Anis Basim Moujahid was born 4 July 1992. He is of Moroccan origin, but lives in Høje Gladsaxe, a large housing project on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Have completed 9 class education and subsequently, he worked full-time with the music. At age of 15, he took part in the 2008 edition of the talent program The X Factor and reached the quarterfinals (his older brother Nabil Moujahid took part in the 2010 edition in formation In-Joy eliminated in the second week of live shows). After X Factor, Basim released his debut album in 2008 entitled "Alt det jeg ville have sagt". For the album, he collaborated with Danish X Factor judge Remee and engaged on a tour in the country. The album reached #8 in the Danish Albums Chart going gold. There were three singles from the album, "Alt det jeg ville have sagt", "Jeg vil" and "Baby, jeg savner dig".In October 2009, he released his second album "Befri dig selv". The album reached #21 on the Danish Albums Chart and saw release of two singles "Lad ikke solen gå ned" (reaching #15 in the Danish Singles Chart) and title track "Befri dig selv". Basim has also participated in the 2009 edition of "Vild med dans", the Danish edition of Dancing with the Stars, where he danced with Claudia Rex, finishing 9th. In 2013 he has s has released EP "5".
Cliché Love Song was written by co-written by Basim with Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde and Daniel Fält from the production company GL Music. They are a team based in Copenhagen and London and have been involved in No. 1 hit singles/albums, successful TV shows and blockbuster Movies. They have had No.1 hits in 11 countries including a No. 1 Billboard in 2013 alone. Basim describes Cliche Love Song as a pop song with a hint of soul and R&B. The lyrics of the song had to be changed slightly to fit Eurovision rules, omitting "F..." word from the contest version, while EBU had no objections to use of "damn" and "Katy Perry". The staging of the performance was designed by Birgitte Næss-Schmidt."Tunes often just come to you when you least expect it, and the melody to Cliche Love Song came out of the blue. The song is about a girl I meet and have a crush on. I try and do everything I can in order to get her to love me, but no matter what I do, it just feels like a cliché, and that is the theme of the song. But there is a twist to the song. It is going to be fantastic to sing Cliche Love Song for the rest of Europe! I am going to have the entire country watching my back, and we just need to get the rest of Europe to think like us."
According to songwriter Lasse Lindorff, "Cliche Love Song" is the result of a highly concentrated work day when he and the rest of the team started from zero in the morning and had a basics of the song done after ten hours in the studio. After some minor changes the track was ready to be recorded. "We did not go into the studio to write a Grand Prix winner, but to make a radio hit that could attract wide ranged interest. And then we made the song to fit Basim. He gave it more edge and a stronger vocal that closely resembles the American soul singers".Latest news

On Thursday Basim has visited radio Klubben to talk about the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. "Right now I make sure to get some propel sleep and eat well, and in general be in balance with myself, so I'm ready for the final", he told. "The theme of the postcard is the comfort that we are known for here in Denmark, but with an added twist"
In charge of production of all 37 postcards is Danish company Treshow Film Production. It's owner Stevan Treshow personally has worked on Basim's postcard.
On Friday morning MGP winner Basim was at Balders Plads in Nørrebro in Copenhagen to record a TV trailer for DR ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest in May. At the recording were present two classes of 3rd grade pupils of Kildevældsskolen in Copenhagen, who were due to sing and dance together with their idol. Basim was received with a roaring cheers of the approximately 30 children when he arrived, but the joy was equally at Basims side, and his good humor and laughter filled the streets of Nørrebro. There were handed out lots of high-fives from Basim to the cheering children. At a cafe on the other side of the street sat singer Marie Key who also came to the shooting. / Photos: Nils Meilvang, BT"I'm really good with kids. Sometimes I wish I could see myself as a child and give myself a hug. I would have wished that there were more, in addition to my parents, who had hugged me when I was a kid. Friday's shooting was just one of many points of Basims crowded calendar. Besides practicing on his appearance for the Eurovision Song Contest in May has Basim is busy promoting his song, giving concerts around Denmark, and next week he travels to Amsterdam to take part in Eurovision In Concert.
"There's one thing I've learned. One day you can be insanely popular, the next less popular. Right now I am enjoying the spotlight is on me, but I also know that suddenly can easily get someone other than me in the focus. I just hope I can make everyone proud"
Basim is preliminary counting to keep his curly hair for the Eurovision Song Contest. "I know that people at home are used to seeing me without curls. But I like it and would like to distinguish myself a little", said Basim who got this hairstyle in connection with his role in the musical "Grease" at Tivoli.
"The main thing is that we're having a party on stage, and I invite all viewers to the party. That will be the challenge. Otherwise, there may be a small gimmick. But why change something that already works? If my performance worked at home, it should also work abroad"
It was the winner of this year's DMGP Basim, who sat behind the wheel when the Animal Protectors center in Rødovre have received a completely news animal ambulance, which is an important tool for specific animal welfare issues. The car has become a reality after the pet store chain Maxi Zoo through autumn has collected money among its customers. They have gathered 200,000 DKK, and on top of them the car dealer Andersen and Martini put the remaining 100,000. Although the young singing star has a hard overbooked calendar, he had no doubt to accept this charity proposal. Since the 21-year-old singer two weeks ago won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, many media have raised interest in the fact that his parents come from Morocco.
"It's not really something I've thought about. I may well have Moroccan roots, but I'm still Dane with a Danish passport, attended a Danish school and grew up in Denmark. So I do have some other spices in the blood and it is fine, but it does not make me less Danish"
explains Basim after some newspaper journalists have called him an immigrant. "I am not an immigrant. I have not migrated to any country", he says. He also explained that it was his personal idea to use Danish flag in the performance: "There should be a celebration, and Danish flag is a good start to a good party. Whenever there's a party, and I feel that it fits, I use Danish Flag. It is a sign that you can gather, enjoy yourselves and have fun. A fine symbol of comfort, unity and celebration. And happy days". "I do not worry at all about the Eurovision perfomance. For me performing is that I can get out and meet people, and if it's in a mall or in the park or in the Forum or in B & W Halls - it's all the same for me. I do not feel any pressure. I must just do what I have been doing for the last six years - sing a song and make a feast, so it's something I've done many times before. It's not a huge pressure. Just as everyone else is not nervous when you go to your regular work."
Basim also tells that besides being singer he is also songwriter, and especially he has been writing a numerous songs for foreign artists:
"I have an international agreement with Warner Chappell, a music publisher. I have been in Korea, Japan, Los Angeles and wrote and got several songs around the world. So I can have a song out in Finland, a song out in Korea, a song out of Japan and a song in Nashville, which I even know nothing about. I just write songs, and then it is a publisher who makes sure that the songs are released"
Preselection
Traditionally, Danish entry for Eurovision Song Contest will be selected via "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix" competition. DMGP 2014 will take place on 8 March 2014 at Arena Fyn in Odense. It will be the first time the event has been held in the city for the last 21 years. Show will be hosted by Louise Wolff and Jacob Riising. Submission period was open from August 20 to October 7, 2013. A record 872 entries have been received. A jury has chosen 6 of these songs to take part in the selection final, with DR adding 4 participants directly as wildcards (WC).
On February 17 press conference with the artists took place, and 30-second extracts of participating entries were presented there. Full songs will be presented in the week prior to the show, 2 per day on P4 Play with Andrew Jensen broadcast between 12:20 and 13:00 CET. You can listen to them here.
Jury of the final: Jørgen de Mylius, Cutfather, Chief1, Søs Fenger, Camille Jones. Special guests: Birthe Kjær, Rollo & King and Kirsten & Søren. Winning songwriter will receive prize of 100.000 DKK from KODA, Danish songwriting association.

По словам автора песни Лассе Линдорффа, "Cliche Love Song" является результатом работы с высокой концентрацией проделанной за день - он и другие члены команды начали рано утром с нуля, а через 10 часов у них был практически готовый трек. За съемки всех 37 посткардов отвечает датская компания Treshow Film Production. Ее владелец Стивен Трешоу лично руководил съемкой посткарда Басима.
В пятницу утром победитель DMGP Басим снимал на площади Balders Plads в Нёрребро ТВ ролик для телеканала DR в связи с конкурсом Евровидение. На съемках присутствовали два третих класса Копенгагенской школы Kildevældsskolen, которые должны быть петь и танцевать со своим кумиром. Приезд Басима был встречен громкими приветствиями от примерно 30 детей, но их радость разделял и сам Басим, который своим юмором и смехом заполнил улицы Нёрребро. Пятничная съемка была лишь одним из мероприятий в загруженном календаре Басима. Помимо репетиций своего выступления для Евровидения в Мае, Басим занят раскруткой своей песни, дает концерты в Дании, а на следующей неделе отправится в Амстердам для участия в Eurovision In Concert.
"Есть одна вещь, которую я понял. В один день ты можешь быть сумасшедше популярен, на следующий - гораздо меньше. Прямо сейчас я получаю удовольствие от того, что нахожусь в центре внимания, но я знаю, что однажды кто-то другой может оказаться на моем месте. Сейчас я просто хочу сделать, чтобы все мною гордились"
Басим предварительно планирует сохранить кудрявую прическу для Евровидения. "Я знаю, что датские зрители привыкли видеть меня без кудрей. Но мне так очень нравится, и этим я выделяюсь", говорит Басим, который изменил прическу для участия в мюзикле "Grease" в Тиволи.
"Самое важное - устроить на сцене реальный праздник, и пригласить на него всех зрителей. Это будет вызовом. Возможно, мы добавим в номер небольшую фишку. Но зачем менять что-то, что уже и так работает? Если мое выступление сработало дома, то оно должно сработать и за рубежом"
Победитель DMGP Басим сидел за рулем нового автомобиля скорой помощи, который получила в среду организация защиты животных Dyreværnet для своего центра в Рёдовре. Приобретение новой "скорой" стало реальным после того, как магазин для животных Maxi Zoo осенью собрал 200 тысяч крон среди своих клиентом, а еще 100 тысяч к ним добавил дилер автомобилей Andersen & Martini. Хотя у юного исполнителя очень напряженный график, он безо всякого сомнения принял предложение об участии в благотворительной акции.

С момента победы 21-летнего исполнителя две недели назад на Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, многие СМИ проявили интерес к тому факту, что его родители родом из Марокко.
"Я никогда не думал в этом ключе. Возможно, у меня и есть марокканские корни, но все-таки я датчанин, у меня датский паспорт, я посещал датскую школу и вырос в Дании. То, что у меня есть другие примеси в крови, это нормально, и это не делает меня менее датчанином"
объясняет Басим, после того, как некоторые журналисты назвали его иммигрантом. "Я не иммигрант. Я никуда никогда не мигрировал", говорит он. Певец также объяснил, что идея использовать датский флаг в своем выступлении была его собственной: "Мы хотим создать праздник, и датский флаг - неплохое начало для этого. Всегда, когда проходит вечеринка, и я чувствую, что он не будет там лишним - я использую датский флаг. Это знак того, что вы можете собираться, получать удовольствие и веселиться. Я просто должен сделать то, что я делаю уже последние шесть лет - спеть песню и сделать людям праздник, и этим я занимался уже много раз. Это не налагает давления. Вы же не нервничаете, когда идете каждый день на вашу обычную работу?"
Басим также рассказывает, что помимо того, что он певец, он еще и автор песен, и работает в этом плане в основном с зарубежными артистами. :
"У меня заключен международный контракт с издательством Warner Chappell. Я был в Корее, Японии, Лос Анджелесе, писал песни для артистов разных стран мира. У меня могут выходить песни в Финляндии, в Корее, в Японии или в Нэшвилле, и даже так, что я сам не буду знать об этом. Я просто пишу песни, а затем издатель заботится о том, где их выпустить"
Национальный отбор
Как обычно, песня, представляющая на конкурсе Евровидение Данию будет выбрана в рамках отбор "Dansk Melodi Grand Prix". DMGP 2014 пройдет 8го марта 2014 года в Arena Fyn в Оденсе. Финал национального отбора будет проведен в этом городе впервые за последние 21 год. Ведущими шоу выступят Луизе Вольфф и Якоб Риисинг.Прием заявок осуществлялся с 20 августа по 7 октября 2013 года, было получено рекордное количество в 872 заявки. Жюри выбрало 6 из них для участия в национальном финале, а еще 4 исполнителя были приглашены телекомпанией-организатором DR напрямую как вайлдкарды (WC).
17 февраля прошла пресс-конференция с участвующими артистами и были презентованы 30-секундные отрывки их конкурсных песен. Полные песни будут представлены на неделе перед финалом, 2 в день, на радиошоу Эндрю Йенсена P4 Play между 15.20 и 16.00 Москвы. Прослушать их можно здесь.
