 Denis Midone will
represent Moldova at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with "Toate vor fi/All will
be fine" written by composer Marian Starcea and lyricist Radmila Popovici-Paraschiv. Denis was born in Petah-Tikva (Israel) on 14 June 2002, and now is in his fourth year of studies at the Romanian-Spanish lyceum “Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra” in Chisinau. He’s the member of the vocal ensemble “Do-Re-Michi” of the children and youth creativity centre “Ghiocel” (art-director Marchela Gylke, vocal coach Kristina Scarlat). Denis started to take part in music contests before he went to school. He is a prize winner of the contest “Ploaia Stelutelor” (Chisinau, Moldova, 2009) and the Second Prize winner at the International Children Festival “Sozopol Panorama” (Bulgaria, 2009). Denis was a participant and presenter of the festival on occasion of the International Child Protection Day (Chisinau, 2010). The pool of awards of the young performer includes: - Diploma at the International Art Festival “Lake Pearls” (Struga, Macedonia, 2010) - Third Prize at the International Festival-Contest “Sanremojunoir” (Italy, 2010); - First Prize at the Contest “Vedete, Vedete” (Chisinau, 2010); - Second Prize at the International Festival-Contest of the World Talents held under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Moldova “Little Prince” (Chisinau, 2011); - Grand Prix at the music contest “Ploaia de Stele” (Chisinau, Moldova, 2012); - Diploma at the International Festival "Vitebsk" (Slavianskiy Bazar) (Belarus, 2012) (day1, day2) |

Hi, Denis! Our congratulations to the fact that you have become the representative of
Moldova at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest! Please, introduce yourself to us? - Hello. Thank you for your congratulations. About myself I can tell you this: my name is Denis Midone. I am 10 years old. I was born in Israel and now live in Moldova. Currently I'm a pupil of 4th class of Romanian-Spanish Lyceum "Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra." From the age of 6 I'm soloist of vocal ensemble "Do Re Michi" lead by artistic director Marcela Golca. - What was your first thought when you realized that you won the competition? - I still do not realize that I was the winner in this contest. Of course, I am very happy. - What do you think, what helped you the most to succeed? - I could become first due to the hard work, in which have contributed all of those who worked on this song, as well as my vocal coach and my parents. - How did the idea to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest appear? - The idea of participation has not come as of sudden. I've been dreaming about participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for a long time. This year I turned 10 and my dream came true. - And how was your song created, whether you took part in its creation? - This beautiful song was written by the composer and poet Marian Starcea and lyricist Radmila Popovici-Paraschiv. Also in its creation took active part arranger Octavian Cotet and vocal teacher Lyudmila Lozhkina. I also made a small contribution, writing a few sentences, which were then processed into a song. - What is your song about? - My song is about dreams and dreamers. The fact that you have to believe in yourself, in your dream and strive for it with all your heart. I sing that there is time for everything and that the world would be better if we keep in our souls a drop of childhood. I sing about flowers and the sky, the sun and the stars, and that if you listen to your heart, a miracle will happen. - What are your plans for the competition? Who is working with you as a vocal coach and choreographer? - I have rather huge plans, but above all it is work, work and work again. As a vocal coach Lyudmila Lozhkina is working with me, and as a choreographer - Oksana Supostat. - Can you please introduce to us the guys, who will perform with you on stage? - With me on stage will be two two backing singers Paula Paraschiv and Alena Sorochina. Also, participants of my show are members of show-ballet "Space" Valeria, Vitalia and Alexander. - Tell us how the shootings of a music video for your song were conducted? - The video was shot in my class and in the National Park. The weather was perfect and the shooting went great. All my classmates took part in the shootings. - Have you watched past JESCs, whether you liked any songs? - I always watched JESCs closely. I really liked the contest winner in 2009 Ralf Mackenbach "Click Clack", and the song of the winner in 2010 Vladimir Arzumanyan "Mama". I also liked the performances of my compatriots Stefan Roscovan and Lerika. - Are you interested to find out who will be your rivals in Amsterdam, whether you follow the news of the contest, do you plan in advance to listen to all the songs? - I am very interested to know participants of the contest in Amsterdam. Do you want to win or the aim is different? - As any participant in the contest I would like to win, but it all depends on how I will sing. A lot of things can happen. - Do you like to take part in competitions? Which one do you remember the most? - Yes, I like to take part in competitions, and not just music. It is always a sea of emotions, a lot of acquaintances with celebrities. Most of all I liked my first competition - "San Remo Junior" in Italy. And "Slavic Bazaar" where I got autographs from many Russian pop stars, including Lev Leshchenko. - What your repertoire is mostly made of? Do you have many original songs in it? - My repertoire consists mostly of pop music covers, but I do have a few original songs. - Do you have any idols, or just your favorite artists? What styles of music do you prefer? - My favorite artists are Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Alessandro Safina, Whitney Houston, Dima Bilan. But my main idol is Alexander Rybak. I was even able to sing in a concert, in which he was involved. - Tell us how looks like your typical day? What do you usually do? What you do in your spare time? - My typical day - is going to school, voice lessons and rehearsal in the ensemble. I come home at 20.00 and have to do my homework. Unfortunately, I have very little spare time. But when there is some, I play football in the yard with other kids. - Do you already feel like a celebrity, are you recognized on streets? - I do not feel like a celebrity, I need a lot of work before this. But I'm recognized on streets, and I confess to you honestly I am very pleased with that. - Do you think it will be hard to combine contest preparation and studies? - Combining the contest preparation and studies is very hard, but I am being helped by my teacher, my sister and my mother. - In general, do you like to study? What are your favorite subjects in school? - Very much. I am an excellent pupil. My favorite subjects are Romanian and Spanish, mathematics and history. "I can assure you that Moldova would have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest
this year, even if it we were not able to finance any backing singers, dancers and
decorations. We want to show ourselves worthy in the eyes of Europe and the world" -
told the art director of the representative of Moldova, composer Marian Starcea. According
to him, Denis has a chance to win the first place. "I think our song is one of the
most successful and, in my opinion, deserves to be among the first," - said the
composer. At the press conference, he also said that some participants of the national qualifying round from the beginning set a goal to prevent Denis from going to Eurovision. Moreover, Marian Starcea said that also sponsors that were approached by parents of Denis gave no answer. "The significance of this competition was understated. Through own ties some people have attempted to convince others that we do not deserve this financial support. We applied to several sponsors, but we were ignored," - said the composer. Denis Midone's mother Larissa said that she had to give for the trip of her son the money that were set aside for her course of radiotherapy. "Preparations were going very difficult. We wanted all the kids to fly to Amsterdam by plane, but now some of them have to go there by bus. We had hoped for more, and we are sorry that there are bad people who put in front of us so many obstacles," - she said. Посредством собственных связей были предприняты попытки убедить кого-то, что мы не заслуживаем этой финансовой поддержки. Мать Дениса Лариса Мидоне рассказала, что на поездку сына отдала деньги, которые были отложены на необходимый ей курс лучевой терапии. "Подготовка проходила с трудом. Apropo magazine has published interview with mother of Denis Midone - Larisa. Denis was born in Israel. "My husband had a work contract there, so I
stayed a while with him. But after our son was born I decided to go back", explains
Larisa Midone, mother of Denis. The first song he sang was "Numai iubirea", of
Pepe. At that time he was only two years old. Now the boy is in the fourth grade and his
passions are music and foreign languages, especially English and Spanish. "He is
responsible and diligent child and pupil at school. He really loves to read, especially
historical books and encyclopedias. Among his favorite subjects are science and
math", says mother of Denis. Besides school Denis goes to the vocal lessons, which
run three times a week. "But now, because we are in the midst of preparations for the
contest, Denis is now singing every day". She noted that participation in Eurovision was the great
dream of her son and that he has been waiting to reach the right age to be able to enter
the competition. In the performance of Denis at the national preselection, he made a
mistake, and parents have lost hope of seeing his son winning. "We believe in our
son's talent, but then I thought this time he has missed the chance to go to
Amsterdam", mother explains. Anyway, it turned out differently. |

A lot of local performers have attended the show and performed for free, so that all profits from the concert can be used in Junior Eurovision campaign of the young Moldovan singer. According to calculations of his family, good preparations require at least 20 thousand Euros, and as there was not enough of interest from sponsors, doing the concert was considered to be best thing in fund raising campaign. | Last weekend, Moldovan entrant Denis Midone has been special guest
of Junior show Ring Star on TRM. "It all started as a joke. We were returning back
from "Slavic Bazaar" and composer Marian Starcea has approached us and proposed
to participate in Junior Eurovision. Two weeks after, he called us again and told that the
song is ready. When I heard the song, I said - it is mine, and I will not give it to
anyone else. We thought it's a new opportunity to move forward", says young singer.
His father, Nicolae Midone adds that Denis is just 10 years old, but they thought this
experience is worth of trying. "When we learnt that we've been chosen for Amsterdam,
we went very happy, but in next few days realized that the costs are enormous and we have
to get money for preparations from somewhere". "Yes, we were very excited",
says Denis, "My mother cried and pupils at school didn't believe me, until they saw
videos and interviews on TV. It was like living a dream, I'm now big star in school and
I'm asked a lot for the autographs". Denis also spoke about his typical day in the life: "I wake up at 7am, at 10 I have singing and dancing lessons, then dinner, and then school stydies. I have no weekends. Even though now I have vacation from school, I have a schedule even more tight than when I have school lessons. There is only one month left before the contest, and we still have to do a lot of preparations". Dance coach of Denis says he is a diligent boy: "I'm very pleased with him, he is very obedient. He strives to make everything better. He has excellent memorable song so I think he will represent his country with honour at Junior Eurovision". Lyricist of the song, Radmila Popovici-Paraschiv says Denis has very high level for 10 years and will get a good result. "The song was born on one peaceful morning, I woke up and listened to my heart. When I presented it to Marian Starcea, he told me, it is a good song for the contest. I didn't know that the kid is just 10 years old, so we have to do some adjustments to it. But I'm glad that his face with feckles and blue eyes are giving us even more than we expected". On 12th of November, Denis will hold his concert "Toate vor fi", in which he will be supported by many stars of Moldovan music and show business. The concert will be produced by Marian Starcea. It will take place in the National Philarmonic on 12th of November at 18.30 local time. The concert may be broadcasted on TRM on a later date. |

мы были очень счастливы, но через несколько дней
поняли, что затраты на подготовку огромны, и нам

"Я просыпаюсь в 7 утра, в 10 у меня занятия по вокалу и танцам, потом обед, и потом я занимаюсь в школе. Выходных у меня нет. Даже если сейчас у меня каникулы в школе, у меня более напряженное расписание, чем в те дни, когда я хожу в школу. До конкурса остался всего один месяц, а нам еще многое надо сделать". Педагог по танцам говорит, что Денис очень прилежный мальчик: "Я очень доволен им, он очень послушный. Он стремится все сделать как можно лучше. У него отличная запоминающаяся песня, и я думаю, что он с честью представит свою страну на Детском Евровидении". Автор текста песни, Радмила Попович-Параскив говорит, что у Дениса очень высокий уровень для 10 лет и он получит очень хороший результат. "Песня родилась одним мирным утром, я проснулась и просто слушала свое сердце. Когда я показала ее Мариану Стырче, он сказал, что это подходящая песня для конкурса. Правда я не знала, что исполнителю всего 10 лет и пришлось внести в песню несколько изменений. Но я рада, что его лицо с веснушками и голубые глаза дают нам даже больше, чем мы ожидали". 12го ноября Денис проведет свой концерт "Toate vor fi", в котором его поддержат многие звезды молдавской музыки и шоу-бизнеса. Продюсером концерта выступит Мариан Стырця. Он состоится в Национальной Филармонии 12го ноября в 18.30 местного времени. Возможно, концерт будет показан на TRM в более позднюю дату. |

Midone will represent Moldova at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with "Toate vor
fi/All will be fine" written by composer Marian Starcea and lyricist Radmila
Popovici-Paraschiv. The song can be heard here on TRM
site or above (in full Romanian and English versions and billingual). At the contest
the song is expected to be performed in billingual version, as at the national final. Denis has gained the total of 48.5 points from the members of jury: Georgeta Voinovan, Vlad Mircos, Natali Toma and Adrian Ursu gave him maximum of 10 points, and Ion Chiorpec - 8,5 points. |

Representative of Moldova at Junior Eurovision 2012 will be decided tomorrow on 5th of
October, during the internal live selection at TRM studio. Six entrants will be judged by
panel of five juries, whose names will also be revealed tomorrow. The winner is expected
to be announced around 15.30 CET. After the winner is declared, the results will be published on TRM website along with the videos of the performances. Though broadcaster has decided not to air the preselection live on TV, the performances and other information on preparations to Junior Eurovision will also be broadcasted in weekly program "Ring Star" special sometime in November. |

определен завтра, 5го декабря, во время
внутреннего прослушивания, которое пройдет в
студии ТРМ. Выступления шести конкурсантов
оценят пять членов жюри, чьи имена также станут
известны завтра. Ожидается, что победитель будет
объявлен около 17.30 времени Москвы. После того, как станет известно имя победителя, на сайте ТРМ будут опубликованы результаты голосования и видеозаписи выступлений. Хотя вещатель принял решение не транслировать отбор в прямом эфире на телевидении, выступления с него и другая информация о подготовке будет показана в специальном выпуске еженедельной программы "Ring Star" ориентировочно в ноябре. |

Moldovan broadcaster TRM has confirmed ESCKAZ that it will take part in the Junior
Eurovision 2012. After lengthy negotiations, it has been decided that TRM will participate
in JESC for the 3rd time. Last year's representative of Moldova, Lerika, will this year
perform for Russian Federation. The information on the way Moldovan participant 2012 will
be chosen, will become available shortly. TRM has currently invited any interested performers to apply with their entries. Preliminary deadline has been set on September 10th. There will be preselection, but it is currently unknown whether it will be televized. |

Детском Евровидении 2012. После длительных
переговоров, было решено, что ТРМ в третий раз
выступит в детском конкурсе. Прошлогодняя
представительница Молдовы, Лерика, в этом году
представит Российскую Федерацию. Каким образом
будет выбран представитель Молдовы на конкурсе
2012 станет известным в ближайшее время. ТРМ пригласила всех заинтересованных исполнителей отправлять заявки на участие. Предварительно крайним сроком назначено 10 сентября. После этого будет проведен отбор, но на сегодня не известно пройдет ли он в телевизионном формате. |
