 After
Moldova Annet Artani has travelled to Sofia (Bulgaria), where she met with Mariana Popova,
Bulgarian representative at Eurovision 2006. Annet has also performed live her song at BNT
show Night Birds.On 18th of April Annet arrived to Riga, Latvia, where she appeared in several TV shows and gave series of interviews. In Estonia next day Annet took part in the show "Terevisioon", where she performed her song. She also was interviewed at RAADIO 2 and Sky plus. Baltic part of tour was completed on April 21th in Lithuania, where she appeared in various teleprograms and also met Latvian representatives in ESC 2006, Cosmos, who were touring Lithuania at that time as well.  Next stop of Annet was
Bosnia, where Annet recorded special edition of Feminnem show, followed by Spain, where
she appeared in two TV shows - Musica Uno and Sabado Noche.Annet Artani became first ever Cypriot Eurovision representative who visited Turkey to promot Cypriot entry. Annet appeared on ATV and Kanal D and gave number of interviews. She has also met Turkish representative Sibel Tuzun. buildings. It's a pity that I have to leave it, and I will be glad to come back here
again. My song is about hapless people. I'd like to remind those who have everything: beautiful dresses, good houses, food, that there are some people, children that don't have anything, even the most important things. I've noticed that people are very friendly here. They like good music. Arsenium, and I also was fan of O-Zone, has very pleasant vocal, and I sympathize to him. I know their song is very happy.  Annete Artani will represent Cyprus at
Eurovision Song Contest with "Why Angels Cry". The New York City born-and-raised daughter of Greek immigrants, Annette was immersed in a love of music from the get go, particularly the gut-wrenching offerings of such before-her-time greats as Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and Nana Mouskouri. "I LIVE to sing," she confides. "Even when I'm in traffic, with the windows open." During her tenure as Britney Spears' backup vocalist on the whirlwind "Dream Within A Dream" tour, they wrote some tunes together. One of them -- the ballad and current single "Everytime" -- surfaced on Spears' latest album, "In The Zone". For her upcoming solo project, Annette has joined forces with a host of high profile music mavens. "We seem to have a good vibe going," she says. "My lyrics are pretty intense.. autobiographical. I need to work with people who share my vision." True to her roots, Annette's songs fuse the oud and bouzouki laced instrumentations of her Greek culture with a modern, city-wise pop, rock, and blues sound. "I'm not into following the existing trends," she explains. "I write from the soul. And I'm out to set some NEW standards in pop music!" Recently Annette Artani (Stamatelatos), took part in the Greek show Fame Story. She left after a month as she actually entered only to introduce herself. She went on to release a single "Amor", which quickly became popular. Her debut full length album Mia Foni (One Voice) was released in Greece in April 2006. Poet and composer who has written the contest entry, Petros Yannaki, has said that Why Angels Cry - is deeply personal song about world problems. He added that he would have given this song only to that performer who shares his point of view on this topic. During semifinal and final Annette has performed in the evening dress made by famous Cypriot designed Marios Savvidis. During her European promo-tour, where she will present her contest entry, she will also perform in Savvidis' dresses. |

As there is confusion with song #7 in the list of Cyprus national final "Forever and for good" performed by
Patrick Babak, written by Eric Babak & Patrick Babak we have additional information on that fact: It appeares that audio file titled "Forever and for Good" at Patrick Babak's site now has been changed. It is linked from the Patrick Babak's website (Music section), but stored at the server of the website of Eric Babak, composer at the following link. Now under the same name at the same link there is different file and different song. And authors have reported to CyBC that it is not the song entered in Cyprus preselection but different song under the same name, and indeed so - the song which is available now has nothing to do with Eurovision preselection. The file now is 571 Kb in size and Flash Get (see image below) reported that it was uploaded on the site, i.e. changed on 7th of January, after it was reported that it is available on the website and is breaking CyBC rules. However, we have the original file that was stored at that website, it was downloaded by our team at 20.47 local time on 5th of January. The Flash Get (see image below) information gathered about the file state that it was uploaded to Babak's website on 7th of May 2005. File size is 1191 Kb. We have reuploaded this file on our website so you can listen to it. Check it here We do not give any answers, but we can hardly believe that Mr. Babak has 3 songs under same title, original file, new file and different song submitted to CyBC, so we hope CyBC will investigate the matter completely and take right decision. можем добавить дополнительную информацию по
этому поводу: Аудиофайл с песней "Forever and for Good" расположенный на сайте исполнителя Патрика Бабак был изменен. Ссылку на файл вы можете найти на странице Патрика Бабак (раздел Музыка), но сам файл хранился на сервере сайта композитора песни Эрика Бабак по следующей ссылке. В настоящее время по данной ссылке доступен аудиофайл с совершенно другой песней. И авторы песни заявили в Киприотскую телекомпанию, что эта песня не имеет ничего общего с той, которая подана на отбор, просто у них одинаковое название - и это на самом деле так - песня размещенная на сайте сейчас - совсем другая композиция. Сейчас файл весит 571 Кб и ФлэшГет сообщает о том, что он был закачан на сайт, то есть изменен 7го января 2006 года, уже после того, как телекомпания Кипра начала расследование факта нарушения песней правил отбора. Однако, мы сохранили оригинал файла, расположенного на вебсайте. Он был закачан нами в 20:47 местного времени 5го января. Информация ФлэшГет гласит, что файл на сайте Бабак создан 7го мая 2005 года. | 11.01 Delivering news first Cypriot broadcaster has
took the decision to disqualify 7 entries which didn't correspond with the rules of
national selection, we've reported the matter earlier. One song is still under
investigation. Now they will be replaced with 7 songs from the waiting list. Performers of
most of the entries are yet to be announced and names given are so far unofficial. Cyprus newspaper Politis reported today that CyBC not only disqualified number of entries but also has asked EBU to take actions against the authors which tried to manipulate the broadcaster's preselection, CyBC is also considering taking legal actions against those authors. |

| 04.01 Cypriot television has announced 20 entries
that will participate in 2 semifinals of Cypriot preselection 2006. Artists are yet to be
revealed. The two semifinals are scheduled for February 11th and 12th (will take place in Studio 3 of CyBC), 5 best songs of each decide by televoting go to the National Final, scheduled for February 22nd, which will take place at Eleftheria Stadium in Limassol. Result will be decided by televoting. Full semifinal results will not be announced before the end of the final. Investigation: 1) Strangely enough 2 songs performed on demo by Sara May and song by Timo Tulone that were submitted and rejected in Poland are now listed among Cypriot entries, though it was stated in the rules of preselection that composers entering Cypriot NF should not enter any other European National Final. Demos performed by Sara May are also available to listen at her official website. 2) Styg Nygard has also entered Lithuanian preselection and is presented in Latvian press-release as co-author of one of the songs already selected in Latvian semifinals, though other sources have credited this song to Thomas G:son 3) Spanish songauthors of Andermay have also tried to submit their song to Belgian national final, but it was not accepted. 4) Under question is also one of the songs of Babaks, part of which is available at performer's website, which is prohibited by rules of preselection. 5) It also appears that 2 Swedish songs were submitted to Swedish preselection but rejected Thus it makes 8 songs of 20 under possible disqualification. Unofficial sources suggest that song 17 will be performed by Marios Tofi (JESC 2004), song 15 by Giorgos Gavriel, song 8 by Lefki Stylianou, song 10 by Evagoras Evagorou (member of United), song 5 by Marina Solonos, songs 12 and 13 by Helena Paris, song 11 by Annete Artani, song 16 by Eleni Dimou. |

Расследование: 1) Странным является тот факт, что две песни в демо исполнении Сары Мэй, а также песня композитора Тимо Тулоне, поданные, но не прошедшие в польский отбор отобраны в число полуфиналистов на Кипре, хотя правила отбора запрещали композиторам подающим заявку на Кипре подавать свои композиции в национальные отборы других стран.
