| Loucas
Yiorkas was born in Larnaca, Cyprus, on 18 October 1986. From a very early age he showed
interest for singing and music. First he studied classical guitar for five years while not
losing the opportunity to participate in philharmonic orchestras in Cyprus and
experimenting with other musical instruments. However, singing was in his heart and his
first appearance as the singer took place at the 12th Song Contest of broadcaster RIK. Then Loucas comes in Athens and already being a student at university in the department of biology applied to take part in the musical contest of ANT1 "X FACTOR" 2008-2009 and becomes the undisputed winner with excellent reviews for his vocal abilities and also his stage presence. Shortly after the show in September 2009 he released his first EP album, Mazi, which attained gold status. From 2009 until now he is working in live performances with Natasha Theodoridou, Elena Paparizou and George Mazonakis and has organized his own versatile band and sings on different stages Greece. In 2011 he gets to the new record company the MINOS-EMI. Born in Piraeus, Mike Exarchos a.k.a. Stereo Mike starts his musical journey at a young age and at the age of 18 he reaches England for studies in Music Technology and Audio Production. After graduation he begins sound-engineering at London's Vault Recording Studios. He has released his first personal album "Satirical Nomads" in 2005. In 2007 he signs to EMI, releasing the first album from his trilogy XLI3H-ANELI3H-KATALH3H. 2008 is Stereo Mike's year, as he wins Best Greek Act and gets nominated for Europe's Favourite Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. 2009 sees Stereo Mike touring the whole of Greece, Mike also gets nominated for Best Male Artist of the year. In 2010 he gets nominated again for Best Duet for his collaboration with George Sabanis and extends his live shows to London.  Konstantinos Rigos will be responsible for staging of "Watch My Dance" at the Dusseldorf stage, which will be different from the performance seen at the national preselection. |

 27/03 ESCKAZ correspondents Mike Duncan and Daniel Fay were fortunate
to meet with Loucas Yiorkas and Stereo Mike while the Greek representatives were in London
for a Greek cultural event. Singers gave a short video interview while staying in the
hotel discussing how their collaboration came about, plans for Dusseldorf and hopes for
the future. Greek duet has also performed the song at the London Greek Radio awards
semifinal and at a local shopping mall in Westfield which was hosting a Greek cultural
event, promoting tourism in Greece, Greek culture and giving a fun day out for local
Greeks and their friends. The performance seemed to be enjoyed by the Saturday afternoon
shoppers and judging by the young girls reactions to Loucas and Mike it seems that the
ladies like them already. Many thanks to the Greek delegation for inviting ESCKAZ to this
event and we look forward to meeting with them again very soon. |

центра, и судя по реакции девушек, можно полагать,
что несколько дополнительных голосов Лукас и

ближайшем будущем увидиться с ними снова. |

| Loucas Yiorkas and Stereo Mike paid a two day visit to Istanbul on April 15-16 as guests of EMI Turkey to perform state broadcaster ERT entry “Watch My Dance” for Eurovision 2011. During their visit to Turkey, Loucas and Stereo Mike participated in many popular television and music shows and met with members of ogae Turkey. Actually Loucas and Stereo Mike performed for the first time “Watch My Dance” unplugged , when they met with Yuksek Sadakat group representing Turkey at this year’s Eurovision. For over three hours on Saturday Loucas and Stereo Mike gave press interviews to television stations and popular newspapers and magazines. Yiorkas and Stereo Mike visited London as guests of the Greek Tourism Organization (EOT)
within the framework of promotion of Greek tourism. You can watch videos here. Loukas and Konstantinos Rigos (choeographer and artistic director) were invited by “London Greek Radio” (LGR) in a two hour program on Friday, March, 25. In the evening, Loukas and Mike performed live "Watch my Dance" at LGR Live Music Awards and gave an interview to Hellenic TV. On Saturday and Sunday they performed at the Greek Theme Park organized by EOT in Westfield Shopping Center in the presence of British and Greek mass media. They also gave interviews to two international sites www.esctoday.com and www.esckaz.com In an interview with Lambis Tsirigotakis, Loukas Yiorkas and Stereo Mike spoke of the warm welcome and love they received by the diaspora living in the British capital. |

| ERT held a national final on 2 March at its studio in Athens, with Lena Aroni hosting the show. The show also featured performances by Cyprus' Christos Mylordos, Malta's Glen Vella, and Bulgaria's Poli Genova amongst others. As in past years, the winning song was selected using a combination of televoting and jury voting at a 50/50 split. The jury consisted of radio producer and head of ERA2 Marina Lahana, who served as head of jury, radio producer Mihalis Tasousopoulos, conductor Andreas Pilarinos, songwriter Giorgos Parianos, and actress Bessy Malfa. ERT's broadcast came ninth overall on 2 March, with 17.4% share according to ABG Nielsen Hellas; it is estimated that around 836 thousand viewers watched the show. | ERT провело финал 2го марта в своей студии в Афинах, Лена Арони была ведущей шоу. | Greek broadcaster ERT has rescheduled the national final for 2nd of March. Participating entries can be heard here. On 9 February 2011, ERT aired one minute samples of each song on their radio station Deftero 103.7 (ERA2), and also announced the running order for the final. | Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) made an open call to record labels to submit proposals, on 11 January 2011 and in the end selected 6 acts coming from the popular Greek talent shows Greek Idol and The X Factor. ERT stated that they chose to work with major labels only, and thus rejected bids from various minor labels, while they only wished to include young up and coming artists in the selection process. Furthermore, they stated that they only chose acts that are primarily professional singers. Chosen acts and their labels had until 4 February 2011 to submit their songs to ERT for the Greek national final. | Греческая
