Party season gets in full swing…
Iceland invited selected members of the press to a reception at the ambassador’s residence no less. Of we all trotted on a sunny Thursday afternoon to some very very very expensive part of the Oslo suburbs. We had no idea where we were going, or what to expect…this was the first embassy reception Daniel and I had ever attended, we obviously were very excited and a HUGE thank you to Peter Fenner from the Iceland Delegation for inviting us…
Great food…free very nice wine, a reception in the garden and Hera playing that many Eurovision hits that we didn’t know whether to laugh or cry…and Hera FABULOUS shoes. We want them:-))))
Lots of people were there bopping around to the very well known song that she belted out. (inset name of Iceland performer 2001 here) was there. I asked if he would be interested in doing ESC again. As he is with a band now and they play a lot of rock he said that was maybe an option but with the band…hope so cos he was great.
Also a big shout out to the ambassador for hosting one of the best receptions that we have ever been too. Very swish, very posh and just perfect in every way:-)))))
Hera was on fine form…check the shoes…. she told us all that she just had to have them, her sister was there as well and we also asked about the “supposed” fall out with Frederick. This is complete B******CKS. They are friends, they argue, they fight but friends first and foremost…don’t believe all that you read on the Internet.
Great party….this is what ESC is all about for us…meeting the performers, having a civilised glass of wine (and vodka in the room later!!!) and listening to great music!!!! We are uploading a video of the slow version of the song....check later.....meanwhile enjoy the slideshow below:))
