Ireland - the last rehearsal of the day and one of those I have been most looking forward to as this is probably my favourite song this year. Brendan is wearing a white shirt and has the biggest prop on stage so far - a huge air balloon. He is standing on what would be the basket of it. Now we've only seen one run of it so I don't know if the best will be saved for last, but so far he's not flying yet.
The backdrop is at least better different than that from other country, red and images of clouds. The choir is not visible on stage but we can hear them clearly during the last part of the song. They sound definitely great, but don't cover Brendan which was what many probably hoped for as he is still struggling with the last notes.
I hope Ireland will do well this year but it's going to depend all on the moments.
OK so a little update after having seen the last run as well - I think this one sounded really good. No flying balloon though, and another thing I notice is his movements during the last chorus are a bit awkward.
