Some 650 motorized balls frame the main picture of the ESC 2015 in Vienna. Since February Wahlberg Light & Motion Design has created a new superfast winch, specially made for the Eurovision Song Contest, 2015 which will move as a grand kinetic sculpture. Wahlberg, is a Danish company dedicated to light and motion design and are behind the Kinetic Sculpture to be seen inside Wiener Stadhalle. The company already has experience at the Eurovision Song Contest, as it installed the curtains used in 2010 in Olso. This time their goal was to create a superb atmospheric lights experience, bringing to life this year’s Logo and Theme. With the help of technology, 650 LED lighted balls will be running above the arena moving vertically in a span of 5 meters and with speed of 1.5M/second. It will be spectacular, promise the creators.
It is not exactly the first time that kinetic sculptures will be part of the Eurovision - a sea of 70 of them were hung throughout the entire Malmö Arena roof, resembling interior design lamps which would raise, lower and change color for the different performances. The sculptures were hung from custom fast moving winches designed by TAIT Technologies with the majority hung over the audience and 14 placed directly over the main stage. "The Ö3 Song Contest Opening Party" will take place in Ottakringer Brewery on the day before it actually becomes official Euroclub. Under the slogan "Welcome to Europe" Hitradio Ö3 opens the event with a huge opening party - the perfect opportunity for the Eurovision fans to celebrate and to tune into the show week.On 16th of May from 21:00 the Ö3 DJs Phillip Kofler, Christian Prates, Martin Domkar and Reini Schwarzinger together with live music by "The Unofficial Eurovision Party Band" will be delivering party atmosphere on all three floors with the greatest Eurovison hits as well as the greatest party hits of the 80s / 90s to today and the latest dance hits.

130 employees of Wiener Linien to assist flow of the tourists in Vienna. They will be present at all hotspots of the city, especially at Wiener Stadthalle (Urban-Loritz-Platz), Ottakringer Brewery and Town Hall Square and be guiding the guests to the locations. In addition, ORF volunteers will be employed as well.
Wiener Linien CEO Eduard Winter says: "From the operational side we do not need much to do. We're already very experienced at the major events. In Copenhagen they needed extra lines to bring people to the venue. In Vienna there is no such a need - the only exception is that we will provide electric buses to every delegation to arrive to the Red Carpet ceremony on the Town Hall Square".
Additional transport will be used on the underground line U6 and trams connecting to Wiener Stadthalle. On the day of final (Saturday, May 23) underground lines U2, U3 and U6 will be running in the interval of 7.5 minutes up to 2 am. The night buses will be increased as well.
"All show tickets are also valid as a transport ticket - so one does not need to travel to the shows by car", reminds Winter. For the Song Contest small pocket guide will be produced, containing underground transport plan and information about Eurovision related events. All metro stations will be equipped by special schedules also showing the way to the event locations.
"One of the postcards of this year also features Wiener Linien", says Winter, not revealing for which country it is. Eurovision fans are also offered a unique chance to purchase themselves a copy of Eurovision tram in scale 1:87. The toy costs €189.90.
Merci, Grand Prix! 60 Queer Years of the Eurovision Song Contest in Metropol Theatre. 
During Eurovision Song Contest Week, Vienna's Metropol Theatre (Hernalser Hauptstraße 55, 1170 Vienna) will be THE place to be for anyone who loves the Song Contest and wants to know all the news before the broadcasts. International and national acts will heat things up and get the party started at Metropol Theatre on two evenings. In the main hall, a themed revue performed by “The Gablitzers” will pay tribute to past ESC greats (and not-so-greats). International guest stars and local celebrities, such as Dame Galaxis and Markus Richter, take a humorous look at past and of course this year’s ESC entries. No one will escape their sharp-tongued scrutiny and all must face the verdict of the jury, as well as the audience vote. “Worst Dressed” and “Worst Song” will definitely be among the categories judged!
Starting at 9:30 p.m. — after the 60’s show — the party really gets going: The entries of the upcoming semi-final and final shows will be presented with live running commentary by Berlin’s drag icon Jurassica Parka & “Austrian Idol” judge Mario Soldo. Following that, there will be a pre-voting and betting agency and guests that guess the results of the show the following day can win fantastic prizes! Dress-Alike Contests, ESC Trash Karaoke and Sing Along sets complete these wacky, rainbow-coloured tributes to the world’s greatest “undercover-queer” event.

With London Eurovision party coming later today, we look back now on the Amsterdam Eurovision In Concert event that took place last week. ESCKAZ has once again proved the ability to deliver Europe leading web coverage for 5th year in a row, and with 26 English language interviews and a total of 73 video productions getting 192.000 views in 6 days, has steadily followed the site's slogan "Delivering News First". 16 of our interviews have crossed the 1,000 views mark with 7 reaching 3,000 views. Most viewed were the interviews of Lithuania (12,000 views), Sweden (5,000 views), Azerbaijan (4,300 views), also crossing 3,000 mark are videos of Israel, Greece, Germany and Slovenia.
Most watched performances from the night were those of Slovenia (10000 views) and Albania (11000 views combined), also topping 5000 views were performances of Israel, Greece, Sweden, Australia and Georgia.

As we have already reported, the Eurovision Song Contest volunteers came together for the participation in "Die große Chance der Chöre" (Big battle of the choirs). 39 volunteers making the choir have been coached by vocal coach Monika Ballwein. The proposal came from one of the volunteers named Nini. "I never thought that among the volunteers are so many talented singers", the young woman from Vienna is excited. The volunteers making the choir are of different ages coming from all across Austria, for example Astrid from Burgenland is a retired music teacher and directed in her careers many choirs, but she never sang in with a one. The Viennese Elisabeth took over the organization of the choir. "There are good people and beautiful voices, I get goose bumps right there," admits the cheerful person who sings herself.
Yesterday, a special conference organised by the EBU to celebrate the Eurovisoin Song Contest’ 60th anniversary was held in London, at the BAFTA. The event, which was free to register for Eurovision fan and press, was streamed live yesterday throughout the day on Eurovision.tv. Dimitri De Groodt has attended the conference for ESCKAZ.com and submitted the following report. "The event, which featured many speakers including celebrated the event in a diverse area of topics like ritual (including social media), innovation, nation building and branding, and many more.
There was a great flow going. Each lecture and panel discussion, was nicely split by video milestones, created by the EBU. In total we saw a handful of videos, each depicting an era with changes for the Eurovision Song Contest. From France Gall’s winning pop song in 1965, to the four winners tie in 1969, Abba winning in 1974, Johnny Logan’s win in 1980 and 1987, to the former Eastern states joining the contest in 1993, to the introduction of the first semi-final in 2004 and the fantastic spectacular shows both Russia and Azerbaijan put on for the contests in 2009 and 2012.
Former British semi-final presenter and Radio 2 host Paddy O’Connell hosted the event, making the transition between each of the topics very light hearted with the necessary jokes and was the perfect moderator between the discussions and speaking to the panels. The conference was truly well thought out and included something interesting for everyone. Whether it was Canadian professor Karin Fricker’s case study on what the Eurovision Song Contest has taught us about Europe or Paul Jordan’s intriguing case study on how Eurovision helped countries like Estonia and Ukraine brand their nations. It was inspiring and a glimpse behind the successful Eurovision song contest machine.
All eyes however were on the innovation panel discussion, which featured EBU executive Jan Ola Sand, last year’s show producer Pernille Gaardbo, BBC head of delegation Guy Freeman, Sietse Bakker and Frank Saelens, the latter being responsible for the voting system. It was very interesting to hear everyone’s take on how each produced the show. The outcome of the discussion was that every year, each producer and their team try to make the best tv show. They want to leave a stamp for the next contest, and are in fact more inspired by world events like F1 World racing, rather than take inspiration from idols and talent shows. Questions were asked regarding the booing of the Russian artists last year, and both Jan Ola Sand as Pernille confirmed they were horrified by the reaction but also stated that in a case of the event, they’re unsure whether muting the booing with applause or let the audience express their thoughts is the best answer.
Conchita, who made an appearance as well in the afternoon to talk about her year, shared their thoughts. She felt embarrassed and horrified and mentioned to everyone that she would not have any booing and share her thoughts with the audience if it occurred in Vienna. Final panel discussion on "Inspiration" featured among others Kjell Ekholm from Finland (former Member of Eurovision Reference Group and Head of Delegation) and Andi Knoll - Eurovision Song Contest Commentator for ORF. Knoll had to admit that the budget of the contest in Austria is very tight, and actually they are over the budget already, but promised to pull it off anyway. On 24 April in Moscow, in concert hall Place de Paris Korston will be held already traditional official Russian pre-party of the international contest EUROVISION, which general partners this year are the jewelry company ADAMAS and Korston Club Hotel. On April 23rd participants of the concert will attend official autograph session in trade center Afimall. Shortly before the party, guests from different countries of Europe as well as Russian contestant Polina Gagarina will take part in the Russian Eurovision 2015 press-conference, will meet and greet the fans, award winners of sponsor prizes competitions, will get a tour together with lucky fans on the Red Square, and will have several signature-sessions. In the evening of 24 April, at 19:00, all fans of the most popular music event of Europe will get a chance to watch gala-concert with participation of 10 contestants of this year, as well as special guests from the entrants of last years of the show. After the show, at 23.00 Russian stars and participants of Eurovision of past years, as well as competitors from 10 European countries and Australia will appear at the exclusive after-party gala concert at the Corston, in the space of the restaurant EXTRA LOUNGE, where guests will be able not only to communicate with the musical ambassadors of Eurovision-2015 but also to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the evening Moscow. In the night, at 2.00, several participants will also perform at "Central Station" night club.

The "Eurovision Youth Contest", which was implemented by the ORF regional studios in cooperation with the respective provincial school boards, got several hundred applications from classes from all provinces, from Lustenau in Vorarlberg to Stegersbach in Burgenland. The 8,000 winners will travel for free with ÖBB for Song Contest to Vienna and back. The ÖBB will bring the students and their escorts from all 9 provinces to the so-called "Youth Show" - day time dress-rehearsal of the 2nd semifinal on May 20. 
Manfred Oschounig, Managing Director of ÖBB, and Edgar Böhm, Executive Producer of "Eurovision Song Contest", made a surprise appearance were in the New Middle School Atzenbrugg-Heiligeneich in Lower Austria and informed the children personally on the news that they will be going to attend the Eurovision show in the Wiener Stadthalle allowed. Edgar Boehm, ESC Executive Producer: "It was a great pleasure to see the beam in the eyes of the students when they learnt that they will be live at the Song Contest. This project has brought to us so many creative submissions incorporating motto of the contest "Building Bridges". We hope it is an unforgettable experience for everyone involed".

On 24 April Russian stars and participants of Eurovision of past years, as well as competitors from 10 European countries and Australia will appear at the exclusive after-party gala concert at the Corston, in the space of the restaurant EXTRA LOUNGE, where guests will be able not only to communicate with the musical ambassadors of Eurovision-2015 but also to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the evening Moscow. Preparations for the main event of this spring - gala-concert of Eurovision, which will be held on April 24 in Moscow has entered the finishing stage. The participation in the Moscow pre-party of "Eurovision 2015" was confirmed by the 10 countries participating in the upcoming contest: Macedonia, Australia, United Kingdom, San Marino, Montenegro, Israel, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Malta, Iceland. Participants of the anniversary "Eurovision 2015" will enjoy extended program in the Russian capital. On the eve of the concert, guests from different European countries, led by Polina Gagarina, will take part in the press conference of "Eurovision-2015", which will also be held in the restaurant EXRTA LOUNGE. On April 7, the first truck with equipment for the "Eurovision Song Contest" has arrived to the Wiener Stadthalle. Until the beginning of rehearsals and the opening of the press center on May 10, delivery of a total of 350 trucks are scheduled, carrying approximately 3,500 tons of material - including solely for the show hall 1,400 lights, 1,288 steles for the stage construction with a total length of 6,450 meters, 20 kilometers of cable and 26 cameras. The construction is proceeding apace - and after two weeks, the biggest part of the stage construction is completed. On Tuesday, April 21, 2015 ORF television director Kathrin Zechner and director Kurt Pongratz have visited Stadhalle to get the first look on completed Eurovision stage in Hall D. 
ORF General Director Dr. Alexander Wrabetz: "Exactly two weeks ago, the construction work for Eurovision Song Contest in the Wiener Stadthalle has started. Working round the clock we have managed to install 1,288 steles to create the "eye" of the stage in such a short period of time. It's amazing what has been done here and I have great respect to everyone involved". 
ORF television director Kathrin Zechner, "These days it is essential to look every day on what is common between us and not what divides us. In the spirit of Building Bridges' Eurovision is all about bridges between people, countries, ideologies, between rich and poor. In a total of 72 programs on ORF 1 and ORF 2 are scheduled, that will cover all aspects of building bridges in this common peaceful music contest, giving a strong signal that reminds us of our duty as human beings to reach out our hand to every other people". 
Director Kurt Pongratz: "For me, this production is a life dream coming true. The ESC is the largest musical entertainment show and totally different from any other production. I want to dedicate my work to Udo Jürgens, with whom I have been working together a lot in past. Technically, we're on the next-next-next level - so I work for the first time with 26 live cameras, including hanging from the ceiling JitaCam which will be used for the first time ever in Europe. And our stage is very special. We have, in contrast to previous years, consciously desired haptic stage, which was implemented by Florian Wieder with the symbol of eye".
The eye that spans around the entire stage, consists of 1,288 individual steles, has a width of 44 meters, a height of up to 14.3 and a depth of up to 22 meters. The steles will be using LED technology and will be able to produce a wide variety of lighting effects. The stage surface in the eye has a width of 14.2 meters, and has a LED floor with a diameter of eleven meters. In the background of the eye structure is located a LED-wall with a width of 26 and a height of 8.5 meters, which can slide apart in the middle for a width of 13 meters.
ORF has also announced enormous schedule for the Eurovision related broadcasts on the national TV during Euroveek. The broadcasts will start with the "Opening Ceremony" that will be shown on ORF eins on May 17. At 18.30 "Welcome to Vienna" program will be broadcasted with Andi Knoll and Kati Bellowitsch reporting and welcoming 40 ESC Nations at the Town Hall Square on their way to the traditional reception of the mayor. (Broadcasted on delay on May 17 at 20.15 clock on ORF III) The highlights of the whole "Opening Ceremony" and the star-studded Matinee "Pop meets opera" from the Vienna State Opera will be available at 22.10 clock in "Eurovision Song Contest - Opening Ceremony" - one on the programs of the ORF. Subsequently, at 22.40 clock on ORF eins will be broadcasted BBC show "Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits". Austrian Mr. Eurovision Andi Knoll will be reporting live on 19, 21 and 22 of May at 20.15 and on 23 May at 19.30 live from the Wiener Stadthalle with interviews and stories around the 60th ESC. As an rowing reporter Kati Bellowitsch will also report from the various ESC venues. Following the "Countdown with Andi Knoll" on the two semi-final days (19 and 21 May) comes "Eurovision Song Contest - Welcome to Europe" - at 20.25 on ORF eins - introducing the countries who compete in the semi-finals. Following the live semi-final broadcast, ORF will air "Eurovision Song Contest: Pop and Politics" - at 23.15 on ORF eins - the two-part documentary using historical archive material, that will take a look on all aspects of 60 years Song Contest. A day before the grand finale - on 22 May at 20.50 following the "Countdown with Andi Knoll" ORF eins will broadcast the documentary "Conchita - Unstoppable".
"Backstage of the Eurovision Song Contest" will be broadcasted on ORF eins on Saturday 23 May at 20.15. Following the final, there will be special report on Sunday, May 24, at 22.05 on ORF eins "Eurovision Song Contest - That was the final". Our next guests are representatives of San Marino Anita Simoncini and Michele Perniola, performing "Chain of Lights" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
- Hello, Anita and Michele, and first of all our congratulations for being selected Sammarinese representatives at Eurovision 2015! How do you feel now, being an adult Eurovision participants?Anita: Thank you very much. It's amazing, a dream come true!
Michele: I'm so excited, because when I took part to the Junior Eurovision, I learnt a lot of things and improved a lot. Now that I'm doing the Eurovision I want to learn new important things to improve even more.
- When did each of you learnt about adult Eurovision project, did it happen already before JESC in Malta? What was your initial reaction to the proposal of a duet?
Anita: No, I was informed that I was going to participate to Eurovision 2015 in Vienna with Michele Perniola after the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with The Peppermints. At the very beginning I couldn't believe it, then I was immediately enthusiastic about it.
Michele: They told me during the trip to San Marino. We were driving towards San Marino and my parents told me about taking part to the Eurovision. San Marino called me the day before saying: "Michele we need you tomorrow morning". I said: "Yes. But why?". They said: "Tomorrow morning you will know". And I never imagined that they would propose me the Eurovision. So when I knew it, I couldn't believe it!
- How can you describe your entry "Chain of Lights" in one phrase?
Michele: A song with a strong peace message.
Anita: For a better world, it's essential to be united and never stop hoping.
- Can you tell us the story of the song selection? Had you personally a say in what kind of song you'd like to perform at the event?Anita: We did not chose the song personally, but we were happy about it the moment we heard it, because the message it expresses is really important to us.
Michele: We had a number of songs to choose from but CHAIN OF LIGHTS was the only one I felt connected straight away. And I feel that a song about peace is still up to date in these days....
- Obviously a ballad is different from the more uptempo songs you have used to perform in past, including your JESC entries, do you feel comfortable singing slow song?
Michele: For me is not a slow song, we're telling a story.
Anita: Yes, I feel comfortable singing "Chain of Lights" and ballads in general, also because I like to express my emotions and feelings in a softer way than the previous uptempo songs, like "Breaking my heart" of JESC, for instance.
- What are your impressions of the work with Eurovision legend Ralph Siegel?
Anita: I adore Ralph, he's really nice and able to create a serious but tender work environment. It was a unique experience and I hope I'll have the chance to live it all over again, one day.
Michele: Ralph is a living legend, for sure I'm so honoured to work with him, but how can I tell my impressions of the work? You have to live it!
- Are there any plans for the other versions of the song, other languages, for example Italian?Michele: We have 3 different versions already and they are all available to download.
- Any ideas of the stage presentation already? Who is working with you as stage director of your entry? Will it be your mentor Antonello Carozza?
Anita: We're working in order to make a beautiful show. I'm sure Antonello will amaze us all!
- Any information already on who will be joining you on the ESC stage: musicians, backing singers, dancers? If so, can you please introduce them?
Michele: I can't because I want every single person join in that precise moment, without any anticipations from my side, I only can say that will be a great experience , not only for us but especially for everyone out there
- And will Erika Barbato be in charge of selection of the outfits for you? Are the outfits you're wearing in video a hint of what we can see on the Eurovision stage?
Anita: Erika Barbato will certainly give us some precious advice, but what we're going to wear on the stunning stage of the Wiener Stadthalle it's still a secret.
- Can you tell us more about the music video for your entry?Anita: The video was recorded in a wonderful theater in Campobasso in Molise with a talented director called Zizzomagic and many background actors that I'd like to thank a lot. It was an amazing experience I hope to repeat, possibly in my country.
Michele: In the video we can see a lot of people receiving a kind of message on their phones, and then this message takes them into a theatre to let them listen to our story.. Everybody is connected with a light and we builded up a CHAIN OF LIGHTS
- What will be your aim in the international contest?
Michele: I want to give my best and I want to transport our message of peace all over the world and that everybody should join the CHAIN OF LIGHTS
Anita: If I'll be able to let the public feel at least half of the excitement I'll be feeling at the moment of the exhibition, it will mean that I fulfilled my goal. I hope to get to the final, but this will be possible just with the support of the audience; I really hope they like "Chain of lights", it's really important to me.
- You have already visited Vienna to attend Vienna Ball for your postcard shooting, what were your first impressions of the ESC capital?
Michele: Just one word, WOW!
Anita: Vienna is a wonderful city, I'd like to spend more time there, maybe on vacation! I fell in love with some museums and monuments, not to mention the parks and the skating-rink on ice. I'm looking forward to visiting it again with my family.
- Do you plan to visit any European countries with promotion of your song? And do you think in general that pre-contest promotion is important for the contest success?Michele: We are coming to your country Russia for sure :)
Anita: I think it's important to promote our song as much as we can, that's why we're going to be in Moscow for a show the 24th of April.
- Another Eurovision legend for San Marino is of course Valentina Monetta, had you already a chance to meet her and get some advices?
Michele: No but I hope I meet her in Vienna
Anita: Valentina suggested me to train and sing a lot before the competition, so that I can get to Vienna ready and self confident! She's an amazing artist! I recently unveiled my official page on Facebook with her best wishes for me. She's going to be with us during the ESC as spoke person for San Marino in the final on the 23rd of May.
- Have you already managed to hear any other competing songs from other countries, any personal highlights?
Michele: Yes sure … I love the the song from Italy ….
Anita: I really like the songs of Azerbaijan, Austria and Sweden. I am sure they will obtain top results!
- The Peppermints still work together, and you were supposed to go on tour after JESC, any update on the plans for the group?The Peppermints go on! We are more united than ever and you will have the chance to see us the 20th June in Pontedera and the 27th June in Bolzano. We recently made an official video in Pisa, you can see it on Youtube.
- Michele, you've had your first big solo concert this year, which was also said to be the start of your tour, any update on that plans?
Michele: My first priority now is to get ready to the Eurovision Song Contest in May. Lot of things are in the planing but I prefer to take it step by step.
- Do you think of recording any other duet songs together?
Anita: I hope to have the chance to work on other songs with Michele because we get along really well and I respect him as an artist. I think our voices together can send chills down audience's spine!
- Finally, if you wish to leave any message to the visitors of our site you can do it now.
Anita: I hope "Chain of lights" will touch your soul! See you all in Vienna, I give you all a big hug!

Our next guests are representatives of Estonia Elina Born & Stig Rästa. What are their feelings about participation in the contest? "We're very proud. Life has become very busy", admit singers. At the Eurovision Elina and Stig will be performing song "Goodbye to Yesterday". "We hope that it is a timeless piece of music that will hopefully be remembered in the future as well. Yesterday, today, tomorrow… the song should speak for itself".
Stig Rästa, who competed in Estonian Eurovision preselection 8 times as performer and 5 times as songwriter, names Traffic - "Für Elise" as his song that could have done well, if reached international competition. As composer of this year's entry, he tells us the story of it's creation. "Goodbye to Yesterday" was actually written a couple of years ago already. At that time I thought that this song will have to wait for the right time and the right partner. The funny thing is that I was not even sure if it works as a duet or not. I guess it did :)". Was he considering any other duet partners than Elina? "Actually no others were considered, but it was originally written as a duet. At first I let Elina listen to the song and she thought that maybe I should sing the song by myself as it was in the demo. Eventually we decided to sing it together". 
Fans of the duet Keiti Huik & Tenno Rattasepp have recorded "Goodbye to Yesterday" in Estonian version and even filmed amateur music video for it. "It is, of course, an unofficial translation and version of the song but it definitely shows that the song is enduring and we will surely be thinking about the possibility of releasing an Estonian version by ourselves as well. It is nice that the others like our song and they also like to perform it", say Elina and Stig. They also reveal that the team is currently working on the remix. "Let’s see when it will be released. But in a local night club we heard a surprising unofficial mashup of our song and a tune by Estonian progressive house superstar Syn Cole". Shortly after the national final the duet has also released music video for their entry. "The idea was to catch even wider audience and to give the song several different visual perspectives. The man behind the video idea is Hindrek “Masa” Maasik who has done many music videos for different international artists". 
"Goodbye to Yesterday" will get different staging at the international Eurovision compared to Eesti Laul presentation, say the singers, but confirm there will be no backing vocalists or instrumentalists used. "There will be just the two us, but there will be a completely new look, because we like to show the song from different sides". Will black and white effect stay? "We will try to keep the atmosphere but we will be turning on some colours ;)". Estonian representatives give very simple definition to their aim at the competition: "We want to give a memorable performance". After the national final triumph they have somewhat disappeared from the view of European audience, continuing giving local performances. "We are taking it rather easily… To use the sports terms – we don’t want to overtrain, we try to keep our song and performance as “fresh” as we can. We are unsure if pre-contest promotion is really important - it rather all comes to the three minutes on stage". The duet is currently busy with working on and building Elina's future career, promising her debut album to be released soon. "I am, as always, writing music all the time. Trying to come up with one song per day", Stig adds. Will there be any more duets? "Maybe, we will see what the future brings".
Elina says she had no time to listen to any of competing entries yet, while Stig admits knowing some of them and highlights Swedish entry as they one he likes. "Of course we are happy that our chances to succeed are considered to be high. We think that it doesn’t put on any extra pressure, it actually makes us feel proud and happy". May their chances be hampered by the number of duets in competition this year? "We don't think so, duet is actually not a separate category :)", they deny. As a message to the readers, Elina and Stig say: "Thank you for the support, we are really happy!.

Last year's Eurovision Song Contest winner, Austria's Conchita, will again 'Rise like a Phoenix' at the London Eurovision Party - the eighth annual pre-Eurovision Party will be held on Sunday 26th April 2015 in the heart of London's West End at the glittering Coffee Paris. UK fans will have a chance to also show they're "Still in Love" with the United Kingdom's entrants Electro Velvet before they head off to Vienna. Several singers who will represent their countries at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in May will perform as well. These include Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden) who will perform fan-favorite 'Heroes', Amber (Malta), Knez (Montenegro), Eduard Romanyuta (Moldova), Mélanie René (Switzerland), John Karayiannis (Cyprus), Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Barta (Czech Republic - returning to the contest after a 5 year absence); Maria-Elena Kyriakou (Greece); The Makemakes (Austria); Aminata Savadogo (Latvia). As a special 60th anniversary treat Australia have joined the contest, and they are sending their very own superstar, Guy Sebatian (Australian Idol winner in 2003 with six Australian number-one singles) to perform 'Tonight Again' in London.
Special guests this year will be Christer Björkman (Sweden 1992) who will reprise his Eurovision song 'I morgon är en annan dag'; Kitty Brucknell (X Factor 2011) who will remind us of her attempts at Eurovision success in Switzerland and Moldova; Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012) who will sing 'This Is The Night'. Also making a welcome return to the London Party will be Sarbel (Greece 2007). The night will once again, be hosted by the Eurovision darling Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000), and the dashing Paddy O'Connell (BBC commentator & radio broadcaster). Eurovision music to dance the night away in glitzy surroundings will be also provided by fan-favorite DJ, Dave Simmons. Doors will open at 6pm with the first artist on stage just before 7pm.

Our next guest is Mélanie René from Switzerland. As usual we start off with asking on her feelings towards participation in the contest.
"I still feel like a kid in Disneyland :P I am aware it is a lot of hard work and preparation, but it is a lot of fun as well!"
At the Eurovision 2015 Mélanie will perform song "Time to shine". She describes that it is about "realising it is okay to be who you are and not to be afraid to stand up for what you believe in". "Time To Shine" was written about a year ago, when Mélanie was composing for her upcoming EP. "This summer I showed my songs to my manager. She fell in love with this song and she told me we should send it to the Eurovision selections. I trusted her, and we worked on it. I am so glad I did, she helped me realise one of my dreams!". Mélanie defines her aim at the international Eurovision Song Contest as "I would love for people to remember the message and emotion I will have shared with them in my song. For me, music is all about sharing something with the audience, so if I manage to do this I will be happy". There were some changes to the "Time To Shine" brought after national final. "We wanted to make it sound a bit bigger, we worked on the dynamics mainly", Mélanie explains. Singer says there will be changes brought in her performance compared to the national final version as well, and that she will not be alone on the stage. "With the people in the team working with me, we are re-thinking the whole concept, staging and performance. It is a very exciting time! I am also keeping up with my vocal lessons and rehearsals with the rest of the band".
Swiss entrant has already visited Lithuania, Slovenia and attended Eurovision pre-party Riga. "These have been great experiences and I am looking forward performing at the London Eurovision Party as well! It is a very exciting time!", she says. She was not able to attend Eurovision In Concert in Amsterdam, since she has been performing that day on a big TV show "Hello Again" on Swiss TV. Mélanie has already managed to listen to many of the other competing entries. "I can’t pick a favourite! They all have their own style, their own universe, and I personally believe that this is what makes this contest so interesting!"
Mélanie already has good experience of taking part in the international competitions. "When I participated in the music festival George Grigoriu in Romania in 2009, I was representing Switzerland as well. I think it helped me with regard to stage presence and having cameras around on stage, but it was a bit different from the Eurovision song contest. Both are great experiences, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to participate in both!". Currently she is working on the release of her debut EP which should be out by the end of Spring, material for the future full album to be released after Eurovision, as well as a repertoire for future gigs. "In the bigger picture I would like to be able to make a living out of music", she says. "I would like to thank every single person who has supported and encouraged me since the very beginning, and who still believe in me. You are what keeps me motivated and passionate about what I do! You guys are simply amazing <3 "

The 7th edition of the annual Eurovision in Concert event took place in Amsterdam last weekend. ESCKAZ' Mike Duncan sent in his report from the spot. 
"It was our great pleasure to attend both the press event and the concert for the 5th year in a row at the Vondelpark in Amsterdam and the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Each year this event seems to grow and grow in both numbers of press and different new delegations attending. The organisation also becomes even more professional with each passing year and is now firmly fixed in the Eurovision calendar for years to come. We take this opportunity firstly to say a massive thanks to the organising committee for this and for inviting us to be able to attend once again. ESCKAZ.com were delighted to have been able to meet with all the delegations that attended, including interviewing 22 out of 24 of them in person. Again thanks to the organisers for facilitating this. 
The Press Event was located in the wonderful Vondelpark in Amsterdam and the glorious sunshine enabled some great moments in the open air with many of the delegations. Whist ESCKAZ.com would never disclose any personal favourites among the performers suffice to say that some really impressed us this year with their articulate professionalism during the interviews. 
The press event started with the traditional introduction to the performers by the organisers and an opportunity to take the Family Photo. This is always a great moment to see when all the artists are gathered together in one place, and it really does bring Eurovision alive at that point. After this there was ample time to obtain one-to-one impression interviews with the delegations while they were escorted to prepare their soundcheck for the evening’s show. All delegations were very happy to meet with the press and all seemed genuinely excited about the concert in the evening and the big event coming up in May in Vienna. Getty Kaspers was also introduced on the 40th anniversary of her win in 1975 and event supervisor Sietse Bakker delivered welcome speech for delegations and press. 
As always "Eurovision In Concert" is a fantastic show, so professionally put together that we often wonder sometimes if we are actually at an event put together by the EBU. It started perfectly with the now traditional Te Deum blasting out to 2000 screaming fans and went seamlessly into one of the hosts, Edsilia Rombley singing Hemel en aarde. Then we had some audience interactions with both hosts together, Cornald Mass and Edsilia Rombley. Then it was on with the show. 
There were, I have to say, no big shocks on stage in a negative way, but there were some nice surprises in that some performers really shone on stage, in particular Poland, Moldova (praised as biggest improvement from the national final performance), Serbia (who received the best audience reaction of the night), Greece, Norway (the biggest impression of the night according to most of reviews), Georgia, Belarus, and Macedonia. That said we thoroughly enjoyed every single performance and loved the way all the performers enjoyed the show and had fun with the audience whilst maintaining huge professionalism on stage. And a word welcome for the first time to Sweden, finally after all these years, and Australia who wowed the audience with his energetic performance. 
The simple ballads also stood out for us this year, Cyprus and Hungary managed to engage what was a nightclub audience and hold them in thrall….no easy feat with some rather drunk loud audience members. Uptempo numbers were all clustered towards the end on the night, with Lithuania, The Netherlands, already mentioned Sweden and Australia all bringing the audience alive. And Germany’s Ann-Sophie really played with the crowd and hit every note to perfection. Slovenia played some of their music live which was a very special moment and again, as one of the favourites really brought the whole place to life. Well done. 
For the rest of the field Israel and Azerbaijan were highlights with both these good looking accomplished singers holding the stage and the audience in their hands and delivering when it really counted. Albania, Austria, France and Latvia also performed very well with songs that one would not think would work in a nightclub environment. The audience was rapt! The last two not yet mentioned, the United Kingdom and Montenegro, both performed early in the draw which for Knez was great as his powerful Balkan ballad really got the crowd in the mood for what was to come. And as for Electro Velvet just before the first break there was a really positive response from the crowd who really took them to their hearts with their flippy-clappy number. The show ended with perennial favourites Bobbysocks! performing fours songs including their winner, La Det Swing. 10 out of 10 for everybody involved, the delegations, the organisers, the press for behaving (mostly!) and for the crowd of fans who make Eurovision and Eurovision In Concert such perfect moments.

С февраля компания Wahlberg Light & Motion Design была занята созданием новой, сверхбыстрой лебедки, которая была изготовлена специально для Евровидения 2015 и будет двигаться как огромная кинетическая структура. Датская компания Wahlberg, занимающаяся дизайном света и движения, отвечает за всю кинематическую структуру, установленную в Wiener Stadthalle. Компания уже имеет опыт в Евровидении, поскольку именно она отвечала за установку занавесей, использовавшихся на Евровидении 2010 в Осло. Сегодня, компания Microsoft и Европейский Вещательный Союз (ЕВС) объявили о запуске новой версии официального мобильного приложение Евровидение - наилучшего способа для поклонников конкурса оставаться в курсе последних известий, а также возможности проголосовать за своих фаворитов во время самих шоу в мае. Основанное на облачной платформе Microsoft Azure, приложение Евровидения доступно на английском языке во всех странах Европейского Союза, а также на голландском, шведском, немецком, датском, французском и испанском языках.
Приложение, дебютировавшее на Windows Phone, было создано совместно со специалистами в организации голосования компанией digame mobile GmbH. Во время эфиров шоу зрители смогут узнать при помощи приложения биографии участвующих артистов, тексты песен для того, чтобы подпеть им, информацию об участвующих странах, и, конечно же, результаты конкурса.

Официальное приложение Евровидения для Windows Phone и Windows Tablet стало доступным с сегодняшнего дня. Скачать ее для любых систем с Windows 8.1 можно здесь. Версии для Android и iOS будут выпущены 29 апреля.

Как мы уже сообщали ранее, волонтеры конкурса Евровидение 2015 объединились для участия в телешоу "Die große Chance der Chöre" (Битва хоров). С 39 волонтерами, вошедшими в состав хора занималась педагог по вокалу Моника Баллвейн. Предложение первоначально поступило от одной из волонтеров по имени Нини. "Я никогда не думала, что среди нас так много талантливых исполнителей", говорит девушка из Вены. В состав хора вошли волонтеры разных лет из различных регионов Австрии, например Астрид из Бургенланда - пенсионер, бывшая учительница музыки, которая управляла в своей карьере многими хорами, но никогда не пела в их составе. Еще одна жительница Вены Элизабет взяла на себя руководство хором. "В нем очень хорошие люди с потрясающими голосами, у меня по коже бегут мурашки от каждого прослушивания", говорит она.
24 апреля в Москве, в концертном зале Place de Paris Korston, пройдет, уже ставшая традиционной, официальная российская pre-party самого громкого международного песенного конкурса EUROVISION, генеральными партнерами которой в этом году выступили ювелирная компания ADAMAS и Korston Club Hotel. 23го апреля участники Евровидения проведут автограф сессию в торгово-развлекательном центре Афимолл. Незадолго до начала концерта гости из разных стран Европы во главе с Полиной Гагариной примут участие в российской пресс-конференции конкурса «Евровидение-2015», встретятся с фанатами, торжественно вручат билеты на концерт победителям конкурсов, прогуляются с поклонниками по Красной площади, а также проведут еще несколько автограф-сессий. Вечером 24 апреля, в 19:00, всех поклонников самого громкого песенного конкурса Старого света ждет масштабный гала-концерт с участием свыше 10 конкурсантов Евровидения этого года и специальных гостей из числа участников шоу прошлых лет. После завершения концерта, в 23.00, российские звезды и участники Евровидения прошлых лет, а также конкурсанты от 10 стран Европы этого года зажгут на after-party гала-концерта в отеле Корстон, в пространстве ресторана EXTRA LOUNGE, где гости смогут не только пообщаться с музыкальными послами Eurovision-2015, но и насладиться великолепным панорамным видом вечерней Москвы. Ночью, в 2.00, ряд участников Евровидения выступят в клубе "Central Station".

Подготовка к главному событию этой весны - gala-концерту Евровидения, который состоится 24 апреля в Москве - вышла на финишную прямую. Свое участие в московской пре-пати «Eurovision 2015» подтвердили 10 стран-участников грядущего конкурса : Македония, Австралия, Англия, Сан-Марино, Черногория, Израиль, Азербайджан, Белоруссия, Мальта, Исландия. Участников юбилейного конкурса "Eurovision 2015" в российской столице ждет насыщенная программа. 7го апреля в Wiener Stadthalle прибыл первый грузовик с оборудованием для Евровидения. До начала первых репетиций и открытия пресс-центра 10го мая всего ожидается доставка 350 таких грузовиков, на которых будет доставлено примерно 3500 тонн материала - включая только для зрительного зала 1400 световых приборов, 1288 стел для сцены общей длиной в 6450 метров, 20 километров кабеля и 26 камер. Строительство продвигалось очень быстро, и спустя всего две недели большая часть сцены уже готова. В вторник, 21го апреля, Stadthalle посетили телевизионный директор телеканала ORF Катрин Зехнер и директор Курт Понгратц, первыми получившие возможность взглянуть на готовую сцену Евровидения в зале D.
Генеральный директор телеканала ORF Александр Врабец говорит: "Ровно две недели назад мы начали работать над строительством сцены в Wiener Stadthalle. Мы работали круглосуточно и смогли за короткий срок установить 1288 стел, которые создают "глаз" сцены. Проведенная работа - просто потрясающая. Я благодарен всем тем, кто принимал в ней участие".
Телевизионный директор ORF Катрин Зехнер: "В эти дни особенно важно стараться находить то, что объединяет, а не то, что разделяет нас. В духе слогана конкурса "Возводить мосты", Евровидение возводит мосты между людьми, странами, идеологиями, между бедными и богатыми. Всего на ORF 1 и ORF 2 запланировано 72 программы, которые осветят все аспекты возведения мостов в рамках этого мирного конкурса песни, дав всем сигнал, который напомнит о нашей обязанности протянуть руку всем другим людям нашей планеты".
Директор Курт Понгратц: "У меня сбылась мечта. Евровидение - это крупнейшее музыкальное шоу в мире и полностью отличается от любых других программ. Я хочу посвятить свою работу на нем Удо Юргенсу, с которым мы много работали вместе в прошлом. Если говорить о технических вопросах, то мы вышли на следующий-следующий-следующий уровень, впервые я работаю с 26 камерами прямого эфира, включая подвешенную к потолку JitaCam, которая будет использоваться впервые в Европе. И наша сцена - особенная. Мы, в противоположность прошлым годам, сознательно решили создать тактильную сцену, что и было воплощено Флорианом Видером в символе глаза".
Глаз, который окружает сцену, создан из 1288 стел, имеет ширину 44 метра, высоту до 14.3 метров и глубину до 22 метров. Стелы будут использовать LED технологии и смогут производить множество различных световых эфектов. Сама сцена внутри глаза имеет ширину в 14.2 метра, LED пол диаметром в 11 метров. Позади глаза расположена LED-cтена общей шириной в 26 и высотой в 8.5 метров, которая может раздвигаться посередине на ширину в 13 метров.
Телекомпания ORF также объявила расписание многочисленных эфиров национального телевидения, посвященного конкурсу. Евронеделю откроет эфир с "Церемонии открытия", которая будет показана на ORF 1 17го мая. В 18.30 в эфир выйдет программа "Welcome to Vienna", в которой Анди Кноллом и Кати Беллович поприветствуют на красной дорожке 40 стран Евровидения на Ратушной площади по пути на традиционный прием у мэра. (Эфир с задержкой 17го мая в 20:15 на ORF 3). Самые интересные моменты "Церемонии открытия" и дневного шоу "Pop meets opera" из Государственной Оперы Вены будут показаны в 22.10 в программе "Евровидение - Церемония открытия". После этого, в 22.40 на ORF 1 будет показано шоу BBC "Eurovision Song Contest's Greatest Hits". Австрийский мистер Евровидение Анди Кнолл будет вести прямые репортажи 19, 21 и 22 мая в 20:15 и 23 мая в 19:30 из Wiener Stadthalle с интервью и рассказами о подготовке 60го Евровидения. Кати Беллович будет вести свои репортажи из разных точек Евровидения. После "Countdown с Анди Кноллом" в дни полуфиналов (19 и 21 мая) выйдет в эфир программа "Евровидение - Добро пожаловать в Европу" в 20:25 на ORF 1 - где будут представлены страны, принимающие участие в полуфиналах. По окончанию эфиров полуфиналов, на ORF в эфир выйдет "Евровидение - Поп и политика" в 23:15 на ORF 1 - документальный фильм из двух частей с использованием исторического архивного материала. За день до финала, 22 мая в 20:50 после "Countdown с Анди Кноллом" в эфир выйдет документальный фильм "Кончита - Unstoppable".
Программа "Закулисье Евровидения" выйдет в эфир на ORF 1 в субботу 23 мая в 20:15. После финала, в воскресенье, 24 мая, в 22:05 на ORF 1 в эфир выйдет программа "Евровидение - Таким был финал". - Добрый день, Анита и Микеле, прежде всего наши поздравления вам с тем, что вы были выбраны представителями Сан-Марино на Евровидении 2015. Что вы чувствуете сейчас, став участниками уже взрослого Евровидения?Анита: Спасибо большое. Это просто потрясающе, сбылась наша мечта!
Микеле: Я невероятно рад, потому что когда я принимал участие в Детском Евровидении, то смог многому научиться и набраться опыта. Теперь, с участием во взрослом Евровидении я хотел бы научиться чем-то важному, и улучшить свое мастерство еще больше.
- Как каждый из вас узнал о проекте взрослого Евровидения, произошло ли это еще до Детского Евровидения на Мальте? И какова была ваша первая реакция на предложение о дуэте?
Анита: Нет, мне рассказали о том, что я буду принимать участие в Евровидении 2015 вместе с Микеле уже после возвращения с Детского Евровидения, где я выступала с The Peppermints. С самого начала я просто не могла в это поверить, но сразу же восприняла это известие с большим энтузиазмом.
Микеле: Мне рассказали во время поездки в Сан-Марино. Мы ехали по дороге туда, и мои родители рассказали, что поездка связана с участием на Евровидении. Представители делегации Сан-Марино позвонили мне за день до этого и сказали: "Микеле, завтра утром ты нам будешь нужен". Я сказал: "Хорошо. Но зачем?". Они сказали: "Все узнаешь завтра утром". И я даже не мог представить себе, что мне предложат участие во взрослом Евровидении. Когда я узнал это, то просто не мог поверить!
- Как бы вы описали вашу конкурсную песню "Chain of Lights" в одной фразе?
Микеле: Как песню с сильным месседжем о мире во всем мире.
Анита: О лучшем мире, очень важно всем людям объединиться, и никогда не прекращать надеяться.
- Расскажите нам историю выбора этой песни? Решали ли вы этот вопрос сами, спрашивали ли ваше мнение о том, какую песню вы бы хотели исполнить на конкурсе?Анита: Мы не выбирали песню лично, но мы были очень обрадованы в тот момент, когда впервые услышали ее, потому что тот месседж, который она несет очень важен для нас.
Микеле: У нас было несколько песен на выбор, но именно CHAIN OF LIGHTS запала мне в душу моментально. Я уверен, что песня про мир очень соответствует нынешней ситуации...
- Исполнение баллады немного отличается от более быстротемповых песен, которые вы исполняли ранее, включая и Детское Евровидение, комфортно ли вы чувствуете себя с медленной песней?
Микеле: Для меня неважно, быстрая песня или медленная, важно то, что мы рассказываем в ней историю.
Анита: Да, мне вполне комфортно с "Chain of Lights", и балладами в-общем, потому что я люблю выражать свои чувства и эмоции более мягким способом, нежели, чем предыдущие быстротемповые песни, как например наша "Breaking My Heart".
- Какие у вас остались впечатления от работы с легендой Евровидения Ральфом Зигелем?
Анита: Я восхищаюсь Ральфом, он очень милый человек, и способен создать серьезную, но в то же время уютную рабочую атмосферу. Это был уникальный опыт, и я надеюсь, что когда-то я смогу пережить его снова.
Микеле: Ральф - живая легенда, без сомнения для меня было большой честью работать с ним. Я не могу описать своих впечатлений от этого, это просто нужно пережить.
- У вас есть планы выпустить какие-то другие версии вашей песни, например на других языках, итальянском?Микеле: У нас уже вышло три разные версии, они доступны на цифровом сингле на песню.
- Какие у вас есть идеи сценического воплощения вашего номера? Кто работает с вами в качестве режиссера-постановщика? Может быть это ваш ментор Антонелло Кароцца?
Анита: Мы упорно работаем над тем, чтобы показать красивое шоу. Я уверена, что Антонелло изумит всех нас!
- Можете ли вы уже поделиться информацией о том, кто присоединится к вам на сцене, будут ли это музыканты, бэк-вокалисты, танцоры?
Микеле: Пока нет, потому что мне бы хотелось увидеть рядом с нами в этот момент всех и каждого. А без каких-либо ожиданий со своей стороны, я могу сказать, что уверен в одном - это будет потрясающий опыт, не только для нас, но и для всех тех, кто будет с нами.
- Будет ли Эрика Барбато подбирать вам сценические костюмы? Похожи ли те костюмы, в которых вы будете выступать на те, что мы видели в видеоклипе на вашу песню?
Анита: Эрика, конечно, поделится с нами ценными советами, но то, в чем мы выйдем на потрясающую сцену арены Wiener Stadthalle пока секрет.
- Расскажите вообще о видеоклипе на вашу композицию?Анита: Съемки его прошли в замечательном театре в Кампобассо в регионе Молизе под руководством талантливого режиссера Zizzomagic и множеством актеров, которых нам бы очень хотелось поблагодарить. Это потрясающий опыт, который мне бы хотелось когда-то повторить, возможно в моей стране.
Микеле: В видео вы можете видеть множество людей получающих какое-то сообщение на свои мобильные телефоны, и это сообщение приводит их в театр, где они могут выслушать нашу историю. Все связано со светом и мы возводим цепочку света вместе!
- Какую цель вы ставите перед собой на международном конкурсе?
Микеле: Я хочу выложиться на полную, и передать наш месседж о мире зрителям со всего мира, чтобы они все вместе создали цепочку света.
Анита: Если бы я смогла передать публике хотя бы половину от того возбуждения, что я буду испытывать во время нашего выступления, значит я смогла бы выполнить свою цель. Мне хочется, чтобы мы прошли в финал, но это станет возможным только при поддержке зрителей. Я очень надеюсь, что "Chain of Lights" понравится им, это очень важно для меня.
- Вы уже посещали Вену и Венский бал для съемки вашей визитки, какие у вас остались первые впечатления о столице Евровидения этого года?
Микеле: Только одно слово - WOW!
Анита: Вена - это потрясающий город, я бы очень хотела провести там еще время, может быть в отпуске! Мне очень понравились некоторые музеи и памятники, конечно же парки, и огромный каток на льду. Я с нетерпением жду возможность побывать в нем снова со своей семьей.
- Планируете ли вы посетить какую-то из Европейских стран с продвижением вашей песни? И что вы думаете в общем о том, важен ли предконкурсный промоушен для успеха на Евровидении?Микеле: Мы обязательно приедем к вам в Россию :)
Анита: Мне кажется важным как можно больше продвигать нашу песню, потому мы выступим в Москве на пре-пати Евровидения 24го апреля.
- Еще одна легенда Евроввидения для Сан-Марино это, конечно же, Валентина Монетта. У вас уже была возможность познакомиться с ней и получить какие-то советы?
Микеле: Нет, но я надеюсь, что смогу увидиться с ней в Вене.
Анита: Валентина предложила мне больше тренироваться и побольше петь перед участием в конкурсе, чтобы в Вену я приехала полностью готовой и уверенной в себе! Я считаю, что она - потрясающая артистка! Недавно я открыла на Facebook свою официальную страницу как раз ее пожеланиями в мой адрес. Она будет вместе с нами на Евровидении в качестве глашатая от Сан-Марино в финале 23го мая.
- Вы уже смогли послушать песни, представляющие другие страны? Что-то вам особенно понравилось?
Микеле: Да, конечно - мне очень понравилась песня из Италии….
Анита: Мне нравятся песни Азербайджана, Австрии и Швеции. Я уверена, что они будут высоко в итоговой таблице!
- The Peppermints все еще работают вместе, вы планировали после Детского Евровидения отправиться в совместный тур, можете рассказать нам о дальнейших планах группы?Анита: The Peppermints продолжают работать! Мы еще больше сплотились, чем раньше, и все желающие смогут увидеть наши выступления 20го июня в Понтедере и 27го июня в Больцано. Недавно мы сняли официальный видеоклип в Пизе, посмотреть его вы можете на Youtube.
- Микеле, у тебя в этом году прошел первый сольный концерт, который был объявлен началом твоего тура, можешь ли рассказать нам о своих дальнейших планах?
Микеле: Сейчас мой первый приоритет - подготовка к Евровидению в мае. Дальше - у нас есть множество планов, но я предпочитаю все делать шаг за шагом.
- Думали ли вы о записи еще каких-то совместных дуэтов?

Наши очередные гости - представители Эстонии Элина Борн и Стиг Ряста, считающиеся одними из фаворитов Евровидения в этом году. Какие чувства они испытывают от своего участия в конкурсе? "Мы очень гордимся. Наша жизнь стала очень оживленной", признают исполнители. На Евровидении Стиг и Элина будут исполнять композицию "Goodbye To Yesterday". "Мы надеемся, что она станет вечным музыкальным произведением, и ее будут помнить и в будущем. Вчера, сегодня, завтра… песня должна говорить сама за себя".
Стиг Ряста, который принимал участие в эстонских национальных отборах 8 раз в качестве исполнителя и 5 раз в качестве автора песен, называет "Traffic - "Für Elise", в качестве своей песни, которая могла бы добиться успеха, попав на международный конкурс. Как автор песни этого года, он рассказывает нам историю ее создания: "Goodbye to Yesterday", на самом деле, была написана еще пару лет назад. В то время я подумал, что ей придется подождать наступления подходящего времени и появления подходящего партнера. Самое смешное то, что я даже не знал, будет ли она работать в качестве дуэта или нет. Мне кажется, что сработала :)". Рассматривал ли он другие кандидатуры в дуэт, помимо Элины? "Нет, хотя песня изначально и написана для дуэта, но другие варианты я не рассматривал. Сначала я дал Элине прослушать песню, и она подумала, что может быть мне лучше будет спеть ее самому, как я и пел в демо-версии. Но все-таки мы решили в итоге спеть ее вместе".
Поклонники участников Евровидения Keiti Huik и Tenno Rattasepp записали "Goodbye to Yesterday" на эстонском языке и даже сняли на нее любительский видеоклип. "Это, конечно, неофициальный перевод и версия песни, но это показывает, что песня очень прочная, и мы, конечно, сами обязательно обдумаем о возможности выпуска ее версии на эстонском языке. Очень приятно, что другим нравится наша песня, и что они тоже хотят исполнять ее", говорят Элина и Стиг. Они также рассказывают о том, что их команда в настоящее время работает над ремиксом на песню: "Посмотрим, когда он будет выпущен. Но в местном ночном клубе, мы услышали удивительный неофициальный мэшап нашей песни с мелодией от звезды эстонской прогрессив-хаус музыки Сина Коула". Автором идеи клипа был Hindrek “Masa” Maasik, который снял множество видеоклипов, в том числе и для международно-известных исполнителей".
Постановка номера "Goodbye to Yesterday" на международном Евровидении будет отличаться от того, что мы видели в финале Eesti Laul, рассказывают исполнители, но никаких бэк-вокалистов или инструменталистов в номере не будет. "Будем только мы вдвоем, но там будет совершенно иной имидж, поскольку мы любим показывать песню с разных углов". Останется ли черно-белый эффект? "Мы постараемся сохранить эту атмосферу, но на этот раз подключим несколько цветов ;)". Представители Эстонии достаточно просто формулируют свою цель на конкурсе: "Мы хотим показать запоминающееся выступление". После финала национального отбора эстонский дуэт несколько пропал из внимания европейской аудитории, при этом продолжая выступать на местом уровне. "Мы относимся ко всему этому достаточно просто… Используя спортивную терминологию - мы не хотим перетренироваться, мы хотим сохранить нашу песню и выступление настолько "свежим", насколько это возможно. Мы не уверены в какой-либо важности предконкурсного промоушена - все решают три минуты на сцене". В настоящее время дуэт занят работой и подготовкой будущей карьеры Элины, обещая, что в скором времени в свет выйдет ее дебютный альбом. "Ну а я, как обычно, все время пишу музыку. Стараюсь создавать по одной песне каждый день", добавляет Стиг. Можем ли мы ждать еще новые дуэты? "Может быть, посмотрим, что принесет нам будущее".
Элина говорит, что у нее пока не было времени услышать участвующие песни других стран, а Стиг, в свою очередь, признается, что слушал некоторые из них, и отмечает песню Швеции, как понравившуюся ему. "Конечно, мы рады тому, что наши шансы на успех оцениваются высоко. Мы не думаем, что это налагает на нас какое-то дополнительное давление, наоборот, из-за этого мы испытываем гордость и радость". Может ли им помешать то, что в этом году в конкурсе много других дуэтов? "Мы так не думаем, ведь дуэт вообще не идет в нем отдельной музыкальной категорией :)", не соглашаются исполнители. Наша следующая гостья - представительница Швейцарии Мелани Рене. Как обычно, мы начинаем наше интервью с вопроса о том, какие чувства она испытывает к своему участию в Евровидении.
"Я ощущаю себя, как ребенок, попавший в Диснейленд! :P Я понимаю, что участие в Евровидение - это большая работа надо подготовкой, но в то же время это ведь и очень весело!"
На конкурсе Евровидение 2015 Мелани споет песню "Time to shine". Месседж композиции она объясняет следующим образом: "Это - песня о понимании того, что нормально быть тем, кем ты являешься, и не бояться выступать за то, во что ты веришь". "Time To Shine" была написана свыше года назад, когда Мелани писала песни для своей предстоящей пластинки. "Этим летом, я показала песни своему продюсеру. Ей очень понравилась эта композиция, и она предложила мне отправить ее на отбор на Евровидение. Я доверилась ей, и мы стали работать. Сейчас я очень рада, что все так произошло, она помогла мне реализовать одно из моих самых главных желаний!". Мелани определяет свою цель на международном конкурсе как "Я очень хотела бы, чтобы зрители запомнили месседж и те эмоции, которыми я делюсь с ними в своей песне. Для меня - цель музыки в том, чтобы делиться чем-то со зрителями, поэтому я счастлива, если мне удается сделать это". Представительница Швейцарии уже посетила Литву, Словению и вечеринку Евровидения в Риге. "Это был замечательный опыт, и я с нетерпением теперь жду возможности выступить на Лондонской вечеринке Евровидения!", говорит она. Мелани не смогла принять участие в Eurovision In Concert в Амстердаме, поскольку в этот день выступала на крупном телевизионном шоу "Hello Again" на швейцарском телевидении. У певицы уже была возможность прослушать большую часть песен других стран. "Но я не могу выбрать фаворита! У всех свой стиль, своя вселенная. и мне кажется, что это разнообразие - это именно то, что делает конкурс столь интересным!"
Мелани уже имеет хороший опыт участия в международных конкурсах. "Когда я принимала участие в музыкальном фестивале им. Георгия Григориу в Румынии в 2009 году, я также представляла там Швейцарию. Я думаю, что это помогло мне научиться держаться на сцене, работать с камерами, но в то же время этот опыт сильно отличается от конкурса Евровидение. Оба - просто потрясающие, и мне очень повезло выступить на этих двух конкурсах!". В настоящее время она работает над выпуском своего дебютного EP, который должен выйти в конце весны, также записывает материал для полноценного альбома, который выйдет уже после Евровидения, и нарабатывает репертуар для предстоящих концертов. 7й ежегодный выпуск шоу Eurovision In Concert прошел в эту субботу, 18го апреля 2015 года в концертном зале Melkweg в Амстердаме, Нидерланды. Корреспондент ESCKAZ Майк Данкан рассказывает:
"Для нас вновь стало большим удовольствием побывать как на специальном мероприятии для прессы, так и на самом концерте в Амстердаме уже пятый год подряд. Каждый год это мероприятие растет как по количеству участвующих делегаций, так и заинтересованных в нем членов прессы. Организация становится все более профессиональной с каждым годом, и шоу твердо закрепилось в официальном календаре Евровидения. Мы хотели бы использовать эту возможность для благодарности команде организаторов конкурса за его проведение, а также за приглашение нашего вебсайта для освещения этого мероприятия. ESCKAZ с огромной радостью встретился и пообщался со всеми делегациями, прибывшими в Амстердам, в том числе взяв эксклюзивные интервью у 22 из 24 из участников шоу. И вновь мы благодарим организаторов за удобство в работе прессы.
Специальное пресс-мероприятие в этом году проходило в замечательном парке Вонделпарк, где на ярком солнце и открытом воздухе мы стали свидетелями многих запоминающихся моментов. Хотя политика ESCKAZ.com заключается в равном доступе к нашему ресурсу всех делегаций и мы не отдаем предпочтений своим личным фаворитам, мы все равно должны отметить, что некоторые исполнители поразили нас своим профессиональным подходом и манерой при проведении интервью.
Пресс-мероприятие началось с традиционного представления участников организаторами и возможности для семейного фото. Всегда интересно наблюдать за тем, как множество участников собираются в одном месте и создают там живое воплощение Евровидения. После этого было предоставлено достаточное время для проведения эксклюзивных интервью с делегациями, по мере того, как они по очереди отправлялись в зал конкурса для проведения саундчека перед вечерним концертом. Все делегации были очень рады пообщаться с прессой и в общем были счастливы присутствовать на данном мероприятии, являющемся своего рода генеральной репетицией перед большим Евровидением в Вене. Также была представлена Гетти Касперс, которая в этом году отмечает 40-летие своей победы на Евровидении, а ивент-супервайзер конкурса Ситце Баккер произнес приветственную речь.
Как всегда "Eurovision In Concert" было фантастическим шоу, так профессионально организованным, что иногда казалось, что мы находимся не на шоу организованном фанатами, а на шоу самого ЕВС. Концерт открылся звуками гимна Евровидения "Te Deum" и восторженными криками 2000 зрителей, присутствовавших в зале. После этого на сцене появилась одна из ведущих концерта, Эдсилия Ромбли, с песней Hemel en aarde. Затем оба ведущих шоу Корналд Маас и Эдсилия Ромбли пообщались с публикой и настало время для главной части шоу.
Нужно отметить, что по моему мнению, никаких негативных шоков во время концерта зрители не испытали, но было несколько приятных сюрпризов, и некоторые участники концерта действительно просияли на сцене. В частности, можно отметить Польшу, Молдову (которую все называли наиболее улучшившимся выступлением, по сравнению с национальным отбором), Сербию (получившую самую большую зрительскую овацию вечера), Грецию, Норвегию (оставившую самое наилучшее впечатление вечера по мнению многих обозревателей), Грузию, Беларусь, и Македонию. Но, в общем, мы получили удовольствие от абсолютно каждого выступления, и нам очень понравилось то, как удовольствие получали и сами исполнители, которые веселились и общались с аудиторией, при этом сохраняя максимальный профессионализм на сцене. Мы были рады впервые поприветствовать на концерте в Амстердаме Швецию, а также Австралию которые восхитили зрителей своими энергичными выступлениям.
Неплохо выделялись и простые баллады, Кипр и Венгрия смогли справиться с типичной клубной аудиторией и быть услышанными, что было совсем не легко, поскольку публика в зале была достаточно шумной, и зачастую несколько нетрезвой. Быстротемповые номера в основном были поставлены под закрытие концерта, Литва, Нидерланды, уже отмеченные Швеция и Австралия смогли оживить зрительскую аудиторию. Также весьма неплохо публикой была встречена представительница Германии, которая смогла чисто отработать каждое свое движение и ноту. Словения исполнила свою музыку частично вживую, что также вызвало восторг аудитории, и как одна из фаворитов была достойно встречена в зрительном зале.
Из остальных композиций можно отметить Израиль и Азербайджан с их миловидными исполнителям, державшими аудиторию во внимании на всем протяжении выступений. Албания, Австрия, Франиця и Латвия также замечательно выступили с песнями, которые не совсем привычны для клубной среды. Осталось отметить также артистов из Великобритании и Черногории, выступавших в первой части концерта. Кнез прекрасно исполнил свою мощную балканскую балладу и настроил зрителей на дальнейшую часть концерта. Выступление дуэта Electro Velvet перед перерывом также вызвало очень положительную реакцию от всех собравшихся в зале, пританцовывающих под электро-свинг. Завершили шоу победители Евровидения Bobbysocks!, которые представили четыре песни, включая песню-победительницу La Det Swing. 10 из 10 баллов всем, кто был вовлечен в это шоу, делегациям, организаторам, прессе за хорошее поведение (в основном!) и всей толпе фанатов за то, что вновь сделали Eurovision In Concert одним из наиболее запоминающихся событий года.
