Albania - Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams	M: Song has been completely reworked and has actually became very much listenable. 8/10 L: English lyrics are not perfect, but they are fitting the song much better. 7/10 V: Ringing voice, but not very confident. Ideal solution will be to invite Flaka Krelani, with whom Kejsi sang on the 2nd day of FIK. 7/10 O: Chances to qualify are not very high. 7/10	M:Oldfashioned arrangement of the rather traditional Balkan theme. Andorra - Susanne Georgi - La teva decisio	M: Average pop tune 6/10 L: About decisions in a love puzzle 7/10 V: Not very difficult song, performed on a good level. 7/10 O: Don't know what can help it to get through. 6/10	M: Very much in style of her previous duet. Even too much in it. 7/10 L - As I understood, story of their love was full of different deprivations and throw aways, but the end was good. 7/10 V - I'm having doubts. Whether for the first time Andorra will have good vocals? 6/10 O - Seemingly, rather good choice on a generally awful level, and can reach the finals 7/10	20/ 20
Armenia - Inga & Anush - Jan Jan	M: There is quite good music potential. Even originality. Something to base presentation on. 8/10 L: Dear sirs, but it is awful. Seriously, English lyrics should be changed immediately or song should be performed completely in Armenian. Sister, here we go... 5/10 V: Vocals are good 8/10 O: Sing needs to be reworked and still, there will be a chance Europe will fail to understand it. 7/10	M – Ethnic-horror. Is it difficult to invent something new? Every time the same 2/10 L – Ah, everybody move your body. Sakis now sings for Armenia. 2/10 V – Live vocals are good, but they need a song. 4/10 O – Will it pass through principle of Macedonia, or we've got a chance to have final without Armenia? 3/10	21/ 8
Azerbaijan - Aysel and Arash - Always	M: Great ethno parts, though the rest of the song has typically Swedish flavour. Strong verses with rather bland chorus. Instrumental and quality of the recording is very high. 8/10 L: Lyrics are very standard one. Last year it was much better in this aspect. 7/10 V: I'm not fan of Arash, but hopefully he will cope with this song. Let's see how synchronized will be live vocals. 8/10 O: Finalist and should enter top 10. Song is much stronger than Turkey and Spain playing on the same field, but whether it will be able to beat them? Turkey will likely still get more televoting support. But it should beat Spain. 8/10	M – Vostochnie skaaaazki. Part ....th. At least it is not ethnic-horror. Stable and very pleasand, more quality one than Turkey or Spain.8/10 L – Stable Swedish lyrics, as we say 6/10 V – Vocals are also stable. 7/10 O – Chances to qualify are rather questionable. From one side, I'd prefer this very track to collect so called "Chlamydia votes" as it is more quality and ethnic one. From the other side, most of "chlamydiose" has gathered in first semifinal.	23/ 21
Belarus - Petr Elfimov - Eyes That Never Lie	M: First - change the intro! Urgently! Otherwise it is perfect "romantic metal", according to the performer's definition. Much better than average Petr's songs. 9/10 L: Very beautiful, lyrical text. A lot of work on pronunciation is required. I'd recommend to perform song partly in Russian. 9/10 V: Hardly there is any other male singer in Belarus whose vocal can be compared to Petr's. I do not see anything strange in image of the performer too, but reading comments from Europe - it is better to change something. 9/10 O: Judging on tendencies and draw - qualification chances are minimal. 6/10	M:Theme of Alehno is covered completely. There is no transfer from bridge to chorus. Quite sharp sound is spoilt by the appearance of the singer. 4/10 L: Stones, souls and other predictable nonsense 2/10 V: So what? You can not help such a song and such an appearance with vocal only. If it is not at Slavic Bazaar. 5/10 O: If he will not change his look, it will be failure worse than Alehno's one. 3/10	27/ 11
Belgium - Patrick Ouchene - Copycat	M: Modernized rock-n-roll. Nothing special, but very nice. 9/10 L: Great, both as an idea - how clone thought that Elvis is copycat, and it's realization with parts such as "he's too dead to rock'n'roll". 10/10 V: Great, and no doubts in live abilities. 9/10 O: Really, can viewers ignore such a wonderful concept? 8/10	M: Catchy, Elvis is back 10/10 L: Well, Elvis is speaking to his copy. 9/10 V: Very rock-n-roll vocal. 9/10 O: Unbelievably positive number that won't pass unnoticed. Bosnia & Herzegovina - Regina - Bistra voda	M: Everything in the best standarts of Lejla. And for that rock band had to turn into Hari and get rid of all guitar sounds. Result is worth of it and similar songs from Balkans always were the most successful 9/10 L: Typical Balkan love lyrics. 9/10 V: Good. 8/10 O: Will fight for the very highest places. Also there is excellent idea of a presentation for the Russian stage. 8/10	M: When they will stop cloning songs? This is another Lejla. Bosnia seemingly turns into a country of one song. 7/10 L: And here again, it is very similar to Lejla. 7/10 V: Even though vocal gives out a rock background. 8/10 O: Really, Balkans make me tired. Unfortunately, this will qualify to the final and can collect Balkan points there. 6/10	26/ 22
Bulgaria - Krassimir Avramov - Illusion	M: It could have been good, being instrumental. 9/10 L: I'm getting impression of the only line repeated all over again and again. Same mistake as with Moldova, it looks as if 4 minutes song was desperatly cut to 3 minutes 6/10 V: I still wonder who has inspired him to change pantomime career into singing? Now, he is singing all choruses with false falsetto and the only single verse in whisper. Even in the studio version. Extra point for addition of Petya in role of Azis 7/10 Т: Can't believe that singer with movements and charizma of a wood even with a feerique show in the vein of the music video will quailify to the final. 7/10	M: Massive eurohit in the style of Il Divo without any ethno parts. 8/10 L: Banal. I'm getting headaches from Gimme-Gimme in choruses 6/10 V: Yes-yes, vocal is feerique 10/10 O: Second final qualification for Bulgaria. Solid chances. Bulgarians are for another year using their brains to select their entry. 9/10	22/ 24
Croatia - Igor Cukrov feat. Andrea - Lijepa Tena	M: A Balkan standart, far below from the previous entries of this songwriter 6/10 L: Love lyrics with some religious parts too 6/10 V: I do not say he can not sing at all. But he can not perform this very song. It has vocal line suitable only for opera songers. And Igor, despite mentions that he has experience as acapello tenor, still is not qualified as opera singer. Even attempt to hide the mistakes with Andrea backings has failed. First of all, this is failure of producers, who selected such a song 5/10 O: And here is other question - whether Igor will be only Operation Triumph contestant in Euro 2009? If yes - he will get decent portion of Balkan votes. 8/10	M: Absolutely classic Balkan slow tempo song reminding 2004 one. Unfortunately, nothing new there. 6/10 L: V: Just when I thought that nothing can be worse than Metaxa. Unfortunately, he is not poweful enough live. 1/10 O: If he will sing same way as he did at preselection - he will go nowhere. 4/10
Cyprus - Christina Metaxa - Firefly	M: Slow pop song, and without usual ethnics 7/10 L: I like the lyrics, and beautiful staging with fireflies and butterflies can be done 8/10 V: I certainly remember the miracle, how they managed to improve Yiorgos' vocals in 2007, but sadly, I'm afraid here it can't be done even in 5 years. 5/10 O: Well, Greece has got almost no points twice in Junior contest, this song is typically Junior as well, but now it is Cyprus turn... 6/10	M – Nice, but rather unfinished theme. 4/10 L – Well, her brother seem to have rather difficult philosophy. I can't understand it. 4/10 V – Complete darkness. Bognibov in it's best. And how she sounds in chorus, even in studio version - is absolute horror. 0/10 O – Even if they will get drunk all the neighbours, I doubt that it will qualify to the final 0/10	20/ 8
Czech Republic - Gipsy.cz - Aven Romale	M: Number of fiddlers at the Eurovision after Marton has significantly increased. The beginning is interesting but then it goes too chaotic and enters in a total rap part. 5/10 L: Well, lyrics are clearly the best part of the song... 7/10 V: Let's see this choir singing live... 5/10 O: No chances. Will they use it as reason to withdraw? 5/10	M: Pop version of Gogol Bordello in ironic variant. 7/10 L: As all other parts of this song is pure irony. 6/10 V: Very much strange, but rather Gipsy and not completely rap. 6/10 O: Has some chances in such a weak semifinal. Not for the second to last place as some fans of turbo-folk are predicting. 7/10	17/ 19
Denmark - Brinck - Believe Again	M: Good British guitar pop. 8/10 L: With suitable lyrics 8/10 V: It is clear that performer's experience as singer is limited. But song is not very difficult - so he should cope well. 7/10 O: Should be in the final. 8/10	M:Boring and secondary pop. 4/10 L: And same secondary lyrics. 4/10 V: Singer for a boys band. 5/10 O: It is interesting, if Simon managed to qualify last year with a bit more interesting nonsense, whether same will happen this year too? 3/10	23/ 13
Estonia - Urban Symphony - Randajad	M: Similarily to Slovenia, quite unexpected composer has tried himelf in symphonic genre. Lohmus, contrary to Babic has succeeded in it. 9/10 L: This year there are massive number of philosophic lyrics as a reminder that even for 3 minutes song a sensible lyrics can be written. 10/10 V: Vocal is a bit weak for the overall level of the song. 8/10 O: Will finally Estonia qualify? Or will it and Slovenia cancel each other? 8/10	M - Does Sven Lohmus really CAN write such touching tunes? Genious. 10/10 L - Melnitsa-like lyrics about wanderers. Translation is impressive. Surely should keep Estonian lyrics. 10/10 V - Vocal is great. 10/10 O - For the first time since 1996 Estonia is my personal favourite. Finally. 10/10	27/ 30
Finland - Waldo's People - Lose Control	M: Disco of 90s will not fit playlist of 2009. 6/10 L: "Am I loosing my sanity?" and consequences of it 7/10 V: Not Passionworks or Kwan - choirs save female singer, rap eases itself 7/10 O: Probably will go nowhere, unless will qualify only thanks to the fireworks, like last year boys. 5/10	M:Radiohit of 1994-1996. Aren't they too late?. 0/10 L: Rather disco hall lyrics, how he was getting out of control. 0/10 V: There were many better vocalists in the preselection. 0/10 O: Unfortunately, chances are very high. Qualification and will be very high in the final scorecard	20/ 0
France - Patricia Kaas - Et s'il fallait le faire	M: Song that has some magical attraction, that brings you in trance, and first of all due to it's music qualities and not the qualities of the singer. It is very important to put a full stop on the very highest peak, and not start going down after that 10/10 L: Excellent lyrics, sadly very few listeners will understand it. 9/10 V: Surprisingly, but the performance currently is the weakest element in the song. All live videos lack that spark that is in studio version. 7/10 O: Is beating UK. This alone will be a success. Unfortunately, it is not viewers friendly item. 8/10	M: New variant is times stronger than the album one. Great job!. 10/10 L: They've got rid of the copypaste parts, now words have not been changed. Cool. 9/10 V - No questions in a new variant. 9/10 O: In a three minutes version sounds really much much better. Now really looks like a potential winner. 9/10	26/ 8
Germany - Alex Swings Oscar Sings - Miss Kiss Kiss Bang	M: Good, but rather americanized both in sound and in singer swing. 8/10 L: Fire is there, where is desire? 7/10 V: Don't know yet how it will sound live. 8/10 O: Success of the song will depend a lot on staging. And there is a potential to do it well. 8/10	M – Amazing Broadway-ish song in Lou Bega style. 9.5/10 L – Refrain is simply genious. 10/10 V – Very suitable for this kind of music. 9/10 O – For once, Big-4 has entered a song that really can fight for the top. 10/10	23/ 28.5
Greece - Sakis Rouvas - This Is Our Night	M: Everything is on a very standart level. One could think that during the long time of preparations better hit could have been created. 7/10 L: Lyrics are very weak. Probably they used the hook This Is Our Night from Dutch preselection, where that song lost. 6/10 V: Probably again will be performed by Alex Panayi. 6/10 O: I would not add Sakis to automatic favourite. 7/10	M – Without ethno? Central European pop. 7/10 L – I looked in your eyes and got surprise, this is our night. Fans should be happy. 7/10 V – Everyone remembers how he whispered and couldn't hold his breath in Istanbul? That hardly was imployed. 5/10 O - There was better song in the preselection. This has no Greek feel. I doubt it will be supported by Balkan "mafia". 6/10	19/ 19
Hungary - Zoli Adok - Dance With Me	M: Contrary to oldfashioned Finland and Georgia here we get a song for the modern discos. 9/10 L: Though Hungarian version is less understandable, but sounds better. And why to mention Singapore? 8/10 V: So far we've not been able to listen to the live performance, it is difficult to say anything. 8/10 O: The most interesting will happen if Hungary, Greece and The Netherlands will be drawn close to each other... They already seriously distract qualification chances one from another. 8/10	M: Great dance track, a bit of Brazilian. Simply amazing. 10/10 L: Discohit. Adding points in general. 10/10 V: Stable in the size of the song. 10/10 O: I know why they've been changing it. They tried to select the song that could get maximum points from me as Csezy did last year. And they managed to find it. 10/10	25/ 30
Iceland - Yohanna - Is It True?	M: Good ballad, nice chorus, a bit lacking of development. 7/10 L: Very typical balladish lyrics 8/10 V: Someone more experienced could do miracles, but anyway very satisfactory. 7/10 O: In different semis with Poland, everything is OK. 8/10	M – Classic Scandinavian ballad example. 8/10 L – EMO song about the lost love. 7/10 V – Pretty stable. 8/10 O – On the overall very week level looks solid. And Iceland had no slow songs since 2004. 9/10	22/ 23
Ireland - Sinead Mulvey & Black Daisy - Et cetera	M: Rock-schlager. Chorus clearly points out to the country of origin of songwriter. 8/10 L: Song seemingly is about polygamy. 7/10 V: Is a let-down of the song. Awful coordination of backing and lead vocals at the preselection. 6/10 O: Even with being seemingly rather catchy will have problems to qualify to the final. 6/10	M - Flat americanized pop-rock. 5/10 L - To be or not to be. To beat or not to beat. Variations of the outcome of this theme. 6/10 V - Nice, but not more than that. 6/10 O - Will be in bottom of the second semi. Could have had good chances in first one. 6/10	21/ 17
Israel - Noah and Mira Awad - There Must Be Another Way	M: Ballad that can be distingueshed from others only thanks to use of national instruments. I wished such a singer like Noa could get much stronger song. 7/10 L: Very weak English hook. If it wasn't there song could be more complete. 7/10 V: All others, learn how to do synchronization in duets. 10/10 O: And there will be problems with qualification. However, as last year horror managed to get through I won't be surprised with anything now. 7/10	M – Unbelievably touchy music. There is no need for anything else. 10/10 L – Idea of lyrics, despite political message, is purely genious. Dialogue of two women: Palestinian and Jewish, meaning of the song is that fear and pain will go away. 10/10 V – Great. 10/10 O – Best song of the first semi without any questions. I cried when Лучшая песня первого полуфинала без вопросов. Я ревел когда слушал и текст читал. 10/10	24/ 30
Latvia - Intars Busulis - Probka	M: Slow parts in the song are great, unfortunately, verses are not fitting it very well 8/10 L: We continue street-racing theme, this time with both lyrical and philosophic parts. Not bad. 9/10 V: No problems with it. And backing vocals are great as well. 9/10 O: It will be very important to get rid of usual chaotic performances of Busulis and try to create impressive stage presentation. Otherwise, Europe will not understand it 7/10	M: Striking rock-song, though rather plain at times. 8/10 L: Lyrics are about how people are having fun stuck in traffic jam, jump on bumpers etc 10/10 V: Intaras has amazing vocal abilities, which he already proved in Yurmala 10/10 O: I think the performance of the song in Russian will be not less blow to Latvian situation with Russian language than Georgian Put In. Great respect to Latvians. 10/10	26/ 28
Lithuania - Sasha Son - Love	M: Considered to be modern r'n'b ballad with strange guitar solo. There were several stronger songs in the preselection, but anyway not bad. 7/10 L: English chorus lyrics is just great. Only for idea 10/10 V: Good. 8/10 O: Some show presentation is required. I think for Lithuania it is analogue of Egle, such a chance can not be missed. 8/10	M – Good thing that from many ballads they've managed to select the best one. 10/10 L – English lyrics are very interesting - You'll love with a love. 10/10 V – Very Bilanish. But no other problems. 9/10 O – With good staging will qualify to the final and the rest will depend on a draw. 9/10	25/ 29
Macedonia - Next Time - Nesto sto ke ostane	M: Poodel-rock, 70th style. Pretty catchy. 8/10 L: Well, about that, the one and only 8/10 V: Standard teenagers pop-rock. 8/10 O: Should qualify with the help of teenage girl fans to the final. Will there be fireworks? Though of course it is not Samardzhiev who could have entered top 3. 8/10	M: Very catchy and pleasand Balkan-rock. 9/10 L: Again in the same style - love is given to us by God, how I lived without you etc. Please, don't translate it in English. 8/10 V: Amazing. 10/10 O: I hope all Balkans will soon take national selections as serious as in Macedonia. Finally they've got top 10 chance in the final. 10/10	24/ 27
Malta - Chiara - What If We	M: Great that song has sort of development. But it is really worse than two previous attempts. And ends going nowhere. 7/10 L: Lyrics are simply not suitable for singing. Phonetically hook What if we - Could be free is example of wrong selection. 6/10 V: Vocal, of course, is very strong 9/10 O: If drawn close to Iceland, may leave us at the semifinal stage. 7/10	M – Paelinck again comes to Euro. How this song is similar to the previous attempts by Chiara and how weaker it is. 6/10 L – Sense of the lyrics - why people can't fly like birds? 6/10 V – I had never any doubts in vocal abilities of Chiara. 8/10 O – In a strong year could get lost. In THIS year it will get to the final. 8/10	22/ 20
Moldova - Nelly Ciobanu - Hora din Moldova	M: Very serious attempt to become ethno-favourite of the contest 9/10 L: New version of the song has fulfilled the task put to it by music experts to replace last part of the song with a second chorus. However, English lyrics have deserved to be better, as currently they are a bit amateurish. 7/10 V: At the present moment, best female vocals of the contest 10/10 O: And at minumum one of the favourites. 9/10	M – Stormy song greatly demonstrating gipsy motives in a style of Bregovic music and Kusturica movies 10/10 L – It could be better without sha-la-lay, but respect for a great hooks. 10/10 V – Is there anyone who didn't know WHAT vocal Nelly has got? Then it is your problem. 10/10 O – Yes, finalist and will crush Balkan Girls there. 10/10	26/ 30
Montenegro - Andrea - Just Get Out Of My Life	M: I think, it's time to realise that the time of such a songs has passed. 6/10 L: Probably, about the girl who wants to preserve virginity till the marriage. Commendable. 7/10 V: Wasn't hooking at previous selections. 7/10 O: Can repeat last year's Andorra. 6/10	M:Deutsch-hit with a bit of Balkan influence. Sounds like Arabesques. 5/10 L: About how she wants to get escape from the man, she is tired from. 3/10 V: Very simple song. I haven't noticed any special merits of the vocals. 3/10 O: Unfortunately, both like in Finnish case have to admit that we will see Andrea in the final. 4/10	20/ 11
The Netherlands - De Toppers - Shine	M: Amazing. Finally, potentially strong entry from The Netherlands. 10/10 L: Anthemic lyrics are in vain, but lyrics are not important with such an performance. 8/10 V: Best vocals of the country in one package. 10/10 O: They will shine in Moscow! Thankful to such a songs, Eurovision still exists as a big celebration. 9/10	M:Impressive dance hit with anthemic touch. 7/10 L: Anthem. And rather interesting. 9/10 V: Golden oldies have great stage experience, no doubts vocals will be great. 8/10 O: Can get to the final. Rather should. 8/10	28/ 24
Norway - Alexander Rybak - Fairytale	M: Very good mix of pop-folk motives, very memorable. 9/10 L: Banal story how he first left her and then decided to return back. 7/10 V: Main gimmick is in innocent looks of the performer. Pretty suitable for Junior Eurovision 7/10 O: add there couple of girl - ballerinas and we've got a JESC winner. Currently is leading favourite of Eurovision 2009. Overloaded with histeria. One thing I wonder, how many countries will use violins next year? 10/10	M: Great pop-theme with folk element and amazing instrumental part. 10/10 L: I'm cursed with this love and pain. Impressive. He got in love with a fairytale and instead of present got cursed with a love. 10/10 V: Adding charm and ability to conquer your attention - without any doubts 10/10 O: This is favourite from all sides. It takes with his charm and you can not do anything with it. 10/10	23/ 30
Poland - Lidia Kopania - I Don't Wanna Leave	M: Strong ballad, so far having no other rivals in it's semifinal. 8/10 L: Very nice ballad lyrics. 8/10 V: Can be improved, but is way better than last year's horror. 7/10 O: Can they invite winners of Eurovision Dance Contest to back them up?. 8/10	M – Another americanized slow song. 5/10 L – I don't wanna leave, but it's my fate. With a strong accent. 4/10 V – Americanized meowing. 4/10 O – How they could prefer this naphtalene to Chamsky? I'm afraid ballet dancing will not save it. 5/10	23/ 13
Portugal - Flor-de-Lys - Todas as ruas do amor	M: Really, this is stronger than last year's entry, but unfortunately lacks of development. 8/10 L: "If you're a paint - I'm your canvas", equivalent of Russian "Zayka moya" with sort of philosofical sense. 7/10 V: Vocal is decent, no problems there 8/10 O: All signs of one of fan favourites. However, no great success can be expected, but will not failure as well. 8/10	M: Amazing Brazilian-styled beach folk. 10/10 L: I'm message to the whole world, I'm mirror of emotions. I will provide the translation as year ago. 9.5/10 V: Vocal also very Brazilian. On the highest level. 10/10 O: Considering that last year's case with awful 1st semi and great 2nd one repeats, I do not see any problems for qualification of this song. 10/10	23/ 29.5
Romania - Elena Gheorghe - The Balkan Girls	M: Ruslana's tendencies are still alive. 5/10 L: Who can translate this: "My hips are ready to glow"? 6/10 V: She is coping well with the breath and this is enough. 6/10 O: Unfortunately, through same roads. But should not trouble top 5, as the tendencies already are going away. 7/10	M:By path of Greek Chlamydia and Sirusho. Sadly 2/10 L: Refrain is written quite well. Couple of extra points for this. 6/10 V: Something indistinct. 4/10 O: Sadly. Show. Sadly. Chlamydia. To the final. 5/10	17/ 12

Serbia - Marko Kon & Milan Nikolic - Cepela	M: Folk irony from the famous composer who decided to sing himself. Great harmonica. It is fun and not pretentious as many pseudo-serious songs. 9/10 L: Great lyrics, about question of money in relations between man and women. 9/10 V: Vocal is on the level of the song. 7/10 O: Finalist, as were Kraljevi Ulice and Severina. 8/10	M – Not very interesting folk-freak. 5/10 L – Hm. She doesn't want me without money and my shoes have seen whole world. 5/10 V – Where are you, Flamingosi... Freak vocals too. 6/10 O – Though how great is that turbo-rubbish fans were disappointed -). I think it will fail to qualify from the final. 6/10	25/ 16
Slovakia - Kamil Mikulcik & Nela Pociskova - Let tmou	M: Song lacks integrity, but overall it is rather powerful ballad. 8/10 L: Another very philosophical song in national language. It's pity such a philosophical lyrics very rarely exist in English. 9/10 V: Female vocal is really spoiling the song, she is too screamy 7/10 O: Qualification chances are not high 7/10	M – Very sensible ballad in Irish taste. 9.5/10 L – Thematically looks like gospel, lyrics are very philosophical. 9/10 V – Just brilliant. 10/10 O – And another strong song adds to already packed with good items semifinal. 9/10	24/ 28.5
Slovenia - Quartissimo - Love Symphony	M: There is something for a start, but still, it will require a lot of work. 7/10 L: Or rather lack of them. 5/10 V: Well, I would understand if they make arrangement a-la Therion with male vocalist. But what we have now is pseudo playing on instruments, and vocal, even when it appears, adds nothing to the song. 5/10 O: Slovenia, you say? And Turkey will win. 8/10	M: Aha, and here is analogue of Greek Chlamydia from last year. 3/10 L: Take me, shake me, or otherwise I won't realise what are your feelings to me. Their neighbours have much more pleasant lyrics. 2/10 V: Absolutely Spanish vocals, however appearance is very Nordic one. Sweden - Malena Ernman - La Voix	M: Kempe, in it's purest form. 8/10 L: Well, Sweden partially in French - this is something new. However, lyrics are not very impressive in either language. 7/10 V: And, finally, good popera not in Avramov's style. Minus point for huge amount of prerecorded backing vocals in the performance. 9/10 O: Viewers will select it and juries will too and finally it is time for Sweden to reach a respected result. The best song of national final has won. 9/10	M: Swedish schlager with introduction from Lord of the Rings. Verses are significantly weaker than chorus. 8/10 L: English lyrics are very poor - I love you and that's all. French part is very strong. 8/10 V: No questions. 10/10 O: Any finalist of Melodifestivalen should qualify from such a weak semifinal. Even Af Ugglas. 10/10	24/ 26
Switzerland - Lovebugs - The Highest Heights	M: The most modern pop-rock song of the contest with strong instrumental part, even though I'm not a big fan of pop-rock style. 9/10 L: Nice philosophical lyrics. What waits us in the end of tunnel... or rather on the top of tree, and why lead character will fall from it is not said in it though. 9/10 V: Fascinating vocal. Lead singer is correct, song has some hypnotizing abilities. No problems with live performance. 9/10 O: Should do very good. 9/10	M – Very standard monotonous brit-pop-rock. Not impressive. 6/10 L – Possibly it is the best part of the song. Higher and higher. Interesting that all heights are reached by climbing on a tree. Good idea of song lyricist. 9/10 V – Fits the music. Nothing really outstanding. 7/10 O – I'm in a mix-up. Rather no than yes.	27/ 22
Turkey - Hadise - Dum Tek Tek	M: Absolutely cheap. Level of Turkish tavern. 4/10 L: And same lyrics. 5/10 V: Well, if they decided to take dance track, probably they should cope with it. 6/10 O: Finalist. Sadly. 8/10	M:Stable ethnic-pop smelling with Paparizou. However a quality one. 7/10 L: Very average, about the heart beating dum tek tek. Poor one. 4/10 V: Again reminds Paparizou a lot. 3/10 O: Will qualify to the final. Turkey will have a great support again. 7/10	15/ 14
UK - Jade - My Time	M: The development starts very late. 7/10 L: Probably about history of British Eurovision entries of the recent year. But won't help. 7/10 V: Girl is having pretty limited potential. 6/10 O: Show should be attached. Quality, impressive, eye catching back vocalists. And not Webber with the piano. 6/10	M:Don't think that there was any sense in creating such a buzz around the selection, resulted in average Americanized ballad. 1/10 L: Hey, those who felt down in the dirt! Get up! Our time has come! 3/10 V: Very average black vocal. Doubtful live performance. 2/10 O: In shadows. Unless, KE will not pay for it's second place just because of friendship. 3/10	20/ 6
Ukraine - Svetlana Loboda - Be My Valentine	M: Pop-folk-march. Minus for El Condor Pasa sample. 7/10 L: Elegant banter and could have worked with better pronounciation. 8/10 V: Considering that singer has to move a lot on the stage, performance is very good. 8/10 O: And as it is one of a very few freak shows this year, should work and qualify to the final. And there it will be interesting whether it can beat Russia, because it will be others fighting for victory. 7/10	M - Ruslana wrote a new song after hangover. Hangover syndrome reflected on quality. 5/10 L - At the same time she wrote the lyrics. 4/10 V - Ruslana after hangover...5/10 O - It is clear that both Russia and Ukraine have decided to take break this year.
