Something different from Norway

National day is great fun.....

Every year we try to do something unique to the host country and this year is no exception, the perfect opertunity arose yesterday with National Day.

We posted something yesterday about this here....http://www.esckaz.com/new/en/blog/national-day-2010 but also last night we were invited to some freinds house for a traditional family celebration of this day.

Not knowing quite what to expect the four of us met with others at the local bus stop and headed of into the wilds of the Oslo suburbs for the evening, and what a night we had. Fantastic food of hjort, raedjur and traditional Norwegian sausage......in others words we ate Rudolph the Reindeer and Bambi:)))) Barbecued no less. And very nice it was too:))

Needless to say there was lots of alcohol, lots of loud conversation and a very interesting, drunken ride back into Oslo on the local bus singing Fairytale and getting very funny looks from the locals. Oh Dear.

We also managed to get one of the locals record a little greeting for you all from Norway......

and some pictures just prove that it's not all about Eurovision for us:)))

Even though the kiddy-winks were fascinated by the accreditation badges:)
