album "Yalla Lech Habiata Moti" was chosen as song of the year. In 2001 Teapacks released a succesfull album named "Yoshvim BeBet Cafe". In 2003 they released their first collection album. Their latest album was realesed in 2006. In the album "Radio/Muzika/Ivrit" they presented a duet with the successfull Miri Mesika named "Cluv Shel Zahav". The band TEAPACKS consists of 7 members: Kobi OZ (lyricist, composer, music producer, and lead singer), Gal PEREMAN (bass), Rami YOSIFOV (guitar and mandolin), Meir AMAR (computer programming and sound effects), Motti YOSEFF (drums), Dani ABERJEL (guitar) and Noam YANKELEVICH (keyboards and accordion). |

Песня "Yalla Lech Habiata Moti" в ее исполнении была выбрана песней года в Израиле. В 2001 году группа выпускает очередной альбом, а в 2003 - сборник лучших песен. Их последний на сегодня альбом "Radio/Muzika/Ivrit" был выпущен в 2006 году и в него вошел известный дуэт с Мири Месика "Cluv Shel Zahav". | According to newspaper Yediot Acharonot new head of Israeli broadcaster IBA Moti Shklyar has taken decision to cancel national selection for Eurovision Song Contest and thus Israel will conduct internal selection this year, mainly due to last year failure and budget problems. Some names allegedly considered are: Har'el Ska'at, Roni Superstar, Miri Messika, Keren Peles, Ninet Tayeb and Maya Buskila, who was due to take part in selection last year, but withdrawn, however she confirmed she will accept the job if she would be selected internally. Preselection jury will include Kobi Oshrat, the composer of Hallelujah, Yardena Arzai, former ESC entrant and host, the singers Daniel Solomon, Haim Uliel and Mika Karni. | Как сообщает Израильская газета Yediot Acharonot новый генеральный директор управления телерадиовещания Моти Шкляр принял решение отменить национальный отбор на конкурс "Евровидение" и провести внутренний отбор.
