Final of national Serbian preselection for Junior Eurovision 2009 has been set for 20th of September and it will be held in the studio 9 of Radio Television Serbia in Kosutnjak. Hosts of this prestigious music competition will be young hostess of RTS programs Kristina Radenkovic and actor Miki Damjanovic, known for his role of secret agent Izi.

- When I received the proposal to host this popular competition I had no second thoughts, but just immediately accepted this position. I love this project and enjoy communication with they younger audience, told Miki to Serbian press.

Evgeny Perlin reports: Junior Eurovision 2010 in Belarus! There is one year left for the main song contest in the world. It's still a lot of time, but lightning equipment, cameras and microphones are already being prepared. Here, on the main building yard of country, "Minsk-Arena" sportcomplex, "Eurovision kids" made workers singing and dancing. The building of "Minsk Arena", where the festival will take place, is still being finished. According to the script of the promo video kids will go directly to the building yard.

Sergey Rybakov, head of the special projects department at the Belarusian TV News Agency:
The main actors of the video are 12 children, who presented our country at the previous contests of the Junior Eurovision. Kseniya Sitnik even has learned to skate on rollers specially for this shooting.

Ksenia Sitnik, winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005: "The roll is being shot, "Minsk-Arena" is being constructed, we have holiday atmosphere. I am looking forward to this day."

The motto of the Junior Eurovision 2010 is "Feel the magic". Magic has been created by professional dancers, soloists of "Horoshki" ensemble picturing workers of "Minsk-Arena".

Alexander Nikita, director of state dance ensemble "Horoshki": "It is real magic for our country, when workers can feel themselves real dancers".

The shootings did not pass without accidents. During one of them, Andrey Kunets, participant of JESC 2006 has fallen down and bruised his hand. However, his pain will heal soon, but memories will stay for a long time. The premiere of the first roll will take place during the final of the national preselection contest "Song for Eurovision", televised by the First Channel live on September 10.

27/08 Delivering News First! Belgian broadcaster Een has held a press-launch of the Junior Eurosong 2009 project this afternoon at puppet theatre Pedrolino in Sint-Amandsberg, Ghent. Launch has been attended by participants of the show, host and coaches of the project. More details on the preselection scheme have been revealed.

All in all, Een has received 936 applications to take part in the show. Best of them were sent to the camp, where leading producers and songwriters were helping either to develop their own entries or have been creating new songs together with kids. After the camp 12 performers/bands have been selected to take part in the televised part of the show. They will be assisted by four music coaches - Niels Destadsbader, Kristien Maes, Sean D'Hondt, Sofie Van Moll.

Junior Eurosong 2009 will include four episodes, hosted by Ben Roelants. In the three semifinal episodes (Saturday 5, 12 and 19 of September) four of candidates will appear. This year each of the performers alongside with their music producers have prepared two versions of their song in different musical genres. The two versions will be performed one right after another during the preselection shows. Viewers will not only be able to select song that will qualify to the finals, but also it's version. The jury (Kathleen Aerts and Walter Grootaers) this year will have only role of advisers, the decision on qualifiers will belong solely to the televoting.

Two of the performers in each semifinal will proceed to the national final, set for Saturday, September 26th, where six entrant will fight for the ticket to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. This time only one version, voted in the previous round will be performed. The shows usually begin at 20.45, thus around 22.00 the vedict will be known.

Junior Eurosong 2009 будет состоять из четырех телешоу, которые проведет Бен Роелантс. В первых трех эпизодах - полуфиналах (5, 12, 19 сентября) выступят по 4 кандидата. В этом году каждый претендент вместе со своими музыкальными продюсерами подготовил по две версии своей песни в различных музыкальных стилях. Эти версии прозвучат друг за другом во время прямого эфира. Зрители же смогут теперь проголосовать не только за те песни, которые выйдут в финал, но и за лучшую версию. Жюри (Kathleen Aerts и Walter Grootaers) в этом году будет носить только совещательную роль, выбор финалистов будет принадлежать только телезрителям.

По два из участников каждого полуфинала выйдут в финал национального отбора, который назначен на субботу, 26 сентября, где 6 конкурсантов сразятся за право представить свою страну на Детском Евровидении 2009 в Киеве. На этот раз они исполнят только ту версию своей песни, которая набрала больше баллов во время полуфинальной стадии. Программа начнется в 20.45 местного времени, таким образом к 22.00 в этот день станет известно имя победителя.

"The fact that I have qualified to the final is one of the greatest achievements in my career. I have chosen song "Legend of Sanziene fairies" because I wanted to tell a story, based on Romanian traditions. Through participation in this contest I want to promote our traditions, customs and Romanian legends", says Georgiana Blagescu to Adevarul.

"I'm very much nervous, but as I want to fulfil my dream I have to control myself. We have been working very hard to prepare for the contest, I have written the song "The circus comes to the town" and together with my family we have staged the presentation and designed outfits. For the rehearsals I have to travel twice a week to the Bucharest. If I will succeed in the preselection, I will make sure to get the big trophy to Mioveni in November", promises Ion Moise Badulescu in interview to Courieru.

Ioana Anuta admits that to win national preselection one has to create a real show on stage. "In addition to singing classes, I have to spend hours on practicing choreography for the stage performance. I only hope that selection will be fair and I am able to win many supporters. I hope they like my song "The power in your hand" as much as I do myself", says singer to Adevarul.

"I'm very emotional, because it's my first participation in such a big contest", agrees with other contestants Evelyn Iulia Dicu. "It will be very difficult, we have to work a lot, but we're confident we can do a nice show. The competition will be tough, but I hope to rise to expectation", says performer of "Radio Live", adding that she spends now two hours per day for rehearsing with her dancers.

"I will sing a song "Story of a Child", written by myself with the orchestral arrangement made by Vicentiu Perniu from Al. Davila Theater. I prepare with Adina Sima and Constantin Nica and we do the choreography rehearsals in Bucharest. I hope everyone from our province will support me with their telephone votes. I want to represent Arges with honor in this competition why not, may be in the finals in Kiev as well. However, I also wish success to my colleague Ion Moses Badulescu, who will also take part in the contest", said Iulian Selea to Courieru.

Claudia Rusu, performer of "Just us" has informed Monitorul that Junior Eurovision 2007 entrant Bogdan Bidasca (4 Kids) and first reserve singer Viviana Sposub and other members of "Cheia Sol" children ensemble are expected to appear in her supporting band. She will present her song to the local public during the "Festivalul Verii" in Botosani.

Alina Paun, who already took part in preselection of last year finishing 3rd, will perform "Fight the emotions" in duet with Adina Chis. "It will be a mix between dance and music, because this year I not only sing but also dance step" said the little artist to Gazeta de Sud.

Gabriela Amzaru and other kids have also got publications in their support in Romanian press, asking inhabitants of their regions to support their fellow countrymen in the competition.

Please, pay attention to the fact that national preselection has been rescheduled for 19th of September and will be aired at 21.00 Romanian time.

"То, что я вышла в финал - это одно из самых больших достижений в моей карьере. Я выбрала песню "Легенда о Санзиенских феях", поскольку я хотела рассказать историю, основанную на румынских традициях. С помощью своего выступления на конкурсе я хочу показать наши традиции, обычаи и румынские легенды", рассказывает Георгиана Благеску.

"Я сильно нервничаю, но я должен держать себя в руках, чтобы моя мечта осуществилась. "Меня переполняют эмоции, потому что это мое первое участие в конкурсе такого уровня", соглашается с другими конкурсантами Эвелин Юлия Дику. "Будет очень сложно, нам предстоит много поработать, но мы уверены, что сможем показать хорошее шоу. Конкуренция очень большая, но я надеюсь, что смогу оправдать возложенные на меня ожидания", говорит исполнительница "Radio Live", добавляя, что репетирует со своими танцорами по два часа в день.

"Я исполню песню "История ребенка", которую написал я сам, а аранжировку приготовил Виченциу Перниу из театра Ал.Давила. Я готовлюсь вместе с Адиной Сима и Константином Ника и мы проводим наши репетиции в Бухаресте. Я надеюсь, что все жители моей области поддержат меня и пошлют СМС. Я хочу с честью представить Аргеш на этом конкурсе, и, почему бы и нет, возможно и в финале в Киеве. Но я также желаю успеха и своему другу Иону Бадулеску, который также принимает участие в конкурсе", говорит Юлиан Селеа.

Клаудия Русу, исполнительница песни "Только мы" рассказала о том, что участник Детского Евровидения 2007 Богдан Бидашка (4 Kids) и исполнительница из резервного списка Вивиана Спосуб и другие дети из ансамбля "Cheia Sol" примут участие в ее бэк-группе. Песня будет впервые представлена местной публике на фестивале "Festivalul Verii" в Ботошани.

Алина Паун, которая уже принимала участие в прошлогоднем отборе и заняла в нем 3е место исполнит песню "Борясь с эмоциями" в дуэте с Адиной Чиш. "Это будет смесь музыки и танца, потому что в этом году я буду не только петь, но и танцевать степ", рассказала юная певица.

Статьи в прессе были также посвящены и участию Габриелы Амзару и других конкурсантов, СМИ попросили жителей районов страны поддержать на конкурсе своих соотечественников.

Early today, ten participating artists have gathered in Minsk, where draw of the running order of the final took place. Later on, participants will demonstrate updated versions of their entries and stage performances to organizers of competition and will receive necessary advices from professionals and also filming of the postcards will take place. Yuri Demidovich has not been performing today, as he has recently suffered broken finger and appeared with plaster on his hand.

Among the participants of the show are winners of Zo is er maan een - De Cup program on Ketnet Pjotr Wolfs and Thomas Cerpentier, and runner-up of the 2nd season Manou Maerten as hinted by 12 points blog. Young star of "Annie" the musical and "Judah's passion" opera Haruka Sugihara is also confirmed for the preselection.

18/08 Delivering News First! Finalists of Dutch Junior Songfestival will give unique concert for UNICEF on September 30th. During this concert, that can be attended for free by those who join by 10th of September UNICEF project Kids United participants of preselection will perform own entries and joint UNICEF song "Morgen is vandaag". For third consecutive year Dutch Junior Songfestival will be run in cooperation with UNICEF and all call and SMS revenues will be donated to the fund. Concert will be presented by UNICEF special representative Sipke Jan Bousema and will take place in AVRO studio.

So far, neither EBU, nor NTU have made any announcements regarding cooperation of UNICEF and organizers of Junior Eurovision 2009 in Kyiv, however, we expect the details of this cooperation to be revealed shortly. Organizers of JESC 2010 in Belarus have already confirmed partnership with UNICEF to continue.

Also announced that AVRO Junior Songfestival reports will be aired weekly from Saturday, September 5th on Z@pp, Nederland 3, at 18:10 local time.

Финалисты голландского отбора Junior Songfestival дадут уникальный концерт для ЮНИСЕФ 30го сентября. Во время этого концерта, который смогут бесплатно посетить те, кто до 10го сентября присоединится к новой программе UNICEF Kids United, участники отбора исполнят свои песни и общую песню тематики ЮНИСЕФ "Morgen is vandaag". Уже третий год организаторы голландского Junior Songfestival проводят его в сотрудничестве с ЮНИСЕФ и вся прибыль от звонков и СМС передается в фонд. Ведущим концерта станет специальный представитель ЮНИСЕФ Сипке Ян Боусема.

Пока ни ЕВС, ни НТКУ не сделали каких-либо заявлений о том, каким будет сотрудничество ЮНИСЕФ с организаторами Детского Евровидения 2009 в Киеве, однако, ожидается, что эти детали будут оглашены в ближайшее время. Организаторы конкурса 2010 в Беларуси уже подтвердили, что партнерство с ЮНИСЕФ продолжится.

Также объявлено, что в эфире канала Nederland 3 еженедельно, начиная с 5го сентября в 18.10 местного времени, будут транслироваться дневники национального отбора.

18/08 Delivering News First! Though official presentation of the Belgian Junior Eurosong 2009 competition will take place only on August 27th, ESCKaz can now reveal the names of participants, the the titles of their entries and details of the official CD of competition that can be preordered now. As earlier suggested, VRT has attempted to select 12 participants, representing different styles of music. Though sсheme of preselection is not yet confirmed, it appears that each of participants have recorded their songs in two music styles, thus official double album of the competition, to be released on September 4th as mp3 download and on September 7th as CD version, will include 24 songs, their karaoke versions as well as joint theme song Een Echte Revelatie (A Real Revelation) in two versions and with karaoke, 52 tracks in total.

Update: the CD was available to prebook at MusicLoad and probably some other online stores, but now it has been temporarily taken off sales and today Belgian broadcaster has announced that the details have apparently leaked too early, though confirming them to be correct. "We regret this fact and invite everyone to pay attention to the extensive presentation of candidates during the official launch of the project", is stated in Een press-release.

Несмотря на то, что официальная презентация бельгийского отбора Junior Eurosong 2009 состоится только 27го августа, ESCKaz уже может назвать имена участников конкурса, названия их песен и детали официального диска отбора, который уже можно предварительно заказать. Как ранее сообщалось, VRT постарался отобрать 12 участников, представляющих различные стили музыки. Хотя схема отбора пока еще не подтверждена, похоже, что каждый из участников записал свою песню в двух различных музыкальных стилях. Таким образом, официальный двойной альбом конкурса, который выйдет в продажу 4го сентября как платные mp3 и 7го сентября на аудиодисках, будет включать в себя 24 песни, их караоке версии, а также общую тематическую песню Een Echte Revelatie (Настоящее открытие) в двух версиях и с караоке, всего 52 трека.

Executive producer of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Ruslan Tkachenko has informed mass-media on the following: "We want to tell you about the first very important stage of our work - defining the idea of outlook, design of Junior Eurovision 2009, its concept, those basic factors that will determine prime stage activities. In preparation for the Junior Eurovision 2009, we have identified the three main areas of work:

1. Activities of the week of Junior Eurovision 2009, that will take place from 16 to 21 November and will include the opening party (and other events in the official Euroclub), sightseeing and social programs, as well as major stage events program.
2 and 3 are a stage show, the concert event to be held on November 21 at the Sports Palace, as well as a great television show that will be offered via live broadcast to European viewers at 20.15 CET on that day.

What are the innovations that we can offer to the "Eurovision"? This is a very crucial issue for us, especially after a very strong organization in Moscow of Eurovision 2009. "Junior Eurovision" is "Eurovision" as well, despite the fact that this event is smaller in terms of scale and press coverage, however, it is still famous brand, the younger brother of the great brand. Accordingly, attention to this event will also be very big, not only in our country but also in the European community, especially in the countries taking part in the show.

How can we surprise a European audience, so that it would be clear that the event is taking place in Ukraine? We must provide them some information about Ukraine, about our culture. We came to the conclusion that we need to focus on emotions, because we are dealing with children and their emotions are pure and sincere. They are very easy to get pleased, surprised, but to get offended as well. We must give children positive emotions. And on the close shots, on the emotions and reactions of the viewing audience, we'll build the show. We have set this requirement to the production groups, that hall of the Palace of Sports should be an active participant of the concert and TV show.

Regarding the artistic concept, we have realized that in the year that has been named by UNESCO the year of Maria Prymachenko (famous Ukrainian painter, (1908–1997)), we can not leave behind this topic and not to use elements of art of Maria Prymachenko in our concept. She is sincere and very simple in her perception, and is entirely Ukrainian. We were unable to discover more quaint, bright, Ukrainian brand. Therefore, our creative concepts have been based on creativity of Maria Prymachenko.

While searching for a logo among the characters and elements of Maria Prymachenko, we put in front of us, above all, its semantic component. It should include first of all, not only design, but some idea. Idea that could be clear to children and the Europeans, who mostly are not familiar with Maria Prymachenko. In this logo should be included the social component and, possibly, environmental component, which is also very important for the European society. Among the works of Maria Prymachenko we have found the painting, which is called "Sunflower of life". It is based on the traditional notion of "Tree of Life", which reflects the understanding by our ancestors of the world system. And it is based on a pure Ukrainian cultural traditions. "Tree of life" can be found on the various national elements of Ukrainians - embroidery, national ornaments, a lot of fairytales and folk legends are based on it. Therefore, sub-logo of Junior Eurovision 2009 will be our "Derevo zhittya" ("Tree of life").

The main idea of our event, and all events that will be concentrated around the Junior Eurovision 2009 is to make people happy.
According to old tradition of Eurovision we have developed own design of the prize to be given to the winner of the contest - carousel with animals in style of Maria Prymachenko. It will be 35 cm high and will weight around 1.5 kilos. However, not only the winner will receive trophy, all participants of the contest will leave Kyiv with own little prize. It is very important for each kid to get own symbol, that will remind them of this event in the life or new friends and their own achievement for many years.

I stress that creative design is being executed by well-known in Ukraine and the world artist-animator Stepan Koval. He adapts elements of Maria Prymachenko and connects them with our competition.

Concept of the contest "For the joy of people".

Immemorial folk legends brought us ancient perceptions of how the Universe appeared from the virgin chaotic ocean. They tell us about the times when there were no skies, no land, but the cold blue sea. There was a tree towering over that sea.
Once upon a time a little flower showed up at the tree. The light came out from that bloom and poured over the endless water.
When the second flower opened at the tree a fascinating music started to sound from everywhere.
Once the light of the third flower lit up at the tree – the colors appeared.
It was then that the sea retreated, the skies showed up.
And people emerged, young and old.
And this miracle made them happy.
They started to sing and dance around the blossoming tree which gave them happiness.

Where a miracle is born?
The true miracle is always within you. A grain of universal love, love to the people, to large and beautiful world – this is what enables people to create wonders. Just where the love lives – in your heart – the biggest miracles of this world are born.
Plant a grain of happiness within your heart, let it grow and give people its fruits. Making people happy.

(There is no official motto of the contest this year. "For the joy of people" is title of series of works of Maria Prymachenko for which she has been awarded the State Award of Ukraine named after T.Shevchenko. It is also title of internal slogan of organizers of the contest, direction in preparation and organization of the event in Ukraine).

We have also used creative approach to the selection of hosts of Junior Eurovision 2009. Therefore, we declare the open search for the hosts with aim to find new faces that we do not often see on the screen, to "pour fresh blood" into Ukrainian television, make a fresh vision of new people.
Any interested person, who can speak fluent English and Ukrainian, be relaxed and cope with pressure, has stage experience, stage skills and plastics, is aged between 20 and 45 can apply by sending his CV and photo to NTU by the end of August. Candidates will be invited for live castings on 1st and 2nd of September. We will be selecting 4 hosts: two for television broadcast and two more for our innovation - online broadcast of backstage activities. I hope that by the 5-6th of September, we will define the hosts.

Исполнительный продюсер детского песенного конкурса Руслан Ткаченко рассказал: "Хотим отчитаться за первый очень важный этап нашей работы - определение внешнего вида Детского песенного конкурса "Евровидение-2009", его концепции, тех базовых факторов, которые определят первые сценические действа. При подготовке к "Детскому Евровидению-2009" мы определили в своей работе три главных направления:

1. Сопутствующие мероприятия недели "Детского Евровидения-2009", которые будут проходить с 16 по 21 ноября и будут включать в себя вечеринку открытия (и другие события в официальном Евроклубе), экскурсионные и социальные программы, а также основные мероприятия конкурсной программы.
2 и 3 пункта - это сценическое действо, то есть концертное событие, которое состоится 21 ноября во Дворце спорта, а также большое телевизионное шоу в прямом эфире.

Что нового мы можем представить? Это очень важный для нас вопрос, особенно после мощной организации московского "Евровидения". "Детское Евровидение" - это тоже "Евровидение" несмотря на то, что это событие меньшее по масштабам и информационной поддержке, но это известный бренд, младший брат главного бренда. Соответственно, внимание к этому событию будет тоже большим не только в нашей стране, но и в странах европейского сообщества, особенно в странах-участниках.

Чем мы можем удивить европейского зрителя, чтобы было понятно, что событие происходит именно в Украине? Надо донести определенную информацию об Украине, о нашей культуре. Мы пришли к выводу, что нужно ориентироваться на эмоции, ведь мы имеем дело с детьми и их эмоции по настоящему простые и искренние. Их очень легко завести, удивлять и одновременно легко обидеть. Мы должны получить от детей положительные эмоции. И именно на крупном плане, на эмоциях зала и реакции зрительской аудитории мы будем строить шоу. Мы ставим это в требованию режиссерским группам, чтобы зал во Дворце спорта был активным участником концертной программы и телевизионного шоу.

Относительно художественной концепции, то тут мы поняли, что в год, который назван ЮНЕСКО годом Марии Приймаченко (известной украинской художницы (1908–1997)), мы не можем не коснуться этой темы и не использовать элементы творчества Марии Приймаченко в своей концепции. Она искренняя и очень простая в своем восприятии, и ее творчество очень украинское. Более причудливого, яркого, украинского брэнда мы не нашли. Поэтому в основе нашей творческой концепции положено творчество Марии Приймаченко.

Когда мы искали логотип среди персонажей и элементов Марии Приймаченко, мы ставили перед собой, прежде всего, его содержательную составляющую. Он должен нести в первую очередь, не только дизайнерское решение, но и какую-то идею. Идею понятную детям и европейцам, которые обычно не знакомы с Марией Приймаченко. В этот логотип должна была быть заложена и социальная составляющая и, возможно, экологическая составляющая, которая тоже очень важна для европейского сообщества. Среди работ Марии Приймаченко мы нашли работу, которая называется "Подсолнух жизни". Она базируется на традиционном понятии "Дерево жизни", которое отражает понимание наших предков построения мира. И здесь заложено очень много исключительно украинской культурной традиции. "Дерево жизни" можно найти на различных национальных элементах украинцев - вышиванках, национальных орнаментах, с этим связано много историй и народных легенд. Поэтому, национальным логотипом "Детского Евровидения -2009" стало наше "Дерево життя" ("Дерево жизни").

Главная идея нашего мероприятия, всех событий которые будут происходить вокруг Детского песенного конкурса "Евровидение- 2009" - делать людей счастливыми.
По давней традиции "Евровидения" мы разработали макет главного приза для победителя - карусель с животными в стиле Марии Приймаченко. Он будет 35 см в высоту, и будет весить приблизительно полтора килограмма. Однако, не только победитель поедет из Киева с трофеями - каждый участник конкурса получит свой маленький приз. Для каждого ребенка очень важно получить символ, который будет напоминать им об этом выдающеймся событии в жизни, о новых друзьях долгие годы.

Хочу подчеркнуть, что креативный дизайн выполняется известным в Украине и мире художником-аниматором Степаном Коваль. Именно он адаптирует элементы Марии Приймаченко и связывает их с нашим конкурсом.

Концепция конкурса "Людям на радость".

Древнейшие народные легенды донесли до нас древние представления о том, как из первоначального хаотического океана появился свет. В них говорится о временах, когда не было еще ни неба, ни земли, а было только синее холодное море. На том море стояло дерево.
Однажды на дереве появился маленький цветок. С того цветка появился свет и разлился над бесконечными водами.
Когда на дереве распустился второй цветок - отовсюду зазвучала волшебная музыка.
А когда засветился на дереве огонек третьего цветка - появился цвет.
И отступило море, и показалось небо.
И вышли на землю люди, взрослые и маленькие.
И стали они радоваться этому диву.
Стали петь и танцевать вокруг цветущего дерева, которое подарило им счастья.

Где рождается чудо?

Мы подошли творчески и к отбору ведущих «Детского Евровидения-2009». Поэтому мы объявляем конкурс ведущих, цель которого - найти новые лица, которые мы не так часто видим на экране, влить свежую кровь в украинское телевидение, внести свежее видение новых людей. Каждый заинтересованный человек, свободно владеющий английским и украинским языком, открытый, способный справиться с давлением, имеет сценический опыт, сценические навыки и пластику, в возрасте от 20 до 45 лет может отправить свое фото и резюме в НТКУ до конца августа. Кандидаты будут приглашены на кастинг 1-2 сентября. Мы будем отбирать четверых ведущих: двух для традиционной трансляции выступлений конкурсантов и двух для нашего нововведения - онлайн-трансляции конкурсного закулисья. Надеюсь, что уже к 5-6 сентября мы определимся с ведущими.

16/07 Delivering News First! Romanian singer Maria has won Grand-Prix of children's section of Slavyanski Bazar contest in Vitebsk, Belarus. Here you can watch her performing cover version of Romanian JESC 2004 entry Iti multumesc.

Ukrainian JESC 2009 entrant Andranik Alexanyan has been awarded First Prize of the contest. Here you can watch him performing traditional song "Chornobrivtsy" and here song of Olexander Ponomaryov "Varto chi ni".

Russian JESC 2009 preselection entrant Alexey Tsvetkov, 2008 entrant Olesya Polischuk, Serbian 2009 preselection entrant Stasha also took part in the competition. Band "Street Magic" (vocalists Vlad Krutskih, Mikhail Puntov and others) have performed several songs as guests of the festival and you can find videos on Youtube. Belarus JESC entrants Kseniya Sitnik and Andrey Kunets, as well as Ukrainian national finals entrant Dmitry Borodin hosted the show and performed as guests as well.

Победитель отбора был определен совместным решением зрителей и жюри. Аревик, Моника Манучарова и ряд взрослых звезд Армении выступили в качестве гостей отбора.

Мальтийская певица Марилена Гаучи победила на музыкальном фестивале, прошедшем в Египетской Александрии. На нем она исполнила свой хит с Malta Hit Song Contest 2009 "Unforgettable”, написанный Джерардом Джеймсом Боргом и Филиппом Велла.

Марилена известна поклонникам Детского Евровидения как участница группы Young Talent Team, представлявшей свою страну в 2004 году. Песни Борга и Веллы представляли свои страны на Евровидении 2000, 2002, 2004, 2007 и 2008.

В Египте Марилене пришлось столкнуться с соперничеством со стороны 41 конкурсанта, но в конце-концов жюри разделило первый приз между Мариленой и иорданским исполнителем Яхья Соис. Конкурс прошел 10го июля 2009 года.

Александрийский музыкальный конкурс проводится уже в 7й раз под патронажем министерства культуры, министерства туризма и губернатора Александрии.

Update: No national final in Sweden. According to the latest statement of TV4 "A jury panel of Warner Music and TV4 with Bert Karlsson as chairman to appoint directly the singer who will represent Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009". However, according to JESC rules "To select its contestant, each participating broadcaster shall organize a televized national selection" though exception to this rule may be granted by Steering group of the contest.

ESCKaz has approached TV4 to clarify whether such an exception has been given to the returning country. "We are aware of the rules and are of course in contact with EBU and Mr Stockselius, so that everything is carried on according to the regulations", assured us executive producer of TV4 Niklas Vestberg.

"I want to find a naughty girl, someone who can sing, dance and do even more things on stage. A young version of Carola, perhaps", says famous Swedish manager and chairman of jury Bert Karlsson. He invites guys to apply to the preselection too, but states that girls have much more chances to succeed at the contest. According to him, "Junior Eurovision is a good starting point to the career and it may lead further. Peter Joback, Linda Bengtzing, Lotta Engberg and Carola started their careers in a very early age".

Mr.Karlsson thinks Sweden has chances to win the competition this year: "They have changed the rules this year so that we may take help of professional songwriters, so we should put together a good team"

Согласно последнему заявлению телекомпании TV4: "Жюри, в которое войдут представители Warner Music и TV4, председателем которого станет Берт Карлссон, напрямую назначит представителя Швеции на Детском Евровидении 2009". Однако, согласно правилам конкурса, "Для выбора представителя каждый участвующий телеканал обязан организовать телевизионный национальный отбор". Исключения к этому правилу может сделать оргкомитет конкурса.

ESCKaz обратился к телеканалу TV4 за объяснением, было ли действительно подобное разрешение дано возвращающейся стране. "Мы знакомы с этим правилом и, конечно же, находимся в постоянном контакте с ЕВС и г-ном Стокселиусом, дабы все проходило в соответствии с требованиями конкурса", заверил нас исполнительный продюсер телеканала TV4 Никлас Вестберг.

"Я хочу найти нахальную девочку, которая могла бы петь, танцевать и могла бы делать еще кое-что на сцене. Эдакую молодую версию Каролы", говорит известный шведский музыкальный продюсер, председатель жюри Берт Карлссон. Он приглашает мальчиков также подавать заявки, но говорит о том, что у девочек намного больше шансы добиться успеха на конкурсе. По его мнению "Детское Евровидение дает хороший старт карьере и может помочь в дальнейшем. Peter Joback, Linda Bengtzing, Lotta Engberg и Carola, они все начали карьеру в раннем возрасте".

Карлссон считает, что у Швеции в этом году есть шансы одержать победу на конкурсе. "В этом году поменялись правила и мы можем пригласить к сотрудничеству профессиональных авторов, поэтому, я уверен, что нам удастся собрать хорошую команду".

Update: Dutch broadcaster AVRO has announced the draw of semifinals of Junior Songfestival. First semifinal on September 19th will feature Bram, Eva N, Isaura, Raigny and Cheyenne & Mayleen. Second semifinal on September 26th will include performances of Anne, Arletta, Eva L, Ralf and Carlijn & Merle. National final is scheduled for October 3rd.
Currently, the final touches to the songs are being done and from the beginning of September compilation cd will be available in stores.

28/06 Delivering News First! "Morgen is vandaag" (Tomorrow is today) is the title of the song that is recorded by finalists of Junior Songfestival and will be released on a official compilation CD. The social song, written by Tjeerd van Zanen and Stephan Geusebroek is devoted to making the better world. Recording of the song took place today and you can watch sample video here.
Music video for this song is currently in the making and will be broadcasted on Z@pp starting end of August.

Also, few days ago official photoshoot of Dutch finalists took place. Photos will be made available shortly through official AVRO website, while currently you can watch a video from shooting session featuring also UNICEF ambassador Sipke Jan Bousema.

Kaj Melsen and Micha de Groot, two 15 years old DJs host weekly radio reports on the progress of preparations to Junior Songrestival. The reports are available to listen online between 19.00 and 21.00 every Wednesday or as downloadable archive podcasts.

25/06 Delivering News First! Head of Ukrainian delegation at Eurovision Contests Victoria Romanova: "Steering Group of Junior Eurovision Song Contest is satisfied with NTU course of preparations for the organization of competition".

Preparations for the JESC 2009 which will be held November 21 in Ukrainian capital Kyiv are in full swing. To monitor the process on June 4-6th Steering Group of Junior Eurovision has visited Kyiv. Speaking to the press-service of broadcaster, head of Ukrainian delegation at Eurovision contests and head of EBU Coordination Unit of NTU Victoria Romanova has assured that production of the show will be done on the highest possible level.

"In general supervisory board remained satisfied with the progress of our preparations for the contest. Of course, as always, there are some observations and comments, but it is absolutely normal. This is the work of the Steering Group - not only to observe, but also to comment, to propose specific demands to make sure that general level of event is kept on a high level, and possibly grow from year to year", explained Victoria. "Members of Steering Group have left Kyiv with positive impressions. A team that is currently working on preparations for the competition will make every effort to ensure that during next visit high guests will be impressed with our preparations".

"At this stage, much attention was paid to the general concept of competition: the main ideas, the vision of the NTU of the future of competition. Because we are dealing with events, where the participants are children, we want to create a special atmosphere both for the participating kids, as well as delegations, media and guests who will be arriving for the Euroweek to Kyiv as well as to TV viewers, who will be watching the competition all accross Europe. Executive producer of the contest Ruslan Tkachenko has presented the first models of stage and we were able to discuss this matter with members of the Steering Group. Also we have discussed future postcards of the show. We've also discussed the social dimension of the contest - cooperation with international organizations and institutions of social directed activities. As part of discussions on a common vision of the competition we have expressed some ideas about the opening act of the show, interval act, and performance of of specially-invited guest", tells Victoria, however hinting that it is too early to publicly announce additional details on the show scheme.

"As usual, one of the elements of presentation of NTU was schedule of Euroweek. Children, of course, come to compete, they have lots of rehearsals, but at the same time they need time for recreation, leisure and communication between them. Indeed, one of the main tasks of the contest is not only to determine the winner, but also to promote friendship among young artists to exchange cultural ties between the participating countries. We want to build social and entertainment component so that it is cognitive, that during his stay in Kiev, children and adults benefited from knowledge about Ukraine, its history, our traditions and culture. However, to not overload the participants and guests of the contest, we surely will add in the social program entertainment elements", she added.

23/06 Delivering News First! Cypriot broadcaster RIK has faced serious financial problems, connected with hosting of Junior Eurovision 2008, report local Cypriot newspapers Politis and Phileleftoros.

According to the annual financing report, issued by Auditor General Chrystallas Giorkatzi, due to the contract issues RIK may face loosing considerable part of revenue from ticket sales for the contest. Company, responsible for ticket sales, still owns national broadcaster a sum close to 50 thousand Euros and it is unclear, whether it will be funded.

Several more problems with ticket sales have appeared as well. Original seating plan had to be modified, thus removing complete rows, for which tickets have been originally sold. For the final, ticket company has refused to issue invitations for the guests of the contest forcing RIK to issue own ones for the seats that have been already occupied by ticket holders, which brought number of protests from the members of public. Some problems with credit card charges during internet sales have been discovered as well.

Audition report has also shown problems within contracts with companies, responsible for design and constructure of the stage for the contest. Due to the lack of time, broadcaster has failed to conduct tenders to determine the partner companies, and as the result of it, cost of stage construction has been considered as very high, topping 100 thousand Euros, while Auditor has noted that with tender procedure the cost may have been considerably lowered.

Numerous irregularities with tender procedures as well as problems with ticket sales have been found common during conduction of Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv, which has resulted in lawsuits against national broadcaster. With NTU still facing serious financial difficulties, the situation with funding of Junior Eurovision 2009 remains unclear, as it was also noted at the press-conference held earlier today. Last year, Ukrainian broadcaster managed to cover costs of participation in the JESC 2008 only with financing from state reserve fund, from which around 3 mln hryvnas (400 thousand Euros) have been spent.

Согласно ежегодному финансовому отчету, выполненному независимым аудитором, из-за недочетов в юридической работе и заключенных контрактах, телекомпания может недосчитаться в собственном бюджете до 50 тысяч евро прибыли от продажи билетов на шоу, что составляет примерно 1/3 от вырученных на этом средств. На данный момент неизвестно, будет ли эта сумма компенсирована независимой компанией, отвечавшей за продажу билетов или нет.

Отмечены и другие серьезные проблемы, связанные с билетами на конкурс. Так, первоначальный план зала подвергся модификациям, в связи с чем часть рядов, на которые уже продавались билеты, просто была удалена. Компания, занимающаяся продажей билетов, отказалась выписать организаторам концерта пригласительные на финал конкурса, в связи с чем пригласительные были выписаны самой телекомпанией, зачастую на те места, на которые уже были проданы билеты, что привело к многочисленным жалобам со стороны посетителей конкурса. Также были замечены и проблемы, связанные с оплатой билетов по кредитным картам по интернету.

Отчет аудитора также зафиксировал проблемы с контрактами с компаниями, отвечавшими за дизайн и сборку конкурсной сцены. Из-за недостатка времени, организаторы не смогли провести тендеры по этому вопросу, таким образом, по мнению аудиторов, расходы на сцену составили весьма завышенную сумму в 100 тысяч евро, часть из которых можно было бы избежать.

Многочисленные проблемы с продажей билетов и тендерами на работы по организации конкурса отмечались и во время взрослого Евровидения 2005 в Киеве. Поскольку в настоящее время Национальная телекомпания Украины по-прежнему находится в сложной финансовой ситуации, вопрос с финансированием Детского конкурса 2009 остается открытым, что и было отмечено на прошедшей сегодня пресс-конференции. Так, в прошлом году, расходы на участие Украины в Детском Евровидении удалось компенсировать лишь только с помощью средств из государственного резервного фонда, из которого было выделено 3 млн гривен (400 тыс евро).

"All the participants wanted to win at the contest, but judging by all of their behavior, it was clear that more than himself, each of them also was supporting Andranik. Just as was the entire camp " Artek", everyone was supported, but when it was coming to Andranik, the exclamations have been surpassing all possible limits that can be imagined! Regarding competition between the children - we've managed to create a remarkably friendly atmosphere. There was no resentment, and no complaints. Oleksandr Chernenko, ranked first by the televoting and second overall, was happy with the success of Andranik, as for his own. For two weeks before the competition, and more than a week after it, Chernenko constantly was spending time with Andranik, even taking him on his hands. More than that, he is one of the back vocalists in the song of Andranik, "explained E. Zagorodnyuk.

National Television of Ukraine decided to announce a competition to create music video for the song of Andranik to be prepared within the next two months, as announced by President of NTU Vasil Ilaschuk. From September 1, the clip is scheduled to be launched into the rotation. It is possible that in video Andranik will appear as fairytale hero Kotigoroshko.

Executive producer of JESC 2009 Ruslan Tkachenko urged everyone to unite around wonderful boy in November, when he will represent Ukraine at a big international event. "Junior Eurovision" is one of the main projects of First National Channel. And most important is to unite children in a large family, so no one will be leaving Ukraine disappointed", told Tkachenko.

Despite the press conference was devoted to the Ukrainian representative at the contest, ESCKaz managed to ask some questions regarding the organization of international event. According to NTU President V. Ilaschuk: "The financial problems associated with organization of the competition have not been fully resolved yet, the required sum is not yet specified. We are looking for different ways of funding. This will be own funds of the broadcaster and help from sponsors and the State. As per today, 13 countries have confirmed their participation in the event. But we're not looking for the numbers. We'll just try to make a colorful spectacle, not worse than the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2005 that was also held in Kiev. How many people will arrive for the show, will be seen later".

Пресс-конференция началась вручением президентом Национальной телекомпании Украины Василий Илащук диплома Андранику Алексаняну за победу в Национальном отборе. Счастливый победитель поблагодарил команду, которая работала с конкурсантами в течении проведения Национального отбора. Как отметил сам Андраник, он очень устал за время репетиций и финального концерта и первые два дня не мог поверить в свою победу. Также новая звезда Украины пообещал присутствующим обязательно победить и на международном конкурсе.

"Все участники конкурса хотели победить, но по всему их поведению было видно, что еще больше каждый из них переживал за Андраника. Так же, как и весь лагерь «Артек», поддерживал всех, но когда дело доходило до Андраника, то возгласы превосходили все возможные пределы, которые можно себе представить! По поводу конкуренции между детьми - на конкурсе сложилась удивительно дружелюбная атмосфера. Не было никаких обид, а тем более, - жалоб. Александр Черненко, занявший первое место по результатам голосования телезрителей и второе – по суммарному мнению зрителей и жюри, радовался успеху Андраника, как своему собственному. И две недели до конкурса, и вот уже более недели после него, Черненко постоянно возился с Андраником, вплоть до того, что носил его на руках. Более того, он является одним из бэк-вокалистов в песне Андраника", рассказала Е.Загороднюк.

Национальная телекомпания Украины решила объявить конкурс на создание видеоклипа на песню Андраника, который должен быть подготовленным в ближайшие два месяца, об этом сообщил президент НТКУ Василий Илащук. С 1 сентября клип планируется быть запущен в ротацию. Предполагается, что в клипе Андраник появится в виде сказочного героя Котигорошко.

Исполнительный продюсер Детского Евровидения 2009 Руслан Ткаченко призвал всех объединиться вокруг замечательного мальчика, который в ноябре будет представлять Украину на крупном международном мероприятии. "Детское Евровидение" - один из главных проектов Первого Национального. И самое важное - сплотить детей в большую семью, чтобы никто не уехал из Украины обиженным и побежденным", отметил Ткаченко.

Несмотря на то, что пресс-конференция была посвящена представителю Украины на конкурсе, корреспонденту ESCKaz удалось поинтересоваться о некоторых вопросах организации и международного мероприятия. Как сообщил президент НТУ В.Илащук: "Финансовые проблемы, связанные с организацией конкурса, пока решены далеко не полностью, требуемая сумма пока уточняется. Мы ищем разные возможные пути финансирования. Это будут сбережения компании, к этому подключатся и спонсоры, и государство. На сегодняшний день заявки на участие в конкурсе поступили от 13 стран. Мы не гонимся за количеством. Мы просто постараемся сделать красочное зрелище, не уступающее финалу ЕВ-2005, тоже проходившего в Киеве. А сколько приедет людей, будет видно позже".
