So France.......

Really we totally get why this is the fav, it's great, well staged and the team really seem to be going for it this year BUT really will operatics win at Eurovision, notorious that it is for dilly-dolly-anna-silly-a-long-a-max songs that we know and love.....

We will see

the last of semi 2 and the BIG 5 rehearse!!

Sweden

From Sweden 2nd rehearsal

After the small drama of Eric's glass box not imploding properly at the end of yesterday, Sweden were first up to do their 2nd rehearsal and there were a few nervous tech guys around we can tell you.. however, at the end of the day all went to plan and Eric gave a fabulous performance with lots of flashing lights. The lights at times were a bit over powering and makes it difficult to concentrate on Eric. However, this was an assured performance although Drew thinks it is a bit too gimmicky!

Cyprus

From Cyprus 2nd rehearsal

The swaying stage performance which parallels the swaying LED balls is very impressive and effective. The ball swinging girl on the cat walk provides a distraction which allows the dancers on the stage to get out of their swaying boot apparatus. He has a good voice and Drew really likes this... Tam thinks it's okay and that it should qualify but may just struggle.

Bulgaria

From Bulgaria 2nd rehearsal

Big rock chick number.... performed very well by Poli Genova. Could struggle to qualify in this tough semi.

FYROM

From macedonia 2nd rehearsal

Both loved the traditional russian dancers but that is where our agreement ends. Tam does not like this but Drew loves this! Drew thinks this is very well staged and performed and it is a catchy little number. Vlatko performs confidently too which helps! Could it have done better in English? We shall see!

Israel

Updates from the Russians....

As reported before, Alexey Vorobyov went last tuesday to Belgium for a one day promotion trip. Now the tv performance on the live aternoonshow 'Studio TVL' at TV-Limburg can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vq2lDUQ4uY&feature=channel_video_title

The performance was again live as that is the only way the russian singer wants to perform.

Partytime in Dusseldorf with Alexey Vorobyov

Last night several parties took place in the city of Dusseldorf. For sure the price of the best party is to be given to the dutch delegation as they organised a party on the Royal Crown ship in attendance of many participants and of course the dutch entry 3Js. Alexey Vorobyov could not be missed on the boat since the dutch group has said before the russian entry is one of their favourites. Alexey gave a splendid live performance after which we headed shortly to the Bosnia and Herzegovina party to end up at the Euroclub for the OGAE party.
