Georgian press conference report from our South African correspondents.....

Georgia a country with deep routs settled into their culture and traditions, and with that the development of their country into a new century. Georgia has approached the South African Farmers to assist them with land development in Georgia, and the process of South African Farmers immigrating to Georgia is investigated. The South African Farmers will be a part of the next decade development of Georgia.

From Georgian press conference

The Culture and tradition and also the development of their country was so clearly envisioned and portrayed in their entire look and feel, performance and song choice of Eurovision 2011. Eldrine combined a modern Rock feel, but yet managed to still keep a strong Georgian Culture to the feel and expression of their song. This was clear that their development was not only aimed with their relationship with South Africa, but even in the area of their music. Developing, but still keeping strong routs into their beautiful traditions and culture that formed the strength of this country.

With their first rehearsal today their colourful, yet traditional clothing transformed the stage into a energetic experience which was clear in their performance, their clothes, and their song, which is bound to get the young crowd excited and has the potential to really be launched on International territory as a single hit. One thing was for sure the energy that was put into the creative development of this stage experience came to live when the lights went on Eldrine and their first rehearsal started echoing with extravagant rock beauty along with their amazing, sophisticated, striking –creative costumes, which was definitely the show-stoppers of the first day rehearsals.

Costumes was specially designed by a well known Georgian designer who creatively crafted a blend of modern and old Georgian Clothing tradition. The costumes came to live on stage!

One thing which stood out as well is that the team was completely presented by Georgian People and even the song this year was written within the group. The ownership that they are taking is strongly communicated in the presence of the song. Its their artwork which they are portraying to the world, compliments to DJ Be$$.

Sophio Toroshelidze, who was a backing vocal for Sophia in 2010, along with their Creative Director’s experience in large concert setup, brings a lot of experience and comfort to this new team, which will perform for the first time with so many viewers and audience. Their comfort on stage, yet their nervousness to the new experience for some of the members are invisible and they own the stage with their passion and energy!

In the press conference a beautiful Georgian traditional song was sung by the group, and we were so surprised by the beauty of the vocal of the Head of Delegation Natia who had a unique deep warm alto added to the song! Maybe she should consider joining them on stage!

Head of Delegation, Natia also invited everyone to the Georgian Party on the 5th of May at the Euroclub and we were encouraged by the thought that traditional food will be presented to the guests and we’re looking forward to experience and share in their culture in the heart of Dusseldorf.

Georgia, a country with culture and tradition, feel honored to be accredited by a country of beauty and such deep roots.
