| Constantinos Christoforou will
represent Cyprus with the his own composition Ela ela, which is featuring Elena Patroklou
(Cyprus 1991) on back-vocals. Show was hosted by Tasos Trifonos and Eleni Manousaki, guest stars were Ruslana, Evridiki (Cyprus 1992, 1994), and Dimitris Corgialas. They along with Daphne Bokota, Evi Papamichael, Sokratis Soumelas and Nikos Nikolaou formed jury of the contest. Constantinos already was Cypriot Eurovision representative in 1996, finishing 9th with 72 points, and in 2002 as member of the band One, finished 6th with 85 points. |

On April 17-18, within the
frameworks of mutual promo tours between countries-participants of “Eurovision-2005”
on invitation of Belteleradiocompany Cyprian participant Constandinos Christoforou is
visiting Belarus. He will perform his own song “Ela Ela”. Constandinos Christoforou represented Cyprus at “Eurovision” back in 1996 and was 9th with 72 points; in 2002 as a member of “One” band he was 6th with 85 points. During the meeting with mass media representatives, organized by Belteleradiocompany, the singer reminded that Cyprus has been participating in “Eurovision” since 1991 and never left top ten. “We have a dream to enter the top three and this year I will try to reach this goal. I have some experience of performing at “Eurovision” and know well what to do in order to win,” said the singer. Concerning the contest song, Constandinos Christoforou noted that it is a rhythmic dance composition with ethnic elements in lyrics and music. It was written last December as well as 3 other songs especially for the national qualifying of “Eurovision-2005”. “Ela Ela” means “Come Baby” in Greek, said the singer. - My song calls to all people who love to give themselves away to the beautiful feeling”. During staying in Minsk Constandinos Christoforou took part in a number of TV and radio shows and gave several interviews. He was really impressed by the main avenue of the city and Victory Plaza. Cyprian singer already visited Israel, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Serbia & Montenegro. He will also visit Great Britain, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia and Russia. Constandinos Christoforou marked hospitality of Belarusians and noted that was going to visit Belarus again before leaving to Kiev. |

| Constantinos was born in the town
of Limassol, in Cyprus. At the age of seventeen, he became the first Cypriot artist to
achieve triple platinum sales, with an album that was recorded in Cyprus and not in Athens
where the core of the music industry is located. Within a very short time he became a big star in his home island. In 1996 he represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway with the ballad ‘Mono gia mas’ (Only for us) which reached the 9th place. After Eurovision he started his career in Greece. His first collaboration was with Greece’s biggest stars, Anna Vissi and Sakis Rouvas. In 1999 he accepted the proposal from the famous Cypriot composer, George Theofanous, to be the lead singer in the first boy-band of Greece, ONE. ONE became very popular and commercially successful in Greece and Cyprus and they reached platinum sales. In 2002 Konstantinos was again in the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn, Estonia, as the leader singer of ONE representing Cyprus with the song ‘Gimme’ and reaching the 6th place. In September 2003, Constantinos started his solo career with the album ‘H Agapi Sou Paei’ (‘Love Becomes You’). He immediately reached No. 1 in the Greek airplay charts and the album reached gold sales in Cyprus. On that album he had a duet with superstar Anna Vissi, on a song which became a big hit. Constantinos is also a very successful songwriter and lyricist and he has composed songs for the most famous Greek singers. In September 2004 he released his second solo album ‘Idiotiki Parastasi’ (‘Private Show’). The album became gold in Cyprus immediately and is a huge radio hit in Greece. |
