band called Terasbetoni was formed by a group of
four musicians. Jarkko Ahola, Arto Jarvinen, and Viljo Rantanen met each other in 2002 and
decided to form a band. Jari Kuokkanen joined in as a part time drummer, and later became
an official member. Rantanen was the one to come up with the name Terasbetoni. The band gets its inspiration from heavy metal and sings about issues that have formerly only been touched by a few. It’s now time to unite the Nordic soldiers and sing about battles in the Finnish language. This is not an easy road to follow… but the challenge has been accepted without fear. “The call of metal may be too hard to handle for some, but not for those that are guided by the warrior instinct”, are the words from the first single called “Taivas lyo tulta” that has held the top position in the domestic single charts in Finland for three weeks in a row. The band gathered visibility in the early days by publishing music over the Internet. At the end of 2004 the band was signed to Warner Music Finland and work to get the first album together began immediately. Anssi Kippo, whose merits in heavy metal speak for themselves, was chosen to produce the debut album. On Anssi’s list of merits are band’s such as Children of Bodom, Sentenced, Lullacry and Norther. "Metallitotuus" album started in January 2005 was published April 6th, 2005. During its first week on the Finnish list, it placed 2nd and stood on the list for 29 weeks, going platinum. In June 2006, the second album of the band, "Vaadimme metallia" has been released. During the day of its publishing, it nearly broke the gold album line. |

Первая популярность пришла к группе после размещения ее песен в интернете. В конце 2004 года группа подписала контракт с Warner Music Finland и немедленно начала работу над альбомом. Его продюсером был выбран Ансси Киппо, работавший ранее с группами Children of Bodom, Sentenced, Lullacry и Norther. | Finnish
broadcaster YLE has today announced the names of the 12 artists that are going to take
part in the national final in 2008. The song titles will be revealed in January, but the songs can't be made public before the February semifinals. National final will take place on March 1st in the Kulttuuritalo (the Culture House) in Helsinki. Three semi finals will be held at the Tohloppi TV-studios in Tampere. The semi-finals will start on 8 February, and run for three consecutive Fridays. They will be televised on YLE TV2 and hosted by Jaana Pelkonen and Mikko Peltonen. Two artists from each semifinal will go through to the final. The remaining six will get a second chance at the beginning of the live final, so all twelve will be seen also on the 1 March. которые примут участие в национальном отборе. Наименования песен будут объявлены в декабре, но сами песни нельзя будет услышать до начала отбора. Финал отбора пройдет в Доме Культуры Хельсинки 1го марта. Полуфиналы будут проведены в телестудии в Тампере, они начнутся 8го февраля и будут идти в течении трех недель. Ведущие национального отбора Jaana Pelkonen и Mikko Peltonen. Два участника из каждого полуфинала выйдут в финал. Оставшиеся шесть получат второй шанс, который пройдет перед началом финала, поэтому всех 12 артистов можно будет увидеть в эфире и 1го марта.
