will be the first occasion when an Estonian Eurovision Song Contest entry hasn't been
performed either in the Estonian or English language. Leto Svet is performed maily in the
Serbo-Croatian language with parts of the song in the German and Finnish languages. Kreisiraadio (Crazy Radio) is an ultra-popular three-man team, who first met up in the city of Tartu. Having recognised each other’s hidden desires they immediately decided to crack some jokes. This is what they are still doing today! In April 1993, the trio started on the radio, continued on Estonian national television, and in many other places where people have tolerated them. They do not set limits in their activities and could care less about established practices. And this is why they have no competitors in Estonia, or if they do, these must be invisible competitors! Kreisiraadio has tried their hand at everything during their lifetime. They have performed in opera, conducted a symphonic orchestra and acted in films, not to even mention their countless TV and radio performances. All three men have cool children and beautiful homes in different areas of Tallinn. Look at the map! Kreisiraadio has a sub-fund named after it under the Estonian National Culture Fund. Kreisiraadio will soon publish a book and open a pub called Kreisiraadio. All three men are highly educated specialists. Hannes Vorno has a higher education in fashion design and is most widely known as a TV show host. For years, Hannes has been voted one of the best comperes around. He is the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? He has been a member of parliament and was recently awarded the rank of junior lieutenant by the President of the Republic of Estonia. Hannes is a reserve officer. Peeter Oja is a highly educated actor, who stopped working as an on-the-staff actor in the mid-80s and has enjoyed the joys and sorrows of a freelancer now for a couple of decades. Peeter is one of the hosts of the most viewed socially critical ridicule show on an Estonian commercial TV channel and the recognised author of widely commented newspaper articles. Tarmo Leinatamm is a highly educated conductor, whom the viewers of the 1996 and 1997 Eurovision Song Contest have seen conducting the orchestra. Tarmo also finds time to host TV shows – and already for about ten years. Tarmo has also been a member of parliament. All counted, he has nine professions. Kreisiraadio has been on the air for 15 years and no end is in sight. The men gather for action only when they can no longer help it and the longing for each other becomes unbearable. Thus they unsuspectingly ended up at the Eurovision Song Contest, or as people say in Estonia – Leto Svet! We wish the same to you, dear reader! |

эстонская песня на Евровидении прозвучит не на
эстонском или английском языке. Leto Svet
исполняется на сербско-хорватском, с частями на
немецком и финском языках. Группа Kreisiraadio (Сумашедшее радио) - очень популярное трио, которое собралось в городе Тарту. Узнав о желаниях друг друга они тут же решили начать шутить. И продолжают это делать до сих пор. В апреле 1993 года трио начало вести программу на радио и позднее продолжило на национальном телевидении. Они не ограничивают себя ни в чем и не уважают традиции. Поэтому, в Эстонии у них нет соперников, а если даже и есть - то они - невидимые! Kreisiraadio хотят попробовать все, что только возможно. Они пели в опере, дирижировали симфоническим оркестром и снимались в фильмах, не считая их участия в теле и радио программах. У всех троих участников есть дети и красивые дома в разных районах Таллинна. У них есть собственный фонд в Эстонском национальном культурном фонде. Скоро они планируют выпустить книгу и открыть собственный бар. Все три - дипломированные специалисты. Ханнес Ворно - имеет высшее образование в области дизайна одежды и наиболее известен как телеведущий. Он ведет шоу "Кто хочет стать миллионером" и ежегодно признается одним из лучших ведущих в Эстонии. Он был членом парламента и недавано получил звание младшего лейтенанта от президента Эстонии. Ханнес - офицер запаса. Пеетер Ойя - известный актер, который приостановил свою деятельность в труппах в середине 80х и с тех пор в течении нескольких десятилетий работает фрилансером. Петер - ведущий одного из социально-критических шоу на эстонском коммерческом канала и также известен как автор ряда газетных статей. Тармо Лейнатамм - дирижер, которого зрители конкурсов Евровидения 1996 и 1997 должны помнить как дирижера оркестра во время выступления участников из Эстонии. Тармо также ведет телешоу и делает это уже 10 лет. Тармо был и членом парламента - всего у него 9 различных профессий. Kreisiraadio вещает уже 15 лет и этому не видно конца. Они собираются вместе только тогда, когда уже не могут больше терпеть одиночества. Один из таких порыво закончился их участием в конкурсе песни Евровидение. Как говорят в Эстонии - Leto Svet! |

| Band
Kreisiraadio will represent Estonia at the Eurovision 2008 with "Leto svet".
Band members are Peeter Oja, Hannes Vorno and Tarmo Leinatamm. Their song was written
together with Priit Pajusaar and Glen Pilvre. Girls from Dance Art are performing as
backing dancers in presentation. Winner of the national selection has been determined via televoting. 96471 votes have been casted during superfinal of the national selection, and 52518 of them for the winning group. Reserve jury put on the first place entry by Iiris Vesik. You can listen to the winning song, performed by Serbian, German and Finnish here Right after the victory trio has moved to Belgium, to finalize details of anniversary tour of Kreisiraadio, which will start on 13th of April. |

Вырно и Тармо Лейнатамм. Конкурсную песню они
написали совместно с Прийт Паюсаар и Глен
Пильвре. В номере также принимают участие

| Estonian
broadcaster ETV has announced 10 finalists of Eurolaul, national selection. 5 songs were
selected from 58 received at open submission, and 5 were selected from invited composers
(Timo Steiner has witdrawn from competition). Jury: Toomas Puna, Alari Kivisaar, Allan
Roosileht, Andres Panksep, Ahto Kruusmann, Raul Saaremets, Olev Ehrlich, Ivan Makarov, Owe
Petersell, Koit Raudsepp and Sven Lohmus. The videos for the preview show have been filmed. 10 performances have been shot during very short period of time and will be broadcasted on Saturday, 26th of January on ETV. Unfortunately, one of the Kreisraadion members Hannes Vyrno was unable to attend shootings, however he should be back from Africa for the national final. Regular viewers of Eurovision should recognize some familiar faces in the competition. One of the members of SKA Faktor is Rebecca Kontus who performed with Suntribe at Eurovision 2005, while winner of Eurovision 2001 Dave Benton will perform backing vocals for Iiris Vesik. National selection final scheduled for 2nd of February will be hosted by Marko Reikop and singer Ines. You can listen to participating songs here |

национального отбора Eurolaul.
5 песен были выбраны их 58 поступивших заявок, а 5 -
написаны приглашенными композиторами (Тимо
Стеинер снял свою кандидатуру). Жюри отбора: Toomas
Puna, Alari Kivisaar, Allan Roosileht, Andres Panksep, Ahto Kruusmann, Raul Saaremets,
Olev Ehrlich, Ivan Makarov, Owe Petersell, Koit Raudsepp и Sven Lohmus. Прошли съемки клипов для ознакомительного шоу эстонского национального отбора на конкурс Евровидение. Десять выступлений были сняты в кратчайшее время. Как обычно, они выйдут в эфир в субботу 26го января на эстонском телевидении. К сожалению, на записи не смог присутствовать один из участников группы Kreisiraadio Ханнес Вырно, который однако, должен вернуться из Африки к прямому эфиру национального отбора. Постоянные зрители Евровидения увидят на конкурсе несколько знакомых лиц: Одна из участниц группы SKA Factor - Ребекка Контус, выступавшая на Евровидении 2005 в составе Suntribe, а победитель Евровидения 2001 Дэйв Бентон исполнит бэк-вокал для Иирис Весик.
