| Daria
Kinzer was born on 29.05.1988 in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, Germany (her mother is Croatia,
father - German). Even as a child, at the tender age of 11, Daria was regularly taking
singing lessons: for the first 3 years she was coached by Thomas Frank (director, vocal
coach, singer, judge on Star Mania) in Musicals department. Then she started learning Jazz
with Elly Wright and continued Musical training with Cornelia Zenz (lead actress in Dance
of the Vampires). After 3 years of modern singing lessons with Monica Ballwein (singer,
vocal coach, artist, composer, vocal coach at Star Mania and the musical "Romeo and
Juliet" at the Raimund Theater), she returns to the origin of her singing: the
Musical. She starts taking musical studies at the Franz Schubert Conservatory, working
with Susan Rigvava-Dumas (Housekeeper in "Rebecca" Killer Queen in "We will
rock you", Sophie in "Elizabeth"). For 7 years she acts as the main soloist
in the only musical chorus of Austria, the "Funtastic Singers". She takes part
in numerous talent competitions and wins first prize at Star-t. In 2000, at the age of 12 years Daria performs the leading role in "Beauty and the Beast", a musical production at the institute. A year later she gets the role of Elizabeth in the production of "Elisabeth" at the same institute. Then follow numerous appearances as a female lead actress in productions like "Chicago," "Cats," "Hair," "Jekyll & Hyde," "Little Shop of Horrors" and many more. In 2003 Daria makes her first experience with studio recordings, and finally records her first musical CD - Mixxx3. Another CD, as part of 2 Nice follows shortly thereafter. Daria is having solo concerts at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Vienna City Hall, in Stadttheater Wels with Domino Blue, in the Vienna Stock Exchange, with Dennis Jale in Wiener Ronacher Theater. Currently she performs for bands "Floyd Division", "5pm", "3-Klang", "Amadors", "2Nice", "D-Lounge-Music", "Uniques United", and takes part in Musicals productions "Pink Piano Project", "Mixxx3", "Musical Museum", "Musirette", "Funtastic goes Broadway" and „Wonderland of Musical“. Through the many years of stage, studio and singing experience, she now wants to pass on her knowledge through workshops and vocal coaching to other people. Daria, who currently lives in Vienna, wants to move to Zagreb to continue career in Croatia. However, first she needs to finish her studies. Song "Break A Leg" (Croatian version "Lahor") has been written by famous songwriter and member of the band Colonia Boris Djurdjevic with lyrics of Andrea Cubric. |

основная солистка в единственном хоре мюзиклов
Австрии "Funtastic Singers". Принимает участие в
различных шоу талантов и побеждает на Star-t. В 2000 году, в возрасте 12 лет Дарья исполняет заглавную роль в институтской постановке мюзикла "Красавица и Чудовище". Год спустя, она получает главную роль в мюзикле "Элизабет" в том же институте. За ними следуют выступления в главных ролях в таких постановках как "Чикаго", "Кошки", "Волосы", "Джекиль и Хайд", "Маленькая Лавка Ужасов" и других. В 2003 году Дарья впервые записывается в студии и выпускает альбом с мюзиклом "Mixxx3". Вскоре выходит и еще один ее альбом, в составе дуэта 2 Nice. Дарья дает сольные концерты в Венском Концертом Зале, Венской Ратуше, Stadttheater Wels вместе с Domino Blue, на Венской Бирже, с Деннис Джейл в Wiener Ronacher Theater. 30th of March ESCKAZ was able to talk with Croatian entrant Daria Kinzer. She has revealed
that of course her first task is to help Croatia to enter the finals; and she believes it
can be achieved as there is a lot of interest in Croatia’s entry from many European
countries, such as Spain (where she will go on tour next), UK and others, and on Youtube
there are nearly 150.000 hits on my music video “Celebrate”. At home, she also gets
questions and requests for interviews almost every day from various media, so she
considers all this is a good sign that Croatia will this year be highly placed. Of course,
Daria would love to repeat success of Emilija Kokic from 1989, whom she met while
participating at Dora. Daria is of Croatian-German origin, and while living in Austria she's been keeping an eye on Croatia, what’s happening here, and at one point she noticed on the Internet that Croatia is to hold a new type of contest for its representative on ESC, there were seven TV shows instead of only two as it was in the previous years, so she submitted her interest to it. She thinks the audience liked her voice, personality and songs that she was performing, as in this kind of contests, you need to establish a personal touch with the audience. "When I decided to participate on Dora, I said to myself that I would move to Croatia if I win, and I intend to do that. Here in Croatia is my family, I like the way of life here, moreover, in Austria pop music which I like is not so popular as in Croatia", says Daria. The lyrics of entry have been changed from "Break A Leg" to "Celebrate" because it might lead to a confusion for a non-native speakers of English who might understand “Break a leg” literally, while the phrase actually means good luck. On the other hand, “Celebrate” is clear to everyone, optimistic and popular, so that’s why the team has decided to go with it. Regarding her performance in Dusseldorf Daria said: "Final plans have not been made yet, but I can reveal to you exclusively that probably we will have a Russian magician". From Russian singers she also remembers Dima Bilan and that his real name is Victor Belan and wonders if he can relate to Neno Belan, the Croatian singer? She thinks that for success you need to have a good song, to create a good show which everyone will like from the first moment and good performance is crucial. From other entries she liked quite a lot, including song of Bosnia and Herzegovina, country where she already travelled to promote Celebrate. "I hope you all all have a good time while watching this year’s Eurovision contest. It would be great if we could meet in Dusseldorf. Cheer for Croatia as well!", ends Daria. видеоклип "Celebrate" собрал более 150.000 голосов.
Дома она также получает массу вопросов и просьб
об интервью от различных СМИ, и все это она
рассматривает как знак того, что Хорватия в этом
году сможет рассчитывать на высокое место. Без
сомнения, Дарье хотелось бы повторить и успех
Эмилии Кокич с 1989 года, с которой она
познакомилась во время Доры. У Дарьи смешанное хорватско-немецкое происхождение, и проживая в Австрии, она пристально следила за событиями в Хорватии, и в один момент отметила, что там будет проводиться новое шоу для отбора представителя на Евровидение, где будет семь концертов, вместо двух как в прошлые годы, и она с интересом отправила свою заявку на участие. Она полагает, что зрителям пришлись по душе ее голос, личностные свойства и те песни, что она пела, ведь на конкурсах подобного типа прежде всего важно установить личностную взаимосвязь с аудиторией. "Когда я решила принять участие в Доре, я сказала себе, что перееду в Хорватию в случае победы, и я планирую это сделать. В Хорватии живет моя семья, мне нравится жизнь в этой стране, а в Австрии, на мой взгляд, поп музыка не так популярна как в Хорватии", говорит Дарья. Текст песни был изменен с "Break A Leg" на "Celebrate", поскольку люди не владеющие в совершенстве английским языком могли воспринять фразу "Break A Leg" дословно, в то время как она означает пожелание удачи, "Ни пуха". С другой стороны "Celebrate" понятно всем, это оптимистично и популярно, поэтому команда решила остановиться на этом варианте. members of the Vocal group Rivers Katarina Juric, Irena Kriz, Ana Jaksic and Jasenka
Rutar, joined Darija Kinzer in her winning team for Eurosong 2011. Their vocals fitted
perfectly into the song "Celebrate" written by Boris Durdevic. Due to their rich
experience of performing and recording as backing vocals and adaptation of vocal
arrangement by Katarina who is currently a student of contemporary writing and production
at Berklee College of music, their part is already rehearsed and ready. At the intensive
preparations that will be held in the last week before heading towards Dusseldorf, they
will meet the rest of the team, Russian illusionist Segej Voronstov, choreographer Larisa
Lipovac. The concept of their image was consulted by top stylists Davor Perman and Ksenija
Juravic, while at the media happenings they will wear the brands of Benetton, Max and Co
and Accessories. Just before the Easter Daria has visited with promotion of her entry Malta, Serbia and Slovenia. In Malta Daria is featured in Xarabank and another one of the most popular PBS shows. Daria has also visited Belgrade, where she performed in the show RTS "Bingo and the song" and the last point of her tour was Ljubljana, where she performed in the show "Spet Doma", one of the most watched TV shows in Slovenia. Croatian representative will travel to Dusseldorf on 30th of April. |

Kinzer with the help of the Russian magician Sergey Vorontsov will disappear from the
scene, reports Jutarnji List. "We will not till the last moment reveal what Sergey
will perform on stage, but he will deifinitely appear in her performance", said
Elizabeth Homsi, editor of Entertainment broadcast of HRT, who together with head of
delegation Alexander Kostadinov, producer Rajko Pavlovic and commentator Dusko Curlic will
follow Daria's adventures in Germany. "Sergey will be full time on stage with Daria
as one of the backing vocalists and in the end will perform a trick that they will start
rehearsing soon", says Aleksandar Kostadinov. Illusionist, who currently is on tour
in France is known for the trick when car is disappearing from the stage. According to
unofficial sources, Vorontsov is yet to decide exactly what trick he will perform on
stage, but one of the likely options is sudden disappearance of the tall blonde in the end
of performance. Beside magician, with Daria will travel to Dusseldorf songwriter Boris
Djurdjevic and backing vocalists from group Rivers. Now, Daria starts her promotional tour, travelling to The Netherlands, Moscow, Malta, Belgrade, Ljubljana, and on 23rd of April will perform in TV show Zvijezde pjevaju. |

Иллюзионист, который в настоящее время выступает
с туром по Франции, известен своим трюком с
исчезающим со сцены автомобилем. По
неофициальным данным, Воронцов пока не
определился окончательно какой фокус он
исполнит на сцене, но самой вероятной является
возможность неожиданного исчезновения высокой
блондинки в конце выступления. Помимо фокусника,
с Дарьей в Дюссельдорф отправятся автор песни
Борис Джурджевич и бэк-вокалистки из группы Rivers. Сейчас же, Дарья начинает свой промо-тур, в рамках которого она посетит Нидерланды, Москву, Мальту, Белград, Любляну, а 23го апреля выступит в телешоу Zvijezde pjevaju. |

After the contest opened by Bosnian broadcaster for French and German lyrics of their
entry, now it is another chance to get involved in production of Eurovision entry. Croatia
is searching for the remix of Celerbaed by Daria Kinzer. The contest is open to anyone.
Winning remix will be released on the official CD single "Daria - Celebrate" by
Croatia Records. The deadline is 15.04.2011. Vocals can be downloaded and your mix

| Croatian
representative has shot music videos for both versions of her contest entry - English
"Celebrate" that will be performed in Germany, and Croatian "Lahor".
Video shooting began on Thursday night and lasted almost all night, followed by editing
and processing. Team of 20 people led by an experienced director Zoran Pezo, who has
worked for some clips of the greatest Croatian pop star, like Gibbonija and Toni Cetinski,
worked on the spot. "It is a lively, disco-pop music video as dance counts as a genre
Eurovision loves and demands", Pezo said. For Daria's image in charge is designer Katarina Рale, who also designed her dresses for performances at Dora. "For this spot I created a youthful dress with sequins, all the glitter, I wanted to show how young, enjoying life is the singer". |

| Dora 2011 - Let's go to Eurovision! will take place in Zagreb. Entrants must be Croatian citizens. The format of the show is similar to last year's German preselection. Dora 2011 will consist of seven programmes from January 22 to March 5, in which entrants will perform songs live. In the first and second programms twelve acts will participate and six will be eliminated according to a public vote. In the third programme the twelve participants with the most votes from the first two programmes will compete. In the fourth programme six acts will compete, the two of which get the least votes will be eliminated. In both the fifth and sixth programme, one act will be eliminated. Only viewers will be able to vote in the first six shows. In the final show two acts will compete, and will sing three songs put forward by HRT by famous Croatian songwriters. The result will decided by a 50/50 jury/televote. | Дора 2011 - Let's go to Eurovision! состоится в Загребе. Принять участие в ней могут только жители Хорватии. Формат шоу будет идентичен прошлогоднему немецкому отбору. Дора будет состоять из 7 программ, которые будут показаны с 22 января по 5 марта, в которых конкурсанты выступят вживую. В первых двух шоу выступят по 12 конкурсантов и зрители оставят в борьбе половину из них. В третьей программе сразятся 12 оставшихся, и половина вновь покинет шоу. В четвертой программе два участника уступят в борьбе, а в пятом и шестом шоу программу покинут еще по одному конкурсанту. В первых шести программах голосовать будут только зрители. В финале примут участие два исполнителя и они представят песни, написанные известными хорватскими авторами. Результат будет определен совместным решением зрителей и жюри. | ||||||||||
