Israeli Partry

Israel through up a magnificent party at Euroclub tonight. I heard about it a lot and was expecting a lot as well. Many rumours say that it's one of the most interesting parties held in Euroclub, so I decided to join it with Samira. It all started at about 10 pm. So, we arrived and we were offered fresh orange juice at the entrance. That was a good start! The disappointing thing was that a lot of non-accredited people were let in as well, so there was not enough air to breeze. Because of that I literary wanted to die.

Participants from Israel (of cause), Malta, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Switzerland and Iceland were entertaining public which was very happy to see the contestants. Many nice foods were served - couscous, veggies, fruits, pastry and sweets up to everyone's taste. And again - there were loads of people queuing up for food so it was impossible to try anything. And that was the only and the biggest minus of the party.

In general, I have very positive emotions and impressions but I wouldn't have liked to repeat it again. Soon after 2 am Samira and I left home to relax at long last as tomorrow we have some spare time and no need to get up early.

Fashion show in EuroVillage

We had a chance today to see the opening ceremony of the Eurovision Village at the City Hall Square with a unique show idea FASHION FOR EUROPE. The idea is about designers and brands from many different participating countries building bridges through fashion.

In total it took 1.5 hours to present 14 brand: Agnesa Vuyhaj (Albania), Sinoian (Armenia), Lena Hoschek (Austria), Fakhriya Khalafova (Azerbaijan), Bernard Depoorrter (Belgium), Ivana Helsinki (Finland), Atelier Michalsky (Germany), Galia Lahav (Israel), Calzedonia (Italy), Daili (Lithuania), Sanja Matijevic (Montenegro), Blessus by Michael Hekmat (Poland), Adelina Ivan (Romania), Julian Zigerli (Switzerland).

Montenegro-Second rehearsal

CostasP on Sat, 05/16/2015 - 10:52

Montenegro is on and it seems they are going all Zeljko with this. They start of in a "Lane Moje" way with the camera on the violinist, a blue backdrop with stars and a wave-like floor. The song gradually gets more powerful and the backdrop becomes red. There's even some dancing towards the end which totally fits the song.Vocally perfect and big applause from the press room.
I expected them to qualify anyway but i am even more sure after this performance.

Montenegro Second Rehearsal: Knez - Adio

Knez and Montenegro have just had their second rehearsal on the stage. A few days back they gave a very strong and solid first rehearsal, which for me personally was actually one of the highlights of the day.

Today is no different. Again nothing has actually changed in terms of lightning and backdrop. We still have the overal dark blue mountain backdrop, and the intertwined red lightning that comes in from the second verse onwards.

It's quite a dark atmosphere, especially as Knez and his backings are also dressed in black, but you know what it works. It's absolutely picture perfect

Strong visually and pitch perfect performance for Knez. Adio seems like a definite qualifier to me, and if it does, its going straight for a top ten finish, if not better, in the final.

Montenegro - 2nd Rehearsal

Here's Knez on stage and his performance is getting better and better all the time. I start thinking that I quite like the song whereas before I had totally different views. You see a star, a talent, a professional, an actor. And this is a lot already because some singers this year lack at least one of these vital qualities.
Well done, Knez!

Montenegro First Rehearsal: Knez - Adio

Just like San Marino, Montenegro's qualification result was pretty poorly. But that changed last year when they finally managed to qualify with one of their biggest superstars.

I'm really hoping they keep up the trend, because just like last year, Montenegro are opting to send one of their biggest stars to the contest with a corker of an ethno-ballad. And not just any ethno-ballad, but one composed by Mr Eurovision from the balkans Zeljko Joksimovic.

Montenegro are delivering a very simplistic but elegant package, which especially in the beginning very much reminds me of a similar staging Zeljko himself had in 2004 when he represented the unified country Serbia&Montenegro at their debut.

Overall the performance is pretty dark, with blue, black and red being the overpowering colours in the performance. There's plenty of dramatics in the hand movements of the backing vocals too.
It's a solid performance, elegant and unique in its genre.

It should be easy for Montenegro to qualify for the second year in a row. If they do (and they will), they could well set the top ten on fire coming May 23.

Montenegro, Dix Points.

Montenegro - First Rehearsal

A very professional and well thought over performance. There are 5 backing vocals/dancers on the stage as well, dressed up in black. The effects are fascinating and bringing the right atmosphere to the audience.

Although the performance was excellent I have no idea if the qualify for the final. To some it might seem a bit plain...

Good luck Knez!
