| This
band which nowadays is well-known by everybody was founded in 1983 in Teplice. Its charter
members were Mr. Milan Spalek, bass guitar, and Mr. Tomas Krulich, guitar. The group was
later joined by Mr. Radek Hurcik, percussions, and Mr.Josef Vojtek, frontman of the band
and singer. The last to join the band was Mr. Ota Vana, guitar. The band has existed in
this line-up since 1990 up to nowadays. The breakthrough in the career of this successful,
but only regional band was the release of their debut album "Ma ji motorovou"
("She Has It Motor Like") in 1991. Thanks to the enthusiastic response of the
public, the band signed an exculsive contract with the publishing house Monitor/Emi. It
was followed by other successful albums one after another. The following albums can be
mentionned at random: "Colorado" in 1994, "Cert na koze jel"
("The Devil Was Driving a Goat") in 1998, "Mega Hu" in 1999. The select album "Suma sumarum" ("All Things Considered") released in 2002 was sold in an unbelievable for that time number - 128 000 media -, and became thus the best sold musical item in the Czech Republic. In the same year, the success of the band was crowned by their also successful concert tour, as well as by their historically first victory won in the opinion poll "Cesky slavik" ("The Czech Nightingale"). Three years later, the Kabat band ("The Coat") comes now with their new project "Corrida" to the market, the album being impatiently waited for by the public. Their single entitled Mala Dama ("Little Lady") was selected as their competition song for the participation in the national Eurosong finals. |

была сформирована в 1983 году в городе Теплице. Ее
основателями стали Милан Шпалек, бас-гитарист и
Томаш Крулич, гитарист. Позднее к команде
присоединились Радек Хурчик, ударные и Йозеф
Войтек, фронтмэн группы, солист. Последним
участником, влившимся в состав группы стал
гитарис Ота Вана. В таком составе группа
существует с 1990 года и по настоящее время. Прорыв
в их карьере произошел когда уже известная, но
все еще региональная группа выпустила свой
дебютный альбом "Ma ji motorovou" в 1991 году.
Благодаря тому, что альбом был отлично встречен
публикой, группа смогла подписать эксклюзивный
контракт с лейблом Monitor/EMI. За ним последовали
другие успешные альбомы: "Colorado" в 1994,
"Cert na koze jel" в 1998, "Mega Hu" в 1999. Сборник лучших вещей группы "Suma sumarum", выпущенный в 2002 году был продан в невероятном для того времени объеме 128 000 копий и по сей день остается самым продаваемым альбомом в Чехии. В том же году группа отметила успех концертным туром, а также завоевала первое место в опросе "Чешский соловей". Три года спустя группа выпускает альбом "Corrida" сингл с которого "Mala Dama" выдвинут на участие в конкурсе Евровидение. |

Czech newspaper Lidove noviny has published speculative list of potential participants of
Czech national selection 2007, 7 artists which were told to be selected via their
positions at local charts. The list included following names: Divokej Bill, Chinaski,
Krystof, Wanastowi Vjecy, Support Lesbiens, David Koller, Anna K. ESCKaz has contacted Czech Television which informed us that: "We have just close up the nominations for our National Final, and as we decided the official announcement of these 10 songs will be on the official Press Conference held on February 9th . Then we let them go to Europe through our web site and the big campaign will start to promote the whole event. So were are unable to give any names at the moment." Broadcaster though confirmed information that Jiri Korn will host Czech National Final. Update: press-conference was rescheduled for February 15th. |

газета Lidove noviny опубликовала предварительный
список 7 участников финала, которые якобы были
выбраны для участия в отборе по результатам
национального чарта страны. Вот эти исполнители:
Divokej Bill, Chinaski, Krystof, Wanastowi Vjecy, Support Lesbiens, David Koller, Anna K. ESCKaz связался с представителем Телевидения Чехии и получил следующий комментарий: "Мы только что закончили формирование списка участников национального отбора, но решили отложить оглашение списка участников до пресс-конференции, которая назначена на 9 февраля. После этого мы познакомим европейских слушателей с этими композициями посредством нашего сайта и начнем промо-кампанию всего национального отбора. Поэтому в настоящий момент мы не можем сообщить никаких имен участников". Телекомпания однако подтвердила тот факт, что ведущим национального отбора станет Иржи Корн. Republic broadcaster confirmed to ESCKaz ambition to enter Eurovision song
contest 2007, conducting national final of 10 entries, set for March 10th. The
participants for the final will be chosen according IFPI Radio 50 chart, from those
songs released between October 1 and January 5, while up to 3 songs from the line-up may
be nominated by broadcaster directly. However as the number of entrants is limited at 40 and there may appear more countries willing to join song contest we advise to wait for confirmation of the list of participants by EBU sometime in December/January. |

Чехии подтверждает ESCKaz свое намерение
принять участие в конкурсе Евровидение 2007,
проведя открытый национальный отбор из 10 песен.
Участники отбора будут номинированы из
исполнителей, фигурирующих в национальном чарте Топ 50 IFPI, из числа
песен, выпущенных между 1м октября и 5м января, и
до 3х песен могут быть номинированы
телевещателем напрямую. Однако, поскольку число участников лимитировано 40 и возможно желание присоединиться к конкурсу еще изъявят и другие страны - мы советуем подождать официального подтверждения списка участников от ЕВС в декабре/январе. |
