| Senna
Sitalsing is 11 years old (born 06/10/99) coming from Groningen. Senna is pupil of Boerhaave school (group 8, teacher Esther). For
several years she has been practicing vocal and among others her vocal coach was Jojanneke Vanderveen. Senna took part in Kinderen
voor Kinderen festival 2008/09 with "Als een meeuw boven zee"
after winning regional preselection of Groningen. Senna's hobbies are field hockey as well
as dancing and her favourite singer is Beyonce. Senna's father is Twente police chief Martin Sitalsing, who is originally from Suriname. She has two elder sisters and younger brother. Anna Lagerweij is also 10 years old (born 24/07/00), coming from Paterswolde which is approximately 8 km away from Groningen. Anna is studying in Ter Borch school, group 7. Anna's hobbies are playing violin, field hockey, horse riding, and favourite artist is Justin Bieber. In 'My Family' Anna plays her bright pink violin that was specially made for her. Anna has been taking violin lessons for three years now and her great example is none other than the Dutch violinist Janine Jansen. Anna is newcomer on TV, before she only took part in small concerts playing violin (for example at Haydn Muziek Festival 2009).
Girls have written their entry "My Family" themselves, while it has been produced by Tjeerd Oosterhuis (who also changed lyrics from Familie adding several English words), previously responsible for entry of Tess "Stupid" in JESC 2005 and winning entry "Click Clack" of Ralf. He also was one of 3 jury members in auditions 2010. One of first public performances of "Familie" took place in April 2010 before the live auditions for the national final that took place in May. | - Hi, Senna & Anna, and first of all our
congratulations for winning Dutch Junior Songfestival! What were your first thoughts when
you realized you are the winners of the competition? S&A: We couldn't even realize it at first. We were very happy and could hardly believe it. - Let's do it differently, can you introduce each other in one sentence? S: Anna is bright and cheerful and may very well play on the violin A: Senna is always smiling, she is very sweet and can sing very well - Do you spend a lot of time together, as you're living in differential towns? S&A: Yes, especially now that we are working with the preparations for the Eurovision, as now we go everywhere together, and as we go everywhere from the north of Groningen we often have to sit for a long time together in the car. - Are you arguing a lot? S&A: No, we sometimes have small discussions, but we never really fight. - Can you tell us about the creation story of the song? Who has helped you with it? S&A: We were just going to try, and the result was very nice. First we made the lyrics and then the melody. When the song was finished, the father of Anna helped us to put chords in it. Then, at JSF, Tjeerd Oosterhuis has brought some changes, and the chorus was translated into English. The sound was also changed a lot, and now it is going to sound more European. - Who is your vocal coach and choreographer of your entry? S&A: Now we're attending dance classes of Lucia Marthens and vocal lessons of Babette Labeij, as most of previous Dutch Junior Eurovision entrants. Anna also receives violin lessons from Carolyn van Gemert. - How will you present your entry visually on stage? Will it be similar performance as at the national final, or are there plans to add any visual effects for the international audience to understand your song better? S&A: We're going to try to improve something, to do it even better, but mostly it will remain the same. - Also can you introduce the dancers, who accompanied you? S&A: Felicia, Eva, Naomi and Genieva. They are really nice and it is a fun working with them, as they can present the very beautiful dance. Modern, but also during the act they do some classic. So it is really cute! - What is your plan of preparations for the contest? S&A: We're going to practice a lot with our own performance. Taking vocal and dance lessons, Anna is also working on violin. Anna also wants to learn playing on her violin the Belarusian anthem, and we're also getting tutoring in English. - Can you tell us, what is your basic day looks like? What activities do you usually have? S: As everyone I go to school every day and twice a week I go for hockey training and we have a hockey game every Saturday. Also, I take dance classes once a week with my friends. School lessons I usually do with one of my friends. Very often with Lili, she also is coming to see our performance to Belarus. I think that's super cool. A: Well, I also go to school daily, and have same program for hockey games. My best friend is Sophie and we play very often after school. I will continue twice a week going to a violin teacher Carolyn. On Wednesday, I have individual lessons and group lessons on Thursday. And I also have a weekly riding lessons. - Is it difficult to combine studies in school with contest preparation? S: Yes, because sometimes we do not have much time for our homework. A: Yes, sometimes my schedule is very packed. Luckily I have less homework because I'm still in grade 7. - What are the advices you've received from your relatives or friends for your travel to Minsk? S: We've got a lot of presents such as luck-dolls etc. Furthermore, I've been told take warm clothes with me. A: Yes, to bring clothes and because I have fear of flying, take a book on the plane so I have some distraction. - Do you have some favorite entries from the past years of the JESC? S: Yes, Laura's entry from last year was really nice. A: I also like a lot Bram's song from last year's Junior Songfestival, it was very cute. - Are you interested to find who will represent other countries in the contest, will you listen to the other competing entries prior to departure to Minsk? S: Yes, I have heard a couple. For example, the one of Belgium. A: I have heard most of the songs. They are all very nice. - What is your aim for the contest? Are you going to win it, or simply have good time and make new friends? S&A: Of course it would be nice to win but we do it for fun and adventure. - Senna, you have been taking part in Kinderen voor Kinderen, what are your memories from this show? S: I think that was real fun but I was only 8 and if I see the performance from the show again I find myself very shy. - Anna, you have been mostly active as violinist, is it the first time for you to appear both as violinist and singer? A: Yes, and I really enjoy doing this. But I can only take turns, and not play violin and sing simultaneously. - What are your plans after contest? Do you plan to record some more songs together as duet? S: Yes, that would be super fun. We are already writing songs. I already have a draft prepared and the father of Anna wants to help us. A: Yes, we sure will do! - If you have anything to add to the readers, you can do it now. S&A: We would like to thank all who in recent times helped and sympathized us. At school, hockey, friends. And of course our 'Family'. We really thank you so much! | Live 18/09 First semifinal of Junior Songfestival will take place
tonight in The Netherlands, broadcasted live at 19.00 CET on Z@pp/Nederland3. It will be
repeated on 22nd of September at 15.01 and 25th of September at 14.35 as well as will be

right after the show. In the first semifinal Phoebe & Stijn, Rosa, Caylee and Donny will compete for the two places in final. Adult jury of Stacey Rookhuizen, Jamai and Yes-R and Kids jury, which will be made of finalists of the last year show, as well as public vote (0909-885x, or sms junior x to 5200) will decide on the winning acts. videos of Junior Songfestival entries on it's website. Moreover, you can also win
performing those entries a singned JSF CD or tickets to the live shows. Being available
since August 10th exlcusively through AVRO webshop
(for 14.99 Euros), the official CD of the preselection (that includes also karaoke
versions of all entries and joint song "Famous"),
since tomorrow, 10th of September, will become available in different internet shops as
mp3 download, such as musicload.de,
amazon

Mackenbach to be released on September 24. Official hyves
page of the singer has changed it's design to celebrate this and to give an idea how
the album will look like. Keep an eye on www.ralfclub.nl as from September 17 every day you will be able to get a sneak preview of the songs from the album. On 29th of August at 15.02 CET Nederland 3 will air Back in Time program about Ralf. Ralf For Real programs have been nominated on Gouden Stuiver award and you can vote for them here.

| 06/08 Tickets for Dutch Junior Songfestival will go on sale
tomorrow, on 7th of August on AVRO
website and Ticketpoint. While you're
awaiting for the tickets, you may check blogs of participants on official JSF Hyves page (in Dutch). Direct link to purchase tickets is here. Both semis and national final will take place in TV studio in Baarn. Doors will open at 18.00, while shows will run from 19.00 to 20.00 as it was announced earlier. Cost of tickets for semifinals is Euro 15, and for the final Euro 20. However, with reservation and site charges the actual price one will pay may rise to Euro 27. |

broadcaster AVRO has published new official photos
of Junior Songfestival 2010 participants (backstage video of the
photoshoot), as well as new introduction
videos of them. Meanwhile, AVRO invites to complete Junior Songfestival survey (in Dutch) in order to help to produce better show. Among the questions asked will be how you take the new presenter Ewout Genemans, new air time 18.00-19.00, 8 participants rather than 10, the fact that music professionals are allowed to help in creation of the songs, a proposal to use instead of regular children jury - kinderVAK jury made of ex-participants of previous years and other questions. |

| Semifinalists
of the Dutch Junior Eurovision preselection have been named today. Through series of
castings 8 entries have been chosen from around 1500 submissions by jury made of dance
coach Lucia Marthas and music producers Tjeerd Oosterhuis and Tjeerd van Zanen (news report). First round of castings toop part on May 9 in Hilversum with 86 candidates (plus 2 online wildcards), 2nd round (32 candidates) on May 16th in theater Singer in Laren. Several of artists have experience in Dutch musicals: Donny, Pip, Merel & Quinty as well as Phoebe & Stijn in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Donny and Merel also in Ciske de Rat. Senna, Darcey and Merel took part in Kinderen voor Kinderen songfestival. Darcey also was winner of Jetix Mega Talent. The semifinals will be on 18 and 25 September and the final on 2 October. It appears that song of Mano "Ga niet meer weg"
has been available in the internet in it's demo version since March 2008 and
also is available in full on singer's hyves,
which is the breach of Junior Eurovision rules. |

участников были отобраны из около 1500 полученных
заявок профессиональным жюри, в которое вошли
преподаватель танцев Люсия Мартас и музыкальные
продюсеры Тьерд Оостеруис и Тьерд ван Занен (репортаж новостей). Первый раунд кастингов прошел 9го мая в Хилверсуме с участием 86 кандидатов (плюс 2 онлайн вайлдкарты), 2й раунд (32 кандидата) - 16го мая в театре Сингер в Ларене. Ряд артистов имеют опыт выступлений в голландских мюзиклах: Донни, Пип, Мерель и Квинти, а также Феб и Стийн в Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Донни и Мерель также в Ciske de Rat. Сенна, Дарси и Мерель принимали участие в фестивале Kinderen voor Kinderen. Дарси также была победительницей Jetix Mega Talent. Submission period for the Dutch preselection for Junior Eurovision 2010 has also started.
As in most other countries and unlike Belgium, only original never released songs are
being accepted. It is possible to submit entries both online and by post. The deadline is
April 16th and by May 1st the candidates for the first castings will be invited. Those who
is entering online also automatically join special competition, where two top ranked
candidates not invited by jury otherwise, will still be able to attend castings. It has also been announced that Ewout Genemans will replace Sipke Jan Bousema as host of the Junior Eurovision preselections in the Netherlands. He is known from AvaStars. "The Junior Song Contest is a dream program for me to present. A nice program where young talent are given a chance. I am very pleased that the AVRO gave me this chance and find it an honor to to take over Sipke Jan", he said. |

апреля и к 1 мая состоится приглашение кандидатов
на участие в первой стадии кастингов. Те, кто
подает заявку онлайн, автоматически становятся
участниками специального конкурса, где два
лучших участника также присоединятся к тем, кто
будет отобран для кастингов жюри. Также, объявлено, что новым ведущим национального отбора станет Евот Генеманс. Он известен по программе AvaStarts. "Детское Евровидение - это программа-мечта для ведущего. Это шоу, в котором могут проявить себя юные дарования.
