Alexey Vorobyov makes a striptease during his pressconference

Hilarity yesterday at the second pressconference of Alexey Vorobyov. He was offered a tshirt by a fan and instantly undressed which was much appreciated by the local press. It was also another good point to show why Alexey is set to win the title of sexiest man in this years Eurovision.

Things now hotting up in the arena as the semi 2 finalists strut their stuff on the stage for their 2nd rehearsals. Each entrant will sing their song 3 to 4 times in their allotted half hour of rehearsal time with their respective delegations watching eagerly to iron out any mistakes made! Well, I guess now's the time to do that!! Anyway, Drew & Tam are at arena side and here are our thoughts on some of them so far!

Last tuesday, Alexey Vorobyov, this years Russian entry in the Eurovision Songcontest took the opportunity on his free day to go Belgium for a promotional visit. He was a special guest in the popular live tv-show 'Studio TVL' on the belgian channel TV-Limburg giving an extensive interview and performing his eurovision entry Get You in the special version which will normally be performed only at the Eurovision. So the belgian channel had a real exclusivity!

Next to the tv-show, National Newspaper 'Het Belang van Limburg' interviewed Alexey for its edition of 10th May, the day of the first semifinal. Also two radiointerviews, amongst the most popular independant Radio in the Province of Limburg, were conducted. The general feeling of the day was extremely well, having several radiostations putting Alexey's song on rotation and continuously more press attention.

Alexey meets Emmy from Armenia

On tuesday evening, Alexey Vorobyov from Russia met with Armenian's entry Emmy at their Hotel in Dusseldorf. Both delegations got along very well and the meeting ended up in a live session with Alexey playing on the piano with both Emmy and Alexey performing several songs. Both were enjoying this a lot and the atmosphere was absolutely great.

From Georgian party pictures

The boys and girl from Moldova took time out yesterday to take a trip to Koln.

They visited the biggest music store in Europe but they are moving to a different place today so didn't manage to buy anything too much as everything is packed. They also didn't find what they were looking for;-((

The afternoon was spent walking through the old town of Koln, singing in the streets and generally having the best time relaxing with the local Germans. They had lunch in a great restaurant by the river/waterfront and sampled the local beer. Obviously this was just perfect!

Final stop on the tour was a visit to the cathedral, which they found really cool, but the ice-cream in the cafe by the cathedral was much better;-))
