| Inga and Anush Arshakyans - the duet that is well proven in recent
years, both at home and foreign stage. Repertoire, vocal abilities, technique of
performance, charm and elegance - all this duet has almost at the top mark of the scale.
The basic repertoire of sisters are careful and at the same time very original
arrangements of folk songs. Anush Arshakyan was born on December 24, 1980 in Yerevan. She studied and graduated from music school named after S.Aslamazyan, class of piano. In 1994 she gained the first place and was awarded audience prize in "Sonorous voices" competition that took place in Omsk city. In this period she started promoting her activity as composer/author. Later on her creations had great success. As soon as she graduated from the music school in 1997-2001 she entered and graduated music collage named ager A.Babajanyan, class of piano. In 1999, she made her debut as a soloist together with state philarmonic orchestra and chorus of the Republic of Armenia. Since 2001 to 2005 she has studied and graduated from state conservatory of Yerevan, jazz-vocal class. Inga Arshakyan was born on March 18th, 1982, in Yerevan. She also graduated from music school named after S.Aslamazyan and music college named after A.Babajanyan, class of violin in 1997. Parallel with her studies she was working in the ensemble of violinists after G.Achemyan. She went on tours with the ensemble to the marzes of RA. In 1998 Inga joined her sister and together they promoted their activities. Not only duets, but also arias, where the violin plays a great role, are present in the repertoire. In 2002 graduating the class of the strings of music college following her sister she entered state conservatory of Yerevan, jazz vocal class. In 2005 she has graduated. In 2000 Inga and Anush entered State Song Theater of Armenia. Both of them performed national, ethnic songs and songs written by A.Grigoryan and Anush. They sang in many cities of Armenia as soloists of song theatre. In September 2002 they left for US for the concert tour with soloists of song theatre. After the concerts at "Alex" theatre in Los Angeles, sisters immediately got an offer to appear on the same stage with solo concerts. The song theater left for Tehran with same program. In 2002 Armenian variety song festival "Golden Lyre 2002" congratulated Anush and Inga in "Sympathy of audience" nomination. In Ferbuary 2003 sols concert program "Seasons of life" was prepared, the producer was A.Grigoryan. Ethnic, national as well as modern songs were included in the musical performance, as well as songs to the accompaniment of violin, guitar and piano. In March solo concerts of Inga and Anush took place in "Alex" theater. At the same time their first CD "We and our mountains" has been released. This was followed by invitations to appear on the stage with the same program in New York, Toronto, Argentina and Paris. In May 2003 sisters were invited to great celebration organized on the occasion of 79th anniversary of Charlez Aznavour, later on the sisters were honoured to be present on each Aznavour's visit to his homeland. After giving another series of concerts with theater in US sisters leave it and start own career. In 2003 their song "I don't find my way" was announced as the best song of the year during festival "Golden Lyre 2003". Same fate followed song "Tamzara" in 2004 for which first music video of the sisters was released. In 2004 album of the sisters is awarded "Best women pop retro album of they year" during "Armenian music awards" that took place in Hollywood. Tamzara album followed in 2006. For around a year now Inga and Anush had been working with productional agency Sharm, who organize their concerts, prepares to release new CD and deals with other issues of their careers. The new album will include 11 entries. Singer themselves call this album experimental, as folk songs will be presented there in the new arrangements and accompanied with other genres. "Our song for Eurovision is written in the genre of folk, with elements of contemporary music trends" - said Anush Arshakyan at the press conference. Song music is composed by Mane Akopyan, and lyrics by Avet Barseghyan (Armenian part) and Vardan Zadoyan (English part), arrangement has been prepared by Ara (Murzik) Torosyan. In her words their goal is to represent Armenian folk music in a new way. "Small countries like Armenia should always take part in contests such as Eurovision, to present their culture to the world", - said the singer. "Contest success depends not only on the artists, but from our side we will try to do everything to achive victory in Moscow", said Anush Arshakyan, adding that they will start preparations immediately. According to the producer Artur Asatryan, national final success was achieved thanks to the excellent and synchronized work of the whole team, including "Sharm" holding, which has signed sisters for three years contract. Asatryan also added that for Moscow a totally different presentation will be prepared, not similar to the one seen at the preselection.

вокальные данные, техника исполнения, шарм и
элегантность - все у дуэта практически на самой
верхней отметке шкалы. Основной репертуар сестер
- аккуратные, бережные и в то же время весьма
оригинальные обработки народных песен. Ануш Аршакян родилась 24го декабря 1980 в Ереване. Она закончила музыкальную школу им.Асламазяна по классу фортпеиано. В 1994 году завоевала первое место и приз зрительских симпатий на конкурсе в Омске. С этого времени она начинает выступать в качестве автора и композитора. Ее песни начинают пользоваться большим успехом. После окончания музыкальной школы она поступает в колледж им.Бабаджаняна по классу фортепиано. В 1999 году она дебютирует в качестве солистки, выступая с государственным филармоническим оркестром Армении. С 2001 по 2005 год она обучается в Ереванской консерватории по классу джаз-вокала. Инга Аршакян родилась в Ереване 18го марта 1982 года. Она также закончила музыкальную школу им.Асламазяна и колледж им.Бабаджаняна, по классу скрипки в 1997 году. Параллельно с ее учебой, она работала в ансамбле скрипачей им. Ачемяна, выступая с ним в различных турне. В 2000 году Инга и Ануш поступили в Государственный Театр Песни Армении. В нем они исполняли как национальные, этнические песни, так и песни написанные А.Григоряном и Ануш. В качестве солистов театра они выступают во многих городах Армении. В сентябре 2002 года они отправились в США с концертным туром с театром. После концертов в театре "Алекс" в Лос Анджелесе, сестрам немедленно предложили выступить на этой же сцене с сольными концертами. Тур театра продолжился в Тегеране. В то же время выходит их первый альбом "Мы и наши горы". За его выходом следуют приглашения выступить в Нью Йорке, Торонто, Аргентине и Париже. В мае 2003 года сестер приглашают на празднование 79-летней годовщины певца Шарля Азнавура, с тех пор они выступают на каждом его прибытии на родину. После очередной серии концертов с театром в США сестры начинают сольную карьеру. В 2003 году их песня "Я не могу найти свой путь" награждается как лучшая песня года на фестивале "Золотая лира 2003". Тот же приз получает и песня "Тамзара", на которую в 2004 году снимается первый видеоклип сестер. В 2004 году дебютный альбом завоевывает премию "Лучший женский поп ретро альбом года" во времии церемония вручения армянских музыкальных премий, прошедшей в Голливуде. В 2006 году выходит второй альбом "Тамзара". Инга и Ануш уже около года работают с продюсерским агентством ШАРМ, который организует их концерты, готовит к выпуску новый аудиоальбом и занимается всеми сопутствующими творчеству вопросами. В новый альбом исполнительниц войдет 11 песен. Сами певицы называют этот альбом экспериментальным, так как фольклорные песни будут представлены в новой аранжировке и в сопровождении с другими жанрами. "Наша песня для Евровидения написана в жанре фолк, с элементами современных направлений музыки",- сказала Ануш Аршакян на пресс-конференции. Музыку к ней написала Мане Акопян, слова – Авет Барсегян (армянская часть текста) и Вардан Задоян (английская часть), а Ара (Мурзик) Торосян осуществил аранжировку. По словам певицы, их цель – представить армянскую народную музыку в новом свете. "Такие маленькие страны как Армения должны непременно участвовать в конкурсах, подобных Евровидению, чтобы представлять миру свою культуру",- сказала певица. "Успех на конкурсе зависит не
только от артистов, но мы со своей стороны
приложим все усилия для победы на Евровидении

| - Good day, Inga and Anush! Our congratulations to the
fact that you have become the representatives of Armenia in Eurovision 2009! What do you
feel now, being selected Eurovision contestants? - Honestly, the first wave of inspiration and joy has already gone, and now we feel a tremendous responsibility, because we had the opportunity to perform in front of the millions of international audiences and approve expectations of millions of our compatriots living both in Armenia and abroad. - How did you get the idea to take part in Eurovision contest? - We were invited to participate in the qualifying competitions in previous years as well, but only this year the decision to participate in the selection has matured. This decision was taken together with the producers of "Sharm Holding", with which we are already cooperating for one and a half years. - Was it hard to win the national selection? Whom did you consider as your main competitors? - Qualifying round was fairly saturated with songs of various genres. Personally, we really liked the bright performances in the style of folk-rock. But, on the basis of sms-voting, as well as the jury marks, our song was the winner. - How would you describe your entry "Jan Jan" in one phrase? - Lively, radiant, melodic innovation. - Tell us the story of its creation? Was it written specially for the contest? - Yes, it was written specifically for the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. The author of music is Mane Hakobyan, the author of the Armenian text is Avet Barseghyan and author of the English text is Vardan Zadoyan. - Many of your fans believed that you will enter selection with the song "Gutan", why it was decided to abandon that idea? - Indeed, the song "Gutan" is a favorite of our fans. In internet there are active debates about this song, but it was never considered by us for Eurovision participation. - After a national selection of your song has been rearranged. Do you plan to prepare another version of it, versions in other languages, remixes? - It is possible, if it will be necessary. - What aim you set for yourself for the contest in Moscow? - The main task for any artist is to "set on fire" multimillion audience, while to try not to worry himself and enjoy his own performance. - Do you think the promo tour is an important aspect of preparations for the Eurovision? What countries do you plan to visit before the competition? Anush - In April we plan to visit several countries taking part in the Eurovision contest. And also, on March 29, at the invitation of one of the major organizations of the Armenian diaspora in France, we have taken part in the concert in Paris. This concert is not part of promotour, but it was a great opportunity to perform in front of European spectators. Inga - Though past experiences show that the key to victory in the competition is not always a vast geography of a promotour. - You have filmed the rather unusual video for your song, tell us, how it's shooting went? Anush - Due to non-standard thinking of one of the best clipmakers of the country - David Babayan, shootings of the video were fascinating. It lasted about five days. In the mass scenes were involved 350 professional dancers. Inga - By the way, our costumes, created by our mother to the sketch of video director, were made of a several separate parts, sort of a "constructor". We saw how they look only at the scene, after details of the suit were put together. - Recently, you had a photo session with a well-known agency "Fresh-Art", tell us, what would be your stage image like in Moscow? - Yes, thanks to the work with the agency "Fresh Art" there will be cardinal changes in our image, and we think they are for the better. - What do you consider to be more important for the success at Eurovision: song, artist, or show? - We believe that everything should be harmonious. - Sometimes people label Eurovision as a political contest. Do you agree? - We'd like not to think so. - Addition of a jury vote - a positive change for you? - Certainly. The role of the jury is most important as you're judged not only by masses of viewers, but also by the professionals. - Have you heard the entries from other countries, anything to note there? - We have listened to the most of the competing songs, we think that this year the competition is pretty serious. - Let's talk briefly about your career. What do you consider as the main peak of it till now? Inga - We believe that the main highlights in our career were the creative projects that have been well evaluated not only by the public, but also awarded the highest state awards. Anush - Our view is set for the future. We believe that the most impressive stages of our career are yet to come. - What are your musical influences, it is mostly folk music? Anush - Let's start with the fact that we have a classical musical education (Inga is violinist and Anush is pianist). We have always enjoyed rock, jazz. And yet we are interested in ethno-culture of other countries. Inga - Anush is also interested in a remixing and recovery of forgotten folk tunes. - Do you plan to release the new album before the Eurovision? - Our new, 3rd album in almost ready. It's release is scheduled later this year. - And finally, if you have something to add to the readers of this interview, you can do it now. - Thank you very much for your attention, for your interest in our work. Это решение было принято совместно с продюсерами компании “Шарм Холдинг”, с которыми мы работаем уже полтора года. - Тяжело ли было победить на национальном отборе? Кого вы считали своим основным конкурентом? - Отборочный тур был довольно насыщенным песнями разных жанров. Лично мне очень понравились яркие исполнения в стиле фольк-рок. Но по итогам sms-голосования, а также по оценкам жюри победила все же наша песня. - Как бы вы описали вашу конкурсную песню “Jan Jan” в одной фразе? - Заводная, лучезарная, мелодичная новинка. - Расскажите нам историю ее создания? Была ли она написана специально для конкурса? - Да, она была написана специально для участия в Евровидении. Автор музыки Манэ Акопян, автор армянского текста Авет Барсегян и автор английского текста Вардан Задоян. - Многие ваши поклонники считали, что вы выставите на конкурс песню “Gutan”, почему было решено отказаться от этой идеи? - Действительно, песня “Гутан” является фаворитом наших поклонников. А недавно, 29 марта, по приглашению одной из крупных организаций армянской диаспоры во Франции, мы приняли участие в концерте в Париже. Этот концерт не является частью промотура, но это была великолепная возможность выступить перед европейским зрителем. Инга- Хотя опыт прошлых лет показывает, что залогом победы в конкурсе не всегда является обширная география промотура. - Вы сняли довольно необычный видеоклип к вашей песне, расскажите, как прошли его съемки? Ануш - Благодаря нестандартному мышлению одного из лучших клипмейкеров страны – Давида Бабаяна, съемки видеоклипа были захватывающими. Длились около пяти суток. В массовых сценах было задействовано 350 профессиональных танцоров. Инга - Кстати, наши костюмы, созданные нашей мамой по эскизу режиссера клипа, состояли из нескольких отдельных частей, такой своеобразный “конструктор”. Мы увидели как они выглядят непосредственно на сьемочной площадке, после того, как детали костюма были “смонтированны”. - Недавно, вы провели фотосессию с известным агентством "Фреш-Арт", скажите, каким будет ваш сценический образ в Москве? - Да, благодаря работе с агенством “Фреш Арт”, в нашем имидже происходят координальные перемены, и мы думаем, в лучшую сторону. - Что вы считаете более важным для успеха на конкурсе Евровидение: песню, исполнителя, или шоу? - Мы считаем, что все вместе должно быть гармоничным. - Иногда о Евровидении говорят, что это политический конкурс. Вы согласны с этим? - Нам не очень хочется так думать. - Добавление голосования жюри вы воспринимаете позитивно? - Несомненно. Роль жюри важна тем, что тебя оценивают не только массы, но и профессионалы. - Вы уже слышали конкурсные песни других стран, могли бы что-то отметить? - Мы прослушали большинство песен, думаем, что в этом году конкуренция довольно серьезная. - Давайте вкратце поговорим о вашей карьере. Что вы считаете ее основным пиком на сегодня? Инга -Основными пиками в карьере мы считаем творческие проекты, которые были оценены не только со стороны публики, но и удостоены высочайших государственных премий. Ануш- Наш взгляд устремлен в будущее. Мы верим, что самые внушительные этапы нашей карьеры впереди. - Каковы ваши музыкальные влияния, это в основном национальная музыка? Ануш - Начнем с того, что у нас классическое музыкальное образование (Инга- скрипачка и Ануш-пианистка). Мы всегда увлекались роком, джазом. А еще мы интересуемся этно-культурой других стран. Инга – Ануш так же интересуется обработками и восстановлением забытых народных мелодий. - Планируете ли вы выпустить перед Евровидением свой новый альбом? - Наш новый, 3-ий по счету альбом почти готов. | Already on 25th of April, representatives of Armenia, the duo of
sisters Arshakyan, will depart to Moscow. In anticipation of the Eurovision sisters gave

Armenia has fallen into the reliable hands of an epatage designe trio «Fresh Art». It
will be they, who will be responsible for the staging of the presentation for Arshakyan
sisters, as well as for the choreography, stage design and, indeed, the appearance of Inga
and Anush on the stage of "Eurovision". As designers revealed in an interview to
Channel One Russia, the offer of cooperation was made at the highest level: Fresh Art: "We have received a phone call from the Ministry of Culture and were asked to help. The proposal was so flattering that we could not reject it. Our cooperation started with just this call, we immediately met, then we were given a chance to listen to the song. As soon as we heard it, the ideas of image were immediately born, we realized that the girls should be very bright, but at the same time, should bear a clear ethnic image. We had the idea to make a photosession of girls, which is already used for the promo of their future performances. " Photosession under the guidance of Fresh Art was so successful that the Armenian side proposed the designers to take up the complete task: Fresh Art: "We will do everything except for the song itself, because it is already written, and we feel it is very good. When we heard the song, then realized that this is the exact material, with which we would be interested to work, it gives us the ground for maximum expression. We will do the entire show: choreography, set design, costumes, hairdos, make-up. According to the rules of the contest on the stage should be no more than 6 people, so we will have 4 female dancers supporting Inga and Anush . In our view, the presentation turned to be very bright, and worthy of this grand event. " |

Каналу Россия дизайнеры рассказали о том, что
предложение о сотрудничестве поступило им на
самом высоком уровне: Fresh Art: "Нам позвонили из Министерства культуры и попросили помочь. Предложение было настолько лестным, что мы не могли отказаться. Наше сотрудничество началось как раз с этого звонка, мы сразу встретились, после чего нам дали послушать песню. Как только мы ее услышали, то сразу родился образ, мы поняли, что девушки должны быть очень яркими, но в то же время, должен четко читаться этнический характер артистов. Нам пришла идея сделать фотосъемку девушек, которая уже используется для промо их будущего выступления." Фотосессия под руководством Fresh Art прошла настолько удачно, что армянская сторона предложила дизайнерам взяться за работу как говорится "под ключ": Fresh Art: "Мы будем делать все, кроме самой песни, так как она уже написана, причем на наш взгляд очень удачно. Когда мы услышали песню, то поняли, что это как раз тот самый материал, над которым нам было бы интересно поработать, он дает нам почву для максимального самовыражения. Мы будем делать весь номер: хореографию, сценографию, костюмы, прически, макияж. По правилам конкурса на сцене должно быть не более 6 человек, поэтому у нас в номере, кроме Инги и Ануш будут еще 4 танцовщицы. На наш взгляд, номер получился очень ярким и достойным этого грандиозного события." |

conference of representatives of Armenia at Eurovision 2009 Arshakyan sisters took place.
Fans and bloggers were also invited to attend it. "Of course, we are positively
disposed and approach this competition with all the responsibility and seriousness,"
- said during the meeting Inga Arshakyan. Concerning the image of the new singers, developed by Fresh Art singer said: "In these images are both us and not us, there is some kind of novelty. Of course, there are still ethnic elements in the song, production, and in the image." In her turn, Anush added that Moscow company has shown quite a interesting approach. "In this image there is shown an integrated approach to the Caucasian culture. For Europeans, there is no clear line between the Georgian, Armenian and Assyrian cultures," - she said. In doing so, Anush noted that in these images, they were shown as ancient priestesses, or princess, though "they still look Armenian" Speaking on the final version of the presentation, Anush informed that they will sing without backing vocals. There will be 4 female dancers involved in the show. "The final image is similar to the one that Moscow company has prepared for the photo session. I would like to add that in the final version there will be bright colours," - she explained. Regarding other contestants, sisters have noted to like songs representing Russia and Bosnia, as they are also based on ethnic influences. As part of the promo tour Arshakyan sisters will perform at fan parties in London and Amsterdam, will visit Bulgaria. конкурсе Евровидение 2009 сестер Аршакян. Посетить
ее были также приглашены поклонники дуэта и
онлайн-блоггеры. "Конечно же, мы положительно
настроены и подходим к этому конкурсу с
ответственностью и серьезностью", - сказала в
ходе встречи Инга Аршакян. Касательно нового имиджа певиц, разработанных компанией Fresh Art певица отметила: "В этих образах - мы и не мы, в них есть какая-то новизна. Конечно же, сохраняются этнические элементы как в песне, постановке, так и в образе". В свою очередь Ануш добавила, что московская компания показала довольно-таки интересный подход. "В этих образах отразился комплексный подход к кавказской культуре. Для европейцев нет четкой грани между грузинской, армянской и ассирийской культурами", - сказала она. При этом Ануш отметила, что в этих образах они предстали как древние царевны или жрицы, хотя "взгляд остался армянским", сообщает tert.am Говоря об окончательном
варианте своего номера, Ануш сообщила, что они
будут петь без бэк-вокала. А танцевальную часть
обеспечат 4 танцовщицы. "Окончательный образ
будет похож на тот, который подготовила
московская компания для фотосессии. Добавлю, что
в окончательном варианте появятся яркие
цвета", - пояснила она. В рамках промо-тура сестры
Аршакян выступят на фанатских вечеринках в
Лондоне и Амстердаме, посетят Болгарию. Уже 29го
марта они отправятся во Францию, где выступят на
концерте и встретятся с Шарлем Азнавуром. |

| Slightly more than two years have passed since the joyful day when Maria
and Anastasia Tolmachevy on 2nd of December 2006 became winners of Junior Eurovision 2006. Then the company FRESH ART acted as creators of the styke for the future young Russian stars, strengthening the foundation of their victory. In mid-March of 2009 in sunny spring Moscow it was announced about a start of the new creative phase, FRESH ART, preparation of Inga and Anush Arshakyan for participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Inga and Anush will perform song "Jan-Jan" in ethno-pop style and FRESH ART will prepare for performances: stage design, choreography, costumes, makeup, hair style, so, everything, besides the song and the voices of the two wonderful and original singers from Armenia. Inga and Anush: "We are really excited to work with FRESH ART! Our first work with these talented artists has become a photosession for Eurovision, which was held just recently, on 16th of March. After it, we literally have fallen in love with them, in their style of work, careful and rigorous approach to the person with whom they are creating new image and new vision. We made the right choice, by combining our forces with them, we will do everything possible to reach victory for Armenia! Now it's only up to the viewers to make right choice!" больше двух лет прошло с радостного дня, когда
Мария и Анастасия Толмачёвы 2 декабря 2006 г. стали
победителями детского конкурса песни
"Евровидения 2006". Тогда компания FRESH ART выступала в качестве стилеобразующей для будущих юных российских звезд, значительно упрочнив для победы фундамент их выступления. В середине марта этого года, в солнечной весенней Москве было объявлено о новом творческом этапе FRESH ART – представлении сёстер Инги и Ануш Аршакян на конкурсе песни "Евровидение 2009" от Армении. Инга и Ануш исполнят в стиле этно-поп песню "Jan-Jan", а FRESH ART подготовят для выступления: сценографию, хореографию, костюмы, макияж, прически, одним словом, всё, кроме самой песни и голосов двух удивительных и самобытных певиц Армении. On the press conference held today were introduced the 21 participant of the Armenian
national selection which will be held on 14 of February live on Firsh channel of ArmTV and
satellite Panarmenian TV. Also was held the draw of the running order. The show of the 14th will be similar to real Eurovision Song contest with the same voting system (jury and sms), green room and press conference with the winner after the show. |

названы имена 21 финалиста национального отбора
Армении, который состоится 14го февраля и будет
показан на Первом канале Армянского телевидения
и Panarmenian TV. Также прошла жеребьевка порядка
выступлений. Шоу 14го февраля будет проходить в формате, аналогичном самому Евровидению с такой же системой голосования (жюри и СМС), грин-румом и пресс-конференцией победителя по его окончанию. |

goes back to the open national preselection procedure, as confirmed by new head of
delegation Narek Adonts in November. NF date has been set on 14th of February, 20 singers
will take part, jury and televoting will be applied. Venue of the contest will be Sport
& Concert Complex in Yerevan. Public broadcaster started accepting applications to take part in Eurovision 2009 preselection. Songs not longer than 3 minutes with lyrics containing no political claims are accepted by February 7th. Application should include song in mp3 format and also private information of the candidate: name, surname, age and contacts. Singers Mher - "My Heart. Спортивно-Концертном комплексе Еревана. Общественный телеканал принимает заявки на армянский отборочный тур для Евровидении 2009. Длина песни не должна превышать 3 минуты, текст не должен содержать политического подтекста. Заявки принимаются до 7-ого февраля на адрес narek@armtv.com. of a Down leader Serj Tankyan has categorically deny different claims of his alleged
Eurovision participation, stating to Asbarez portal
the following: "You know what happened, is when I was in Finland there was a Finnish journalist who asked me if I wanted to be a part of a song competition, he said, "It would be cool to have a song competition about the genocide and it would be an artistic way of raising awareness about the Armenian genocide." And all I said was like, "Wow, that's an interesting idea." He then asked, "Do you think you'd ever be interested in participating in something like that?" And I said, "Maybe, yeah." And that turned into, as far as the press, people coming up to me and saying, "Are you going to take System of a Down to do this Eurovision thing... And I'm like, "What Eurovision, what Armenia, what System of a Down? Like, what are you talking about? So, it's all news to me, it was all a misinterpretation and a misunderstanding to a point where I had to actually call my label reps in Finland and asked them to please tell the journalist to retract those statements, since I never said that. I've never said that I would do anything regarding Eurovision, let alone get SOAD involved in it. Neither I nor anyone I know has spoken to the Armenian government about Eurovision. Nonetheless this has spread. I've denied it in the press numerous times already." |

возможном участии в Евровидении, заявив порталу Asbarez
следующее: "Знаете, как все это вышло. Когда я был в Финляндии один финский журналист спросил, не хотел бы я поучаствовать в песенном конкурсе. Он сказал: "Было бы круто написать песню о геноциде и таким образом повысить с помощью музыки знание людей об армянскому геноциде". Все, что я ответил, было что-то вроде: "Это интересная идея". Затем он спросил: "Как вам кажется, вам когда-нибудь захочется принять участие в чем-нибудь таком?". И я ответил: "Ну да, возможно". И после этого пресса, люди стали приходить ко мне и спрашивать "Вы собираетесь выступить на Евровидении вместе с System of a Down?". На что я не мог понять: "Какое Евровидение? Какая Армения? Какой System of a Down? О чем вы вообще говорите?". Так что, все это стало новостью для меня самого, это было связано с недопониманием, и я попросил представителей своего лейбла в Финляндии уведомить журналистов и попросить их написать опровержение подобным утверждениям, поскольку я их никогда не делал. Я никогда не говорил, что у меня есть планы по поводу конкурса Евровидение, а уж тем более, что я хочу выдвинуть SOAD на него. Ни я сам, ни кто либо кого я знаю, не разговаривал с правительством Армении по поводу Евровидения. И все-таки этот слух распространился. Я уже множество раз его опровергал". |
