| At the very
beginning of April full video for the Moldovan song will be ready, but official video
preview include concert video from the final of the national preselection. Organizers noted, that despite different online fan-polls doesn't show big support towards Moldovan entry, in average putting it on around 25th place out of 37 participants, this will have nothing to do with the final outcome. Last year many fans were negative towards Zdub's entry, but the contest revealed different opinion of the televiewers. | Arsenium was
born on 22nd of July, 1983 in Moldova, Chisinau city. He grew up in a very harmonious
surrounding. His mother worked as a doctor, his father as an engineer. He has a younger
sister. His parents gave him the chance to decide his way of life all by himself. “They let me decide by myself what to do with my life, but the advises they gave me have always been very useful to me.” Arsenium was always known as a big dreamer. His biggest dream was to become a big musician, someone whose songs should build up the musical history. Most of the music he was listening to was Russian. “I grew up with Russian music. At that time I had just only one fan, my little sister.” He started to write his own songs when he turned 15 and it pleased him so much, that he couldn’t stop. “I realised that only that way I could express myself, my feelings in the real life! I understood that there is a place for me and my dreams in this world.” Arsenium tried to confer the way he wrote songs to his real life. “I started to build up my life the way I create a song. Then started the life of my dreams like a beautiful melody.” At the age of 16 Arsenium was involved in a Moldovan folk band named “Stejareii” (the little oaks), playing the contra-bass. In that time he started to perform on the biggest stages of Moldova. But his first performance as a singer was at school. He tried to sing opera, more or less successful. When he was 17 he started to take singing lessons. His teacher was Larisa Shulga. “She taught me a lot of things about music and she shared with me her experience as an artist because she was a very famous opera singer in the whole ex- USSR” In the teaching units she discerned his talent and introduced him to Dan Balan, who invited him to become a new member of “O-Zone”. After a few weeks the composition of the group was completed by Radu Sirbu. The new band became very successful in Moldova and after conquering the Romanian market, they gladdened whole Europe with their biggest hit. “O-ZONE gave me a very good experience. I travelled a lot with the guys all over the world, I slept less night than ever but I felt really good.” He felt good with his two colleagues who were very talented artists and “very nice and friendly persons”. городе Кишиневе. Он вырос в очень гармоничной
обстановке, его мать была доктором, его отец -
инженером. У Арсения есть младшая сестра. Родители Арсения дали ему шанс самому выбрать жизненный путь. "Они позволили мне самому решать, что мне делать в жизни, но советы, которые они мне давали всегда остаются очень полезными для меня". Арсений всегда был большим мечтателем, его самой большой мечтой было стать известным музыкантом, таким, чьи песни войдут в историю музыки. В детстве Арсений слушал русскую музыку. "Я вырос на русской музыке. В то время у меня была всего одна фанатка - моя младшая сестра". Он начал писать песни в 15 лет и это ему так понравилось, что он не мог остановиться. "Я понял, что это единственный способ, когда я могу самовыразиться, описать мои чувства в реальной жизни! Я понял, что в этом мире существует место для меня и моей мечты". Арсениум старается приблизить написание песен к его настоящей жизни. "Я начал строить жизнь также, как я создаю песню. Потом я начал жизнь в мечтах, как красивую мелодию". В возрасте 16 лет Арсений входит в Молдавскую фолк-группу "Stejareii" играя на контрабасе. В это время он начинает выступать на крупнейших площадках Молдовы. Но его первым песенным опытом были школьные выступления. Он пытался петь оперу, более или менее удачно. В возрасте 17 лет он начал брать уроки вокала. Его учителем была Лариса Шульга. "Она научила меня очень многому в музыке и она поделилась со мной своим огромным опытом, поскольку она была известной всему СССР оперной певицей". Она раскрыла талант Арсения и представила его Дану Балану, который пригласил его стать новым участником группы "O-Zone". Через несколько недель формирование состава группы было завершено, в нее вошел Раду Ширбу. Новая группа стала очень известной в Молдове и завоевав Румынский рынок, она впоследствие покорила и всю Европу своим хитом. "Группа O-Zone дала мне неоценимый опыт. Я много путешествовал с ребятами по всему миру, я спал меньше чем обычно, но я чувствовал себя очень хорошо". Приятно было работать и с двумя коллегами, оба из которых талантливые артисты и "очень хорошие и дружные люди". Но сейчас Арсений готов к новому шагу. Gordienko was born on 11 December 1987 in Kishinev, Moldova, to a family of architects.
She studied at high school in the 12th form, majoring in mathematics, biology and
chemistry. During her studies she has been singing in the school choir. She has graduated
from musical school in piano and has been dancing in the dance ensemble for 10 years. At
the age of 15, she began to participate independently in different singing competitions,
winning three national and six international contests. 1. National competition - The song on the national station Radio Moldova in 2003 - 2nd place 2. National competition – The Star Of Kishinev in 2003 - grand prix 3. National competition – Miss Teenager in 2004 - grand prix 4. International Festival – Rainbow Stars in Jurmala, Latvia in 2003 5. International competition – Sevastopol-Ialta in Ukraine in 2004 - 1st place 6. International competition – Delfice Games in 2004 - 1st place 7. International competition – Heart Of Two Twins in 2004 - 1st place 8. International competition – Songs Of The World in 2005 - 1st place 9. International competition – Our Native Edge in 2005 - grand prix Since 2005 she have been the singer with the band Millennium. In 2005, in the national selection for Eurovision, they came third. They were also invited to participate in the Golden Deer international competition in Romania in 2005. |

once again confirms that he has submitted his song "Made in Moldova" to the new
preselection round despite the previous claims by organizers that all 3 finalists have
rejected to enter new round of preselection. Geta Burlacu and Alexa have once again
confirmed that they have opted out. From other participants only band "Lou" have
confirmed they are going enter for the second time. Arsenium is set to participate in final with Natalia Gordienco, ex soloist of Millenium. Due to misunderstanding it was clarified that non-Moldavian singers were not allowed to enter though there were applications from Romania (Indiggo), Russia (Varvara), Portugal, Greece, Netherlands and Spain. Yesterday TRM has stated there will be 5 artists in the final, that are listed below: |

| On 15th of March
in the studio of national Moldovan broadcaster TRM additional round of preselection for
Eurovision 2006 will be held. Organizing comittee decided to run additional selection round, as according to head of the comittee Valerian Kristi, the first preselection round ended in triple draw between Alexa & Moldstar, Serj Kuzenkoff and Geta Burlacu. Any interested performers are allowed to submit their applications till 10 am on March 14 to the TRM, including those that didn't participate in the previous rounds. As representative of TRM has revealed to ESCKaz - all 3 winners of the first final have opted out of the new selection, stating the procedure to be "not correct". Sources close to Serj Kuzenkoff however state he is still preparing to participate in the new selection. New round of preselection will be broadcasted on Moldova 1 at 21.45 local time. Decision, as in the first final, will be taken by jury and televoting. In case of another tie, and refusal of youngest jury member to take the decision, as winner will be announced the participant, who scores most points with televoting. The latest unofficial reports state that band Akcent that has finished 2nd in Romanian preselection is at this moment one of the favourites to represent Moldova at Eurovision 2006. The other possible name is Arsenium (ex-O-Zone), who also stated his interest to take part in the new round of selection. Even interest from Spainish performers to take part in the new round is revealed. |

Желающие участвовать в новом отборочном туре могут подать заявления до 10 утра 14 марта в компанию "Телерадио-Молдова". Как сообщил сайту ESCKaz представитель телеканала - все трое предыдущих победителей в новом раунде отбора принимать участие отказались, поскольку посчитали проведение нового отбора - незаконным. Источники близкие к Сержу Кузенкову, однако уверяют, что он готовится к участию в новом отборе. Новый раунд отбора будет показан на телеканале Молдова 1 в 21.45 местного времени. Решение, как и в предыдущем раунде будет принято жюри и телезрителями. Если вновь сложится ничья и младший член жюри вновь не сможет определить победителя - им будет признан участник, набравший наибольшее количество баллов в телеголосовании. Последние неофициальные данные сообщают, что группа Акчент, занявшая второе место на румынском национальном отборе к Евровидению - является в настоящее время одним из основных фаворитов на молдавское место на конкурсе. | Preselection concert has not revealed winner tonight, 3 tied winners were
announced: Serj Cuzenkoff, Geta Burlacu and Moldstars & Alexa. Additional jury meeting
will decide which one of these singers deserve the right to represent Moldova at
Eurovision 2006 if any. Jury has also reseved right to invite other performer to represent
country at Eurovision in Athens, commented member of Jury Mihai Dolgan "If we take
part in Eurovision in Athens, we should do that in adequate manner. Moldova deserved
it". The rumoured candidate names include Arsenium (ex-O-Zone) and Natalia Barbu. Foreign performers are also considered, and possible withdrawal (despite EBU penalty) is being discussed too. However Vasily Duka, head of organizing comittee of national preselection has totally dismissed this rumours, stating that one of the three winners will go to Greece, representing Moldova. Meanwhile finalists of Moldovan preselection for Eurovision 2006 have accused organizers of the preselection in breach of it's regulations. As the protest, which is signed by majority of the partcipants, and which was read out by Vlag Gorgos, producer of Millenium during special press-conference held on March 2nd states, jury has violated the rules of the contest and didn't name the name of Moldovan representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2006 according to the results of preselection concert. "Taking in consideration that 3 participants have finished with the same scores, according to the regulations of the preselection event, as the winner should decided by the youngest of the jurors, but this didn't happen", underlined Gorgos. Among other claims contestants, including Alexa, who was also spoke at the press-conference, noted the fact that televoting numbers were displayed on the screens for such a short period of time that they couldn't be remembered or written down. Also the voting of jury was secret, and results of televoting were revealed just few days after the contest, noted the contestants in their protest appeal. Protesters have sent the letter to Eurovision coordinator Svante Stockselius and demanded investigation of what had happened in the national Moldovan final and banning TRM from holding the national preselection for Eurovision in Moldova. Among those who signed letter were "Millenium" and their producer Vlad Gorgos, bands "Studio One", "Edict", Georgeta Daraban, Corina Tepes, composer Marian Styrca, Alexa and "Moldstar". Two other "winners of preselection", Serj Kuzenkoff and Geta Burlacu so far didn't issue any statements. TRM gave the official comment totally dismissing the allegations of Vlad Gorgoz, stating the following "the procedure was correct and the final situation was correct too, we have had 10757 votes for televoting and the jury Votes were certified by a public notary. The biggest problem is that after a voting procedure for selecting the number one there were a tie 4/4 and the youngest jury member didn't want to take a decision who will be our representative at the Athens, this moment took us out of the planned live time of the event (that's why there've been a problem with announcements of the results, the director of the show was waiting for a final statement) and the Jury decided that we will announce 3 finalists and the decision will be taken by the Organizing Committee. Today it will be the meeting of the Committee and probably by this evening we will have a final decision in this matter". The latest information from TRM states that Moldovan representative at Eurovision 2006 will be announced on 9th of March. |

Пока в основном слухи фокусируются на именах Арсения (экс ОЗон), и Натальи Барбу, также рассматриваются иностранные исполнители, а также не отвергается и вариант со снятием из конкурса (несмотря на штраф, полагающийся в таком случае). Василий Дука, руководитель рабочей группы "Евровидения" Молдовы, однако, полностью опроверг эти слухи и сообщил, что в Грецию поедет один из трех победителей отборочного тура. Тем временем финалисты молдавского отборочного этапа "Евровидение-2006" обвинили организаторов в нарушении регламента. Как отмечается в протесте, который зачитал 2 марта на пресс-конференции от имени большинства финалистов продюсер группы Миллениум Влад Горгос, жюри нарушило регламент и не определило победителя, который должен представлять Молдавию на конкурсе "Евровидение-2006" в Афинах. "Учитывая, что наибольшее количество очков было набрано сразу тремя участниками, по регламенту, самый младший по возрасту из жюри должен был выбрать среди них конкурента от Республики Молдовы. Но этого сделано не было", - подчеркнул Горгос. Среди других претензий конкурсанты, в числе которых была и Алекса, выступившая на пресс-конференции, отмечают тот факт, что во время телевизионной трансляции номера телефонов для голосования зрителей демонстрировались на экране столь короткое время, что их было невозможно запомнить или записать. Кроме того, голосование жюри было тайным, а результаты телефонного голосования были объявлены слишком поздно, считают конкурсанты. Участники протеста отправили письмо координатору Евровидения Сванте Стокселиусу с просьбой вмешаться в ситуацию с молдавским отбором и лишить ТРМ права отбора молдавского участника к конкурсу Евровидение. В числе подписавших протест значится группа "Millenium" и ее продюсер Влад Горгос, группы "Studio One" и "Edict", Жоржета Дарабан, Корина Цепеш, Алекса, Руслан Цэрану, композитор Мариан Стырча и молодые исполнители "Moldstar". Два других "победителя отбора" - Серж Кузенков и Джета Бурлаку пока не сделали никаких заявлений. ТРМ дало официальный комментарий на обвинения, заявив следующее "процедура, использованная нами была абсолютно корректной, проблем с телеголосованием не было, мы получили 10757 голосов, а голоса жюри также были заверены нотариусом. Проблема в том, что после голосования и выбора исполнителя мы пришли к ничье 4/4 и младший член жюри не хотел принять решение о том, кто представит страну в Афинах. Поэтому во время прямого эфира мы так и не смогли прийти к окончательному решению, и задержав оглашение результата в итоге решили объявить имена трех финалистов, а дальнейшее решение примет Организационный комитет. Сегодня, 3го марта, состоится заседание комитета, и вероятно сегодня вечером мы будем знать окончательное решение". Согласно последней информации из ТРМ - имя Молдавского участника Евровидения 2006 будет названо 9го марта. |

из тринадцати финалистов участник(ца) не будет
дотягивать до приемлемого уровня, все...
отменяется. И жюри может пригласить претендента,
что называется, со стороны. Предлагалось даже вообще не посылать участника на Евровидение в этом году. Но это сделать уже поздно - иначе придется платить штраф, сравнимый с затратами на подготовку участника. Национальный Молдавский отбор к Евровидению 2006 состоится 25го февраля в 20.30 Москвы.  30.01 42 songs entries were submitted for National Selection
in Moldova, you can find full list below. On 30th of January an internal Jury will decide which 30 (at least 25) songs will qualify to the first phase - internal semifinal of the National Selection for Eurovision 2006 that will take place on 5th of February in TRM studio 2. At this phase, also a Jury will select the 15 songs for the National Final. It will take place on the 25 February, were the song which will represent Moldova at the Athens, will be decided by 50% televoting and 50% Jury. |

можете найти полный список ниже. 30го января жюри фестиваля определит, какие 30 (либо 25) из них пройдут в первый этап национального отбора - внутренний полуфинал, который состоятся 5го февраля в студии ТРМ. На этом этапе вновь жюри выберет уже 15 песен, которые примут участие в национальном финале конкурса. Он состоится 25го февраля и песня, которая представит Молдову на Евровидении будет выбрана голосованием телезрителей и жюри. |
| 25.01 Fifteen applications for the national Moldovan preselection were so
far submitted to the Teleradio-Moldova, reports Komsomolskaya pravda. Teleradio-Moldova
chairman Ilie Telescu told that as the last year's experience showed, most of applications
will be submitted during the last days before the contest, the submission deadline is
closing on 27th of January. During the period from January 30th - February 4th jury will study all applications and will select 15 participants to compete in the national contest's final, which will be conducted at the National Opera House in end-February. At the same time, the Teleradio-Moldova's management has submitted the contest's spending budget plan which is to be revised by the Finance Ministry, and approved by the government. |
На национальный отборочной конкурс "Eurovision 2006" в Молдове пока подано 15 заявок, сообщает Комсомольская Правда Молдова. Председатель компании "Телерадио-Молдова" Илие Телешку уверен что, учитывая прошлогодний опыт, многие исполнители могут подать заявки в последние дни регистрации участников национального конкурса - 27 января. C 30 января по 4 февраля жюри изучит все поданные заявки и определит имена 15 финалистов. Финальный тур намечен на конец февраля в Театре оперы и балета. Руководство компании "Телерадио-Молдова" представило сегодня и смету расходов на проведение конкурса, которую рассмотрит Министерство финансов и утвердит затем правительство. |
| 06.01 Moldova kicks off it's preselection season. As we
were informed by TRM the song submission deadline was set on 4th of February. Following
this selection comittee will decide on 15 finalists and the final will take place in the
end of February. Winner of the competition will be selected by televoting. Full rules of the national preselection are available at broadcaster's site. Preparation schedule of broadcaster also includes filming of a preview video for ESC contestant and organization of promo tour. |
