We don't have any silly pictures yet
Not too bad at all.......even though I hate the song:(((
Freaking pictures:))))
Our first WINNER this year so far:)))
This will of course all change as the day goes on!!!!
and don't just steal everything from the internet and sit in the bar all day..........
Not too sure what to think of this
First lot of goosebumps for us this year
The younger brothers of LTUnited have arrived.....
Just some thoughts:)))
Impressions of Norway so far
We were late this morning so missed Lithuania and Armenia, but being the useful souls that we are we decided to do some impressions of Norway
The People are simply the best. Welcoming, friendly, nothing to too much trouble attitude. Also if they cant fix it they find someone who can
the weather is not great, but seems to be getting better today
Everything is clean and neat and EVERYTHING runs on time……without fail
Euroclub is really rather lovely, small and intimate.
Speaking of intimate the whole feel of the contest so far is smaller, intimate, a gathering of friends rather than the commercial “lets throw billions of euros at this” attitude of last year
All the delegations that we have met so far seem to think that everything is wonderful, there have been no hissy fits. Actually one hissy fit from the Russioans, but that was sorted very quickly
The Opera house is the best building. Supposed to look like an iceburg. Maybe it doesn’t do that but we will still think it’s great.
We can walk to any destination in the city centre in about 10 minutes…..only downer is the arena is quite a distance from the centre……but we have our little magic bus that takes us there☺)
It is not as expensive as we thought it would be. Unlike previous years where bar prices went up it seems here that the bar prices have actually been lowered. Intelligent people…..get them drunk and they will buy more anyway☺
The buzz has not hit yet. Maybe it’s too early and the only “members of the press” that are here so far are the die-hards that come every year, without fail, and for the duration. This will obviously change when the massed hordes start to arrive later in the week.
If Greece win Germany have already agreed to pay for next year
The children all speak perfect English BUT speaking to a local last night people here get very emvbarressed about speaking English because they don’t want to appear rude to non-nationals and they think their English is not good enough……note to people arriving later, compliment them all of their high standards of spoken English
Traffic does not seem to be a problem
We miss Henrick in the rehearsals but the new lady from NRK is very nice and is doing a grand job
Arvid is a very naughty person
Norwegian Schlager is not as bad as we thought it would be
Hope you enjoy these:)))
Lithuania one will follow a bit later today
