old Femke Meines from Tuitjenhorn will represent The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2012
with song "Tik Tak Tik". It was written and composed by Femke Meines and her
father, local policeman Anne Kees Meines and finalized with the help of producer Tjeerd
Oosterhuis, who is also responsible for JESC 2009 winning entry "Click Clack". Femke was born on May 11th, 2000. "The most important thing entering Junior Songfestival was to have a real professional jury to speak about my voice and my song", said Femke before the show. "When I sing - I myself feel wonderful!", she says. Her hobbies are singing, dancing, skating, drawing, swimming and fooling around with her sister. At the weekend she practices in the dance school. "I really enjoy cooking and dressing / showering of my sister also. I do not like to wash dishes and to make my bed". Her favourite Junior Eurovision entrant is Rachel, whom she met already last year, and who was part of the kids jury this year, and also Lisa, Amy & Shelley. Femke's biggest fans are her classmates and her family. "I sing all day long - that drives my parents crazy sometimes", says Femke. "I also love chocolate". Her biggest dream is to be a famous singer. But when this goal will not be reached, she wants to become a hairdresser or maybe a maternity assistant. Because she believes time is going too fast, she wishes to freeze the time. Femke has the desires to do a million things like feeding the cat or taking the dog out for a walk, but the only thing she really wants is to stay forever young and never grow up. She’s enjoys the advantage of staying for the Contest in the Netherlands which means she doesn’t have to travel to another country because Femke has fear of flying. She is really looking forward to make a big party on the Eurovision stage and hopes that she can freeze the European time with her spectacular moving clock-act. |

Фемке очень нравится то, что ей не придется ехать в другую страну, а представлять Нидерланды на Детском Евровидении она будет у себя дома - потому что она боится летать на самолетах. Она с нетерпением ждет возможности организовать большую вечеринку на сцене Евровидения и надеется, что ей удастся заморозить Европейское время своим впечатляющим номером с часами. |

| - Hi, Femke, and first of all our congratulations for
winning Dutch Junior Songfestival! What were your first thoughts when you realized you are
the winner of the competition? - A lot…. Many things went through my mind. But when I realized I won I thought: YES!!!!!!!!. My goals were the to reach the live shows, but winning them… WOW!! - Can you introduce yourself in one sentence? - A down to earth and enthusiastic Dutch girl with a passion for music. - What is the message of your song? - That there is little time to do the things that you want because you have so much to do... - Can you tell us more about its creation, and who has helped you with it? - I wrote the song together with my father. He is also into music. When I walked across the playground with my father a little while ago, I wondered if he was sad that he could not go down the slide anymore. Then I realized that the time flies. I don’t go down that slide anymore myself. - What do you think helped you the most to achieve victory in Junior Songfestival? - I think my down to earthness. - And what is the most difficult thing for you in the stage performance? - The combination of dancing (the act) and singing - Whether a stage presentation at international JESC will be similar to the one you had in Junior Songfestival or there will be some changes brought for international audience? - It’s not definite yet, but I think It won’t change that much. The song is shortened a bit though. - What about your costumes, do you plan to keep them? - This is regulated by stylists, they know their profession. - What is your plan of preparations for the contest? Do you have to travel often for the rehearsals? - I’m going to rehearse the act a lot and further I have my singing- and dancing lessons. I do not need to travel often for the rehearsals. I will stay in a hotel with my parents during Junior Eurovision week. - Who are your vocal coach and choreographer of your entry? - My choreographers are Noor and Andrew. My singing coach is Robbin - Can you introduce your stage team, the backing performers who accompany you? - Yes, these are: Sarah, Isabelle, Lakyscha and Dalya. They are really sweet and great dancers. - Has participation in the show already changed your life? Are you usually recognized on streets? - Yes, it did! I’m busy at the moment with fun stuff. I get often recognized in the streets - What are your feelings that JESC is organized in Amsterdam, so you will act as hosting entrant? - I like it, because I am afraid to fly. I’m glad we stay in the Netherlands. - Are you interested to find who will represent other countries in competition; will you listen to the other competing entries? - Yes, I saw all of them, they all are very different but really good. - And what is your aim for the contest? Are you going to win it, or simply have good time and make new friends? - I've already won ... my goal was to get into the live shows and that has happened. That I can represent Netherlands now is a great honor. I'm going to make sure my act will be spectacular! And of course it seems very nice to have contact with the other candidates. - Can you tell us, how your basic day looks? What activities do you usually have? - Going to school, dancing, singing, doing homework, meet with friends and write songs with my dad. - Is it difficult to combine contest preparation with studies in school? - So far so good… it will be busier later on. - Do you like studying? What are your favorite subjects? - Yes, I enjoy going to school, Crafts, music and spelling are my favorite subjects. Furthermore I like that I see my friends every day. - Have you been recording any new songs? - Together with my father and other musicians, I am busy recording and writing new songs. We’re doing something very special that everyone will like, but that’s a surprise!!! - What are your plans after contest? Do you want to become professional singer? - Yes, I would love to continue singing but if that does not work ... I want to do something in the healthcare business. - If you have anything to add to the readers, you can do it now. - I'm looking forward to December 1st, although I am not very busy with it right now. Dutch broadcasted AVRO has published "In Da House" video of Femke. In it Femke
gives a tour of her home. Meet her sisters, father, one of her best friends and her
hamster. (Femke's mother was at work). Fans will be able to take part in a live video chat with Femke on 1st of December (around 10.15) via Google hangouts. Those who will send most interesting and original questions to Femke via AVRO website will be invited to take part in action though webcam. Others still will be able to watch chat and ask their questions via website and Twitter. |

old Femke Meines from Tuitjenhorn will represent The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2012
with song "Tik Tak Tik". The doubts of legitimacy of Femke's participation in the show have been already raised by fans of the contest. It appears that she sang same song, at that time titled "Geen Tijd" at the castings last year (but failed to qualify to the final stage). As partial recording of the castings have been made public by the broadcaster a year ago, it seems that Dutch entry may be breaking Junior Eurovision rule on release date. However, it is not expected to be disqualified.

Tonight the liveshows of Dutch Junior Songfestival 2012 get underway. As usual, eight
performers have been split in two semifinals. Two of the winners of semifinals will
proceed to the final directly, while extra 5th spot will be given to internet wildcard
winner among 4 loosers of the semifinals. Winners of the shows will be determined by 1/3
televoting, 1/3 adult jury vote (Lieke van Lexmond, Ferry Doedens and John Ewbank) and 1/3
junior jury from last year participants chaired by Rachel. Song of the band Mainstreet is already included in top 100 of the Singles chart at 56th spot. finalists of Dutch Junior Songfestival have been named: Mainstreet (Nils, Owen, Daan and Rein, 13-13-14-13, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Goor, Waalre) – Stop The Time Sterre (14, Purmerend) – Jouw Ogen Jade & Sherilyn (11-14, Berkel, Rodenrijs) – Joy Femke (11, Tuitjenhorn) – Geen Tijd Alessandro (13, Zaandam) – Una chica especiale Melle (12, Leiden) – Dromen Kim (11, Huizen) – Digidoe Amy (14, Nijverdal) – My Heart Is Going Boom Boom Preselection jury included: Lucia Marthas, choreograper, Babette Labeij, vocal coach and Martin ten Hove, producer, as well as guest judge. You can listen to extracts of their entries here on on Youtube. It is interesting that Femke and Kim have already taken part with the very same entries in castings last year. It also appears that entry of Jade and Sherilyn has been performed at castings in 2010 by other song co-writers Gabi and Rakim, as Jade was too young to join the contest that year. National final has been set for October 6th, preceeded by semis on 22 and 29 of September. This will be the last update before the end of May here at Junior Eurovision site, as ESCKAZ team is busy with adult ESC coverage from Baku. |

восемь финалистов голландского Junior Songfestival: Mainstreet (Nils Kaller, Owen Gregory Playfair, Daan Zwierink, Rein van Duivenboden) – Stop The Time Sterre-Luna Zangirolami – Jouw Ogen Jade & Sherilyn – Joy Femke Meines – Geen Tijd Alessandro Wempe – Una chica especiale Melle – Dromen Kim de Koning – Digidoe Amy van der Wel – My Heart Is Going Boom Boom. В состав жюри отбора вошли хореограф Люсия Мартас, педагог по вокалу Бабетта Лабей, музыкальный продюсер Мартин тен Хоув, а также приглашенный член жюри. Прослушать отрывки их песен можно здесь или на Youtube. Интересно, что Фемке и Ким уже принимали участие с теми же самыми песнями в кастингах прошлого года. Также оказалось, что песня Джейд и Шерелин уже исполнялась на кастингах в 2010 году другими ее со-авторами Габи и Ракимом, поскольку Джейд была слишком молода в том году для участия. Национальный финал пройдет 6го октября, как обычно, предварять его будут полуфиналы 22 и 29 сентября. До конца мая это будет последним обновлением на странице Детского Евровидения, поскольку, команда ESCKAZ занята освещением взрослого Евровидения в Баку. |

| 23/03 The Netherlands continue active preparation for the national preselection of this country. The deadline for submission of applications has been reached, and list of 100 performers that have been invited to live auditions has been published. 3 entries also received a wildcard invitations after getting majority of the votes on the website of the contest. Members of professional jury that will rank the performers at the regional castings, starting this Sunday, are choreographer Lusia Marthas, vocal coach Babette Labeij and musical producer Maarten ten Hove. As one of the rotating members at regional castings will also be JESC winner Ralf Mackenbach. | Нидерланды
