| Laura Omloop, born 18/05/1999 in
Berlaar will represent Belgium with Yodel version of her song "Zo verliefd" (So
in love). Laura was the youngest participant in the Junior Eurosong show and also will be the same in Junior Eurovision. She lives with her mother Marie-Anne, father Serge, two older brothers, three older sisters and two dogs, but Laura is the only one with music talent there. Laura brings the sunshine to the house: she sings from the moment she opens her eyes in the morning until she goes to sleep at night, spending big part of the day with her favourite Playstation Sing It But Laura's voice is not hidden from outside world as well, she usually performs on free concerts and charity events in her neighborhood. Despite being just 10 Laura already has boyfriend Brent, thus her song is devoted to the wonderful feeling of love: when your heart jumps, sun shines every day and a rainbow is around every corner. Laura's Junior Eurosong coach is broadcaster's JESC commentator Kristien Maes, while producers of her entry are Miguel Wiels and Peter Gillis (K3). "A flawless voice with such a passion. Whatever she sigs, a ballad or a country song, or a pop tune, she always impresses with her boundless musical talent. She is certainly part of musical future of Flanders!", says Peter. "I was especially nervous performing the Yodeling version. It is also a bit difficult to sing in front of so many people", admitted Laura. She compares her entry to the one of Thor! "Both our songs stuck in the head after listening, they had something very memorable." Yodeling is a form of singing that involves singing an
extended note which rapidly and repeatedly changes in pitch from the vocal or chest
register (or "chest voice") to the falsetto/head register; making a
high-low-high-low sound. Yodel in it's pure form has been developed in Swiss and Austrian
Alps, however, similar vocal technique is used in many cultures throughout the world -
"tahrir" in Persian and Azeri classical music, "krimanchuli" in
Georgian traditional music etc.
Few can yodel as well as Laura, have admitted yodel experts
(watch video).
"Yodelling takes much practice, but you still must have natural talent for it, and
Laura proves that she can yodel", says Bobbejaan Schoepen (Eurovision 1957, Belgium).
"Laura is a huge talent! The difficulty of the yodel is in the rate of change between
head and chest voice. It is certainly not easy", adds David Davidse. "We must
not forget, that besides yodelling she can also sing nicely, Laura has a strong and
beautiful voice, and yodel is just the bonus that can distinguish her from other
participants", says Eva De Roover to mediawatchers. However, professionals advice
that it may be harmful for children to be taught yodelling in such a young age, as it
might put too much pressure on vocal chords, unless they have nature-given talent.
"If you're not careful, you сan lose your voice after a few years," warns Peter

Miguel Wiels has been a renowned artist/producer in Belgium for almost twenty years. His career took off in 1990, with the release of his own album A Dream of No Return. Since then, Miguel has written, composed and produced hit records for numerous top Belgian artists, including Yasmine, Isabelle A and Eurovision Song Contest legends Nicole & Hugo. Miguel is also one of the musical brains behind K3: by far the most successful child-oriented act in Belgium and the Netherlands for more than ten years. So far K3 have sold more than four million CD's. Their huge success has led to them being ‘cloned’ into German and South African versions. Miguel is also known for his numerous TV appearances, as the bandleader in several music-based TV formats. Peter Gillis is also a veteran when it comes to producing and composing music. He is responsible for a long list of Belgian hits and has worked together with our nation’s biggest acts: The Dinky Toys and Pop in Wonderland, for instance. He and Miguel Wiels have coproduced all of K3’s hit singles and albums. His contribution to Laura’s So In Love is his second collaboration on a Belgian Junior Eurovision Song Contest entry: Peter also produced the 2006 Belgian entry, ‘Een tocht door het donker’, which was sung by Thor. Alain Vande Putte co-wrote the lyrics of Laura’s song. He has an impressive list of Belgian hits to his name, including numbers by Gene Thomas, The Dinky Toys and Sha-na. He is also the third musical brain behind the mega-successful K3. |

Я не знаю, кто был исполнитель, но когда я услышала песню, то заметила, что в ней есть что-то необычное и я захотела этому научится. Это очень интересно, когда ты умеешь что-то, чего не умеют другие. Это и было основной причиной, почему я стала петь йодлем. И сейчас это помогло мне выделиться на Junior Eurosong. Сейчас в моей школе все пытаются петь йодлем", говорит Лаура. "Я не ожидала победы, но сейчас я супер счастлива. Время праздновать и веселиться! А потом надо будет опять репетировать и брать уроки пения. Я уже слышала несколько песен из других стран, участвующих в конкурсе и они мне понравились". Лишь немногие могут петь йодлем так, как Лаура, признают эксперты стиля (смотрите видео). | - Hello, Laura, and first of all our congratulations for
winning Belgian national selection! What were your first thoughts when you realized you
are the winner of the competition? - It was a mix of emotions. I felt like it couldn’t be true that I was the winner, but at the same time I knew that it was really happening. Really strange. But I was oh so glad! A moment I will never forget… - Please introduce yourself in one sentence? - I am Laura, I’m 10 years old, I’m from Berlaar in Belgium and I am a cheerful girl that loves to sing and to yodel. - Can you tell us about the story of the song creation? Is it based on real life story? - Yes, it’s based on my personal life. I was in love with a boy who’s at my school and I thought: maybe I could write a song about that! So I started writing the lyrics and than I sat together with Miguel Wiels, who helped me with the lyrics and the music. I think after three weeks the song was ready for recording in the studio, together with producers Peter Gillis and Miguel Wiels. And for those who really want to know: the boy I fell in love with is still my boyfriend… - Is it true that you have learned yodeling from browsing Youtube? Did you take any professional lessons of it? - Yes, I found a video of the song ‘This is how to yodel,’ sung by Taylor Ware. I took me like two weeks to learn it, but I never took any professional lessons. - Who is your vocal coach and choreographer of your entry? - Daniel Climan is my vocal coach and Bart Van Oost is my choreographer. They are the best! It’s really fun to work with them, they do a great job and they teach me everything I need to know. I am their biggest fan! - How will you visually present your entry on stage? Will it be similar performance as during Belgian national final, or is there plan to add any visual effects for the international audience to understand better your song? - There won’t be many changes. The song and the lyrics stay the same, I will perform with the same dancers. We’ll make some slight changes in the outfits and the choreography, but nothing extreme. I just hope we’ll be able to use my swing, decorated with flowers, on stage in Kiev… - Can you also introduce the dancers and band, who accompanied you? - Of course. I have two male dancers, Glenn and Jaro, and two female dancers, Taisha and Liandra. Liandra is 10 years old, just like me, the others are 11 years old. I didn’t know them before the Belgian selections, but we’ve become really good friends. We see each other quite often, and when we do, we always laugh a lot.. - What is your plan of preparations for the contest? - The past weeks I have been practising on singing and dancing. I have a few small gigs, our national broadcaster organised a press conference last week (in the snow!) and that’s about it. The rest of time I go to school and enjoy myself. Oh, and go shopping; now with the contest I have a good excuse to buy lots of new clothes, haha! - Can you tell us, how looks your basic day? What activities do you usually have? - I get up between 6h30 and 7h00 and I start singing when I’m in the shower. I eat breakfast and leave for school, by bike. When school’s out, I go to my dance lessons or just play with my friends, do my homework, play with my two dogs,… Just the same as everybody of my age. - Is it difficult to combine contest preparation with studies in school? - No, not really. I am actually quite a good student, I guess. I didn’t have to miss any classes so far, so that’s good. For the Junior Eurovision Song Contest I’ll have to skip classes during one week, but I made a deal with my teacher that when I get back, I’ll stay one extra hour per day at school every day. For a week or two, not more! - What are your favourite school subjects? - Sometimes I like maths, but not all the time. I really prefer physical education. Then I don’t have to be too focused. And you know, I just want to move! - Have you met any previous Belgian JESC entrants? Any advices they gave to you? - I met almost all of them: Thor (2006), Trust (2007) and Oliver (2008). Oliver handed me my trophy when I won the Belgian selections, plus he’s going the announce the Belgian votes. And Thor came to watch some of our rehearsals, just to see how we were doing. And they all gave me the same advice: don’t be too nervous, do as you always do and have fun! - Do you have some favourite entries from the past year of the JESC competition? - Oliver of course! And the little bees from Georgia! They were really cute. - Are you interested to find who will represent other countries in the contest, will you listen to the other competing entries prior to departure to Kyiv? - I already watched most of them on YouTube. I like all of them! The Netherlands have a really nice song, with the tap dancing in it. - What is your aim for the competition? Are you going to win it, or simply have good time and make new friends? - I just want to have as much fun as possible. Make a lot a friends and learn a lot. I don’t plan to win, but off course I will do the best I can. Like I always do. - You’re already considered as favourite according to pre-contest polls. Are you nervous because of that? How do you usually cope with nerves performing on such big events? - That’s nice to hear, I’m flattered. Like I said: I’ll do my very best on stage. That’s what everybody expects of me. I am very thankful for this opportunity and I’ll try to give my best performance ever. And all the rest is not in my hands. So I just wait and see… - What was your biggest music achievement so far, besides winning JESC preselection? - I am not very experienced as a singer. I performed at some small local singing contests in my hometown, for an audience of, I don’t know, between 50 and 100 persons. What I liked most until know, is the way I was received at school after my Belgian victory. The entire school was decorated, there was a red carpet and a throne for me, I got presents from my class mates and then there was a big party for the whole school, with candies! I enjoyed it so much! - Do you like contests and to compete in general? - Yes, I do like contests. Mostly when there a famous singer in the jury, because I think they give really good advice. And I don’t mind if I don’t win: the other contestants usually become friends and so I am also happy for them if one of them wins. But actually I don’t do many contests. I am happy when I sing, so for me it doesn’t really matter if that’s on a big stage or in my bedroom. - Are you performing many original songs, what is your regular repertoire is made of? - I sing a lot of songs, all with my Sing Star karaoke. But my most favourite songs are The Rose by Bette Midler, What’s Up by 4 Non Blondes, The Greatest Love Of All by Withney Houston, Have You Ever Been In Love by Celine Dion,… - What music do you typically like listening to? What are your favourite local and international singers? - I am a big big fan of Michael Jackson. But I also like Celine Dion, Kat DeLuna, Wet Wet Wet, Belgian singer Free Souffriau,… - What are your plans after the contest? Do you want to become professional singer in future? - My plans? Ehm… Go to school. ? I don’t really know, I guess just keep on doing what I’ve always been doing. After Laura has admitted that her song "So in love" was an homage to her
boyfriend Brent, it was clear that local press will try to find a boy, who was an
inspiration to Belgian JESC entry, reports Eurosong.be It took some time, but last weekend
the Concentra holding newspapers has published an article in which Brent Boni from Berlaar
tells how proud he is of Laura and her song. He even will be coming to Kiev on November 20
to support Laura in the Arena. "I can not really sing and yodel like Laura" boy admits. And he wouldn't become the football player, as the song suggests, as well. "Last year I stopped playing football because I was no longer interested in it" tells 11 years old. |

 03/11 Today, Belgian broadcaster has conducted
farewell press-conference for Laura at the indoor ski-resourt Snow Valley in Peer.
Newspapers, broadcasters and magazines were there to wish best to Laura and hear about her
latest preparations.Minus 2 degrees and snow,
this is the weather expected in Kiev and to try it out Belgian team has opted for a such
an unusual place for the press-conference. Laura admitted that she has researched many
things about Kiev. "And I've bought a book to study some language. So I already know
that "da" means yes and "nyet" no". Composer Miguel Wiels admitted that he would like to continue working with Junior Eurosong candidates in future, but due to other obligations will not be able to go to Kiev. He promised to watch the contest live on TV though. You can check interview with Miguel here (in Dutch).
Ben Roelants and Kristien Maes will again provide Belgian
commentary from Junior Eurovision in Kiev. Ben has been presenter of Junior Eurosong
preselection for last three years, while Kristien Maes, his usual commentating partner,
this year found herself in the new role of Juniors coach, and Laura was among the kids she
worked with. It has also been revealed that Belgian spokesperson for JESC 2009 will be last year's representative Oliver. Лаура призналась, что изучает информацию о Киеве. "Я даже купила разговорник, чтобы выучить некоторые фразы. Уже могу сказать "да" и "нет"". Лаура рассказала, что продолжает свои репетиции перед Евровидением в Киеве. Как говорит ее хореограф, самое сложное для певицы, это: "Быть красивой и красиво улыбаться, это нелегко, но это очень важно!". "Я должна думать о пении, дыхании, йодле и танцевальных движениях. Детского Евровидения в Киеве. Бен был ведущим
национальных отборов Junior Eurosong в течении
последних трех лет, а Кристин Маес, его обычная
партнерша по комментаторской будке, в этом году
появилась на отборе в новой роли. Она была

Belgian entrant Laura is getting prepared for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She’s
taking singing classes and choreography lessons on a weekly base. Together with her
dancers she has a great lot of fun and they will give a stunning performance for sure. Recently a new website on Laura was based. The url is www.yodelo.be . It’s full of interesting video’s: Laura performing, interviews with the young artist, exclusive backstage images… Biography, lyrics and news items can also be found on the site, in Dutch as well as in English. From November 15 to 22 day Laura will keep a video diary. In it she always looks back on the experiences of the day and you will receive an exclusive look behind the scenes. This week Laura's song is back in top 10 of Flemish national chart Ultratop. Meanwhile, the compilation album of Junior Eurosong 2009 has reached platinum status of 20,000 copies sold. Yesterday afternoon Laura for the first time met her school friends since her victory in
the final of Junior Eurosong, as in the morning Laura was still busy with different kind
of interviews.
All children from the municipal school of Berlaar-Heikant went outside, waving Belgian
flags and singing together "Zo verliefd". Large posters were made with Laura's
name wishing her a great success in Kiev. Laura has been given presents from school
director (Me To You Bear) and mayor of the town (a mirror with symbol of the town of
Berlaar). Her classmates gave her bracelets and had made a colorful cushion for her chair.
After a reception, Laura was taken away to the playground where all tables were full of

Belgian Eurovision website eurosong.be has published interview with
Junior Eurovision reference group chairman Steve De Coninck - De Boeck. Journalists have
asked him a question, whether it is appropriate to host Junior Eurovision in Belarus in
2010, which is still widely considered to be "the last dictatorship in Europe". The response from EBU Reference group chairmain was strong: "Belarus is a country like all others. It is part of EBU. If it wins adult contest, it will also host it. Eurovision has nothing to do with politics". Mr. De Conick - De Boeck dismissed the potential figure of 20 countries in JESC 2010, earlier declared as a task to reach by Belarus broadcaster BTRC, but pointed out that Belarus is indeed hardworking to persuade countries to participate. "It is difficult in times of financial crisis, advertising revenue is declining for many public broadcasters. But Belarus organizers are even eager to take part of the travel expenses of other delegations on their account". However, this was not the main reason for the selection of the host country for 2010: "They were really interested in hosting the show and they are developing a huge festival", he noted. Chairman of the reference group also commented on the change of the rule, which took place in 2008 and was implemented in Belgium starting this year, that the song may not be completely written by junior participant. "That was the intention to regularize an existing situation. There were already situations where children were assisted by adults to make their songs, "says De Coninck-De Boeck. "This was the matter very difficult to investigate. Hence, the EBU wanted to keep the middle position and opted for this adaptation of the rules and we will provide a joint collaboration and ensure that the money profit will still belong to the child. Who really made the song is a private situation which we can not look into". This year, at least Belgian and Swedish entries will be officially attributed names of adult co-writers. Prior to the contest 2008, Brit Spooren, head of Belgian delegation of the contest has noted, "Until Junior Eurovision remains, we will stay there. It is the question how the Junior Eurovision itself will evolve". Junior Eurosong producer Dries Verhaeghe is satisfied with Junior Eurosong 2009 ratings, despite a slight drop in them, and declared that Belgium intends to keep taking part in the contest, however adding that participation of their neighbours The Netherlands is also critical in their decision to continue participation in JESC. For the first time, VRT has not launched search for the 2010 entry immediately after the end of 2009 contest. According to De Coninck - De Boeck national selection procedure will be evaluated after the international final in Kiev. "Rules prescribe us to have a preselection with televoting, but public selection between two candidates also qualifies as such", he had mysteriously pointed out. |

Однако, по его славам не это было главным критерием в выборе страны проведения: "Они действительно заинтересованы в организации конкурса и планируют огромный по своим масштабам фестиваль", отметил он. Председатель оргкомитета также прокомментировал изменения в правилах, которые были внесены в 2008 году и применены в Бельгии, начиная с этого года, гласящие, что теперь песни не обязательно должны быть полностью написаны юными конкурсантами. "Мы хотели как-то отрегулировать уже сложившуюся ситуацию. Были примеры, когда детям определенно помогали в создании песен взрослые", говорит Де Конинк - Де Бук. "Этот вопрос очень сложно проконтролировать. is already on 25th spot of Ultratip chart, beating even group song "Een echte
revelatie" which is on 29th. But, certainly, other candidates will also try to show
their best and only viewers will decide. Predictions proved to be correct, Laura goes to Kiev with "Zo verliefd" (So in love). Manou finished as runner-up, while Thomas and T&T shared 3rd place. Belgian broadcaster VRT has launched complete website for Junior Eurosong 2009. There you can listen for
the first time to the short 50 seconds extracts of the participating songs. If you want to
listen to complete songs, you will be able to purchase mp3s as well as physical CDs on amazon.fr, amazon.de,
amazon.co.uk

will take part in the Junior Eurosong 2009.  Anke Babeliowsky, 16/03/1997, Ternat - Ooh Daddy Anke loves playing soccer, dancing, skiing and of course singing. She has two grandmothers, aged over 95 and a cat called Fonske, but the song which they take part in Junior Eurosong is about her other great hero, her dad. Her song tells that his little girl has grown up and now can stand on her feets herself. Surely, no father can be left untouched hearing it. The entry has been produced by Yannic Fonderie. T & T (Tim Tielemans, 01/04/1998 and Thomas Van Achteren 03/09/1995), Sint-Katelijne-Waver - Geniaal Thomas loves playing bass guitar, eating pizza and skating on a board, while Tim likes to climb on walls, is big fan of Bart Peeters and Southern France. For his birthday Thomas wants 2000 Euros, while it is not enough for Tim, who wants piano, worth 12000 Euros. Their song, in which they decribe themselves as "abnormal and totally crazy" has been produced by Koen "Zornik" Buyse.  Las Ninas (Lisa De Maeyer, 5/9/1994 and Jana De Maeyer, 28/4/1997), Waasmunster - Jongens. Home of two sisters is always full of music. They have been learning for several years to play flute and piano. Jana has also been practicing sports, while Lisa prefers drawing. Their entry has been produced by Patrick Hamilton and Vincent Pierins (La Sakhra, Kate Ryan, Sergio). Why boys sometimes are weird, like if they are from a different planet?, are asking two girls in their song. Manou Maerten, 17/08/1995, Waalse Durbuy - Comment faire? Besides singing Manou also studies theory of music, ballet, diction and also practices swimming. Manou has three sisters. She perfectly speaks both Dutch and French languages. Her entry has been produced by Hans Francken and Ingrid Mank (Clouseau). Manou sings about romantic love, love letters, picnic in the park and long walks on beach.  Margo Raats, 04/02/1998, Schilde - Vandaag is de daag. Margo loves bright colours, skirts, pins and yellow lemonade. She plays piano, but singing is her dream and hobby. Her idol is Free Souffriau. Her entry has been produced by Edwin Van Hoevelaak (Jeroen van der Boom, Dana Winner). Margo's song is aiming to make all people instantly happy. Thomas Cerpentier, 25/01/1995, Verrebroek - Groot zijn Almost whole of Thomas family sings. Thomas himself has already starred in several musicals, but became famous winning TV show De Cup. He also loves computer games, and eats whatever he wishes not careing, whether it is greasy or unhealthy. However, he spends his calories playing football. The song of Thomas was produced by Wim Claes (composer of Belgian Eurovision 1999 entry) and Gene Thomas. Can I finally become grown up?, asks Thomas in his entry.  Sepp n'Sigi (Sigi Hendrix, 19/7/1995 and Sepp Hendrix, 22/4/1997), Hasselt - Die ene seconde Boys have inherited their music and sporting talents from their father. On Friday Hendrix clan enjoyes their regular "Fries-and-Night TV" and then they spend weekends practicing sports. Sepp is gymnast while Sigi prefer diving and waterskating. Four
new coaches
will be involved in the project this year. Niels
Destadsbader, coach of Anke, Thomas and Pjotr. Niels is actor having starred in several
theater plays, becoming famous for the role of Olivier in TV-series Amika aired on Ketnet
channel. After that he also gained experience as the singer and took part in
"Soapstar Superstar" program. His first single "Jij bent van mij" has
been awarded Radio 2 Summer hit trophy. Currently he stars in FC De Kampioenen. Kristien Maes, coach of T&T, Margo and Laura. Kristien
is known as presenter of Ketnet channel and Op Schok program. She has started her career
on radio 4FM presenting daily morning show from Barcelona. Later she moved to Radio Donna
and then to kids TV channel Ketnet, where she presents Ketnet Radio and Studio Brussel.
For last two years she has been co-commentator of international finals of Junior
Eurovision. Sofie Van Moll, coach of Las Ninas, Sepp 'n Sigi and Kiviv. Sofie is well known face for audience of Ketnet channel. She has hosted several shows on it, played in Ketnet band and starred in soap opera Spring. She has graduated from drama academy of Maastricht, with knowledge how to combine dance, music, theater, video and performance. As actress she also starred in movie Los. As singer, she has taken part in singing show "Soapstar Superstar" and in Eurosong preselection in 2004. |

| Jury
of Junior Eurosong this year will include only two members, however, organizers describe
them as water and fire, or an angel and a devil. It is expected that members of two jury
members will be always contradicting, when one will love the style, the other will hate
it. When one would like candidate to qualify to the finals, the other will want him to be
releaged as soon as possible. When one is positive, the other will be always negative. In
short: organizers do not take any responsibilities for the accidents happening because of

Aerts is former member of girls band K3, which was the icon for many kids in Belgium,
selling more than 4 million of CDs and even acting in their own movies, also taking part
in Eurosong 1999. Kathleen has also starred in musicals as Snow White and The Little
Mermaid. This year, she has left the band and has released her debut single Zumba Yade.Walter Grootaers is veteran of VRT. In 1973 working at Radio 2 Antwerp he has got the idea of music band mixing British sounding music with Dutch lyrics. Since then De Kreuners have released 8 studio albums and toured all across Belgium and abroad. Their new album is scheduled for spring of 2010. old Ben Roelants will be for the third year hosting the show. After a career in TV Brussel
and JIM Ben went in 2007 to work for the VRT. He has presented at a De Naaktkalender,
Vlaanderen Boven and of course Junior Eurosong. He was one of the main hosts of Radio
Donna and is still occasionally be heard on MNM. "Officially now for the first time I
became dad, but actually Junior Eurosong was always kind of my child. Every year I am
astonished by the presence, the talent and the appearance of our candidates". Ben
will also be one of Een commentators in Kyiv. Ben
Roelants admits that main excitement for him is Belgian Junior Eurosong and not Junior
Eurovision in Ukraine. "JESC has turned itself into a kind of festival for the
Eastern countries. Thus, I consider participation in it only as extra prize for the winner

| 27/08 Belgian broadcaster Een has held a press-launch of the Junior
Eurosong 2009 project this afternoon at puppet theatre Pedrolino in Sint-Amandsberg,
Ghent. Launch has been attended by participants of the show, host and coaches of the
project. More details on the preselection scheme have been revealed. All in all, Een has received 936 applications to take part in the show. Best of them were sent to the camp, where leading producers and songwriters were helping either to develop their own entries or have been creating new songs together with kids. After the camp 12 performers/bands have been selected to take part in the televised part of the show. They will be assisted by four music coaches - Niels Destadsbader, Kristien Maes, Sean D'Hondt, Sofie Van Moll. Semifinal 1, 05/09: Two of the performers in each semifinal will proceed to the national final, set for Saturday, September 26th, where six entrant will fight for the ticket to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. This time only one version, voted in the previous round will be performed. The shows usually begin at 20.45, thus around 22.00 the vedict will be known. На этот раз они исполнят только ту версию своей песни, которая набрала больше баллов во время полуфинальной стадии. Программа начнется в 20.45 местного времени, таким образом к 22.00 в этот день станет известно имя победителя. to take a look behind the scenes, to watch auditions of candidates, browse private photos
of participants and of course get acquainted with their joint song and solo entries. Monday-Thursday, starting August 31st. Junior Eurosong ID Kits will be aired at approximately 8.45, 17.50, 18.55 daily, however, viewers are adviced to check local listings. Friday, 4th of September - all ID Kits of the week: 17.15 Anke, 18.20 T&T, 18.40 Las Ninas, 19.10 Manou Saturday, 5th of September 20.45 on Een 1st semifinal, repeated Sunday, 6th of September 18.00 on Ketnet ID Kits can also be seen online, on Ketnet and on Junior Eurosong websites. Regional broadcasts on Radio 2 will be focusing on candidates of Junior Eurosong as well. On Saturdays at 13.00, candidates for this week will appear in the show Zig Zag. De Rode Loper program on August 27th will include report on Junior Eurosong, with extracts from rehearsals, singing and dancing lessons and interviews with coaches of the show. Among the participants of the show are winners of Zo is er maan een - De Cup program on Ketnet Pjotr Wolfs and Thomas Cerpentier, and runner-up of the 2nd season Manou Maerten. Eurosong. Поклонники конкурса смогут побывать за
кулисами, увидеть прослушивания кандидатов,
посмотреть личные фото участников, и, конечно же,
познакомиться с тематической песней конкурса и
сольными песнями. Понедельник-Четверг, начиная с 31го августа. Junior Eurosong ID Kits будут транслироваться ежедневно примерно в 8.45, 17.50 и 18.55, однако для получения точного графика рекомендуется свериться с расписанием телеканала. репортажи о прошедших отборочных турах. Радио Ketnet также посвятит значительное количество эфира Junior Eurosong, именно там можно будет впервые услышать полные версии песен и интервью с исполнителями. Региональные эфиры на радио 2 также будут посвящены участникам отбора. По субботам в 13.00, кандидаты этой недели будут принимать участие в программе Zig Zag. В программе De Rode Loper 27го августа выйдет репортаж о Детском Евровидении с отрывками репетиций, уроками пения и танцев и интервью с педагогами проекта. Также стали известны некоторые новые детали об участниках. В число конкурсантов вошли победители программы Zo is er maan een - De Cup Пётр Вольфс и Томас Серпентье, а также призер 2го выпуска шоу Ману Мертен.  18/08 Though official presentation of the Belgian Junior Eurosong
2009 competition will take place only on August 27th, ESCKaz can now reveal the names of
participants, the the titles of their entries and details of the official CD of
competition that can be preordered now. As earlier suggested, VRT has attempted to select
12 participants, representing different styles of music. Though sсheme of preselection is
not yet confirmed, it appears that each of participants have recorded their songs in two
music styles, thus official double album of the competition, to be released on September
4th as mp3 download and on September 7th as CD version, will include 24 songs, their
karaoke versions as well as joint theme song Een Echte Revelatie (A Real Revelation) in
two versions and with karaoke, 52 tracks in total. Participants of the competition (music styles, performer - songtitle): Punk Rock/Girlpower (Las Ninas - Jongens (Boys)), Glam Rock/Jukebox Jive (Anke - Ooh Daddy), Unplugged/Soft Rock (Sepp 'n Sigi - Die Ene Seconde (That One Second)), Poprock/Ethnic (Pjotr - Allemaal Vrienden (All Friends)), Wonderland/Fiesta Latina (Margo - Vandaag Is De Dag (Today is the Day)), 80's Revival/Guitar Rock (Tune - Ik Wil Leven (I Want to Live)), A Lo Cubano/Drumbeat (Kiviv - Catwalk), Ruige Rock/Cool Cat (T&T - Geniaal (Brilliant)), Smokey Jazz/Pop (Manou - Comment Faire (How to Make)), Bollywood/Country (Haruka - Waar Ben Je? Belgian broadcaster has announced that the details have apparently leaked too early,
though confirming them to be correct. "We regret this fact and invite everyone to pay
attention to the extensive presentation of candidates during the official launch of the

| 13/08 Belgian Junior Eurosong 2009 has been promised to feature some important changes in the concept. But what this changes will be? Details are being revealed portionally, reports Eurosong.be. At the moment we know that unlike in previous years, not 10, but 12 candidates have been selected to take part in the live shows, that will start on 5th of September and will lead to the final of preselection on September 26th. The role of jury in the preselection will also be reviewed, however there still will be several coaches, appearances of guest artists and Ben Roelants will remain as presenter of the show. | 24/07 Belgian broadcaster Een has issued additional statement that
they are still searching for a Belgian dancers, aged 10 to 15, ideally between 1m50 and
1m70 high. Interested kids should send an e-mail immediately to junioreurosong@een.be! National preselection will take place on Saturdays in September with national final preliminary scheduled for September 26th. It is expected that concept of Junior Eurosong will be changed from last year, but what exactly these changes are will be revealed only during the project launch in August. Separate selection of the dancers is a new introduction of the show. Applicants will no longer have the right to have on stage their friends they have chosen themselves, but the right to determine supporting acts will belong to the producers of the show. Like last year, the dancers of the Junior Eurosong winner will not be guaranteed ticket to Kyiv, the act on Kyiv stage will be completely different from the one in preselection. |

Belgian broadcaster VRT has lauched a call for young dancers, musicians and acrobats who
will be accompanying singers on a stage of "Junior Eurosong 2009". Anyone, aged
10-15, who can dance, play music instruments or have experience in acrobatics can take
part in big auditions for this roles which will be organized on July 3rd. To apply, one should send an e-mail to junioreurosong@een.be with a photo of yourself and more information on your qualification. If you are selected, you have to be available on July 27-28, August 10-13 and every Wednesday and Saturday of September. |

Britt Spooren, head of Belgian delegation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest has
categorically denied the rumours of creation of the joint Junior contest with Netherlands,
saying that no such contacts with a Dutch broadcaster have been made. More than that Mr.
Spooren has firmly reassured: "Until Junior Eurovision remains, we will stay there.
It is the question how the Junior Eurovision itself will evolve". "For us results in JESC is not the main goal", adds Spooren. "We are considering the way Junior Eurovision is developing every year, number of participating countries, interest of public, but so far we assume that we will continue taking part in this competition". VRT is particularly pleased with interest towards national preselection: "The number of entries is big and the quality is high". "We see no need to stop instantly. The results of the Junior Eurovision are not the most important. We always stressed it. It is a great experience for the participants. The interest in Flanders is significant. Just look at Oliver, everyone knows him in Flanders. That was also the case for Thor! and X!nk", reports Eurosong.be |

As usual, with the end of this year national preselection, Belgian TV has already
announced the launch of preselection for JESC 2009. Closing date for submission in
January, 30. Children born between November 23, 1993 and November 22, 1999, Belgian
nationals or living at least 2.5 years officially in the country, having no
record contract and not yet taking part in professional CD are eligible to join. Lyrics
should be in Dutch, French and / or German. English texts are not allowed! Submission form is available here. However, Belgian is not yet definitely confirming it's participation in 2009 event. According to Belgian press broadcaster may consider withdrawal from the contest "If Belarusians again collect points from all their their neighbors and other countries will do the same, we may reconsider participation in the contest. Netherlands, for example, is investigating possibility to organize an alternative children's festival" is quoted anonymous representative of organizing team. Belgium and The Netherlands are the only two Western countries staying in competition. The interest from children seems to be high (around 1000 entries have been receive this year in The Netherlands, 500 in Belgium), press and fans are paying a lot of attention to the show (there are dozens of sites in Dutch language specially devoted to the contest, something very unlikely in other countries, for example ESCKaz is the only site covering the event in Russian and only few smaller sites also report in English), and the TV ratings have been stable. Second semifinal in The Netherlands have been watched by 423.000 viewers, which is even more than last year, when contest was hosted in The Netherlands. In Belgium final was followed by 623.000 viewers which is almost similar figure to last years. Official albums of preselection last year have reached status of platinum. |

принимаются до 30го января. Допускаются дети

Бельгия и Нидерланды - единственные западные страны, оставшиеся в конкурсе. Интерес к участию в них стабильно высок (в этом году в Голландии было получено около 1000 заявок, в Бельгии более 500), пресса и фанаты проявляют большой интерес к конкурсу (в интернете существуют десятки сайтов о конкурсе на голландском языке, что не наблюдается в других участвующих странах, так ESCKaz - единственный сайт освещающий конкурс на русском языке, на английском с ним работают лишь несколько мелких фанатских изданий), телерейтинги шоу в этих странах также довольно стабильны. 2003: 6th
It only took two weeks for Laura to learn yodelling technique. "I
discovered yodel, when my mom once was browsing Youtube videos. I really have no ide who
was the performer, but when I heard the song I noticed that it had something special in it
and I wanted to learn it. It's fun when you do something others can not do. It was always
intended when I started yodelling. And now it helped me to be different in Junior Eurosong
as well. Now in my school everyone tries yodelling", says Laura. "I had not
expected the victory, but I'm super happy. I now enjoy and celebrate! Then comes time for
more rehearsals and singing lessons. I have heard several participating entries from other
countries and they were pretty good". 
Laura herself
thinks she is ready for Kiev. "I still have to continue practicing for 2 or 3 weeks
more before the contest, but it is OK", she says. Otherwise, singer remains calm.
"I'm not nervous yet, November 21 is still far away. Usually all the attention to me
is fun, sometimes may be not so. My best memory is so far the reception by my friends in
my school in Berlaar-Heikant. I'm especially curious to see how things will be in
Kiev", she says. 
Together
with journalists Laura also watched clips of the other participants. There are a total of
23 main performers on stage (not counting backing dancers), 18 of them are girls. The
average age of participants is 11.4 years and Laura is the youngest of them all, being 10.
Laura
treated the audience to two performances: one with Miguel Wiels on acoustic piano, and one
in the snow with the dancers there. What bravely began, ended in a crazy snowball fight.

прежних тонах. Однако, помимо костюмов,
выступление не претерпело значительных
изменений, по принципу "Лошадей на переправе
не меняют". 
Вместе
с журналистами Лаура просмотрела клипы других
участников. Всего на конкурсе будет 23 основных
участника (не считая подтанцовки), из них 18
девочек. Их средний возраст составляет 11.4 года, и
Лаура - самая младшая из них, поскольку ей только
10 лет.
