Treble in Andorra |

| Second part of
Treble promo-tour has started on 15th of April with visit ot Brussels, Belgium. As usual
girls performed on the market square and gave few interviews. Tour continued in Germany and Great Britain, where more street performances and interviews happened. In UK band also had special party in "'Music Box live" in London where they celebrated the release of second Treble album: Free. From Ireland band went to Malta and below you can find extensive photocoverage of their stay on the island. In Malta band also met participants from Poland, Romania, Croatia and Andorra who were touring the island at the same time. Treble took part in different live actions and appeared in many TV and radio programs. Next countries that band visited were - Iceland, where girls met Icelandic participant Silvia Night, and France. On Thursday and Friday Treble were in Paris where they played on the famous Monmartre square. On Friday girls had extra performances devoted to the release of their album free, which were held under the Eiffel Tower, Algerian guitarist was guest musician there. On Saturday Treble were in Monaco, where they had number of TV and radio interviews. On Sunday girls travelled on their bus to Andorra, where they met Andorran delegation and Andorran representative. Next stops in the tour are Spain and Portugal.  Treble tour was
completed with visits to Russia, Israel and Cyprus. In Cyprus band has taken part in big
scale concert featuring 8 Eurovision 2006 contestants. |
Вторая
часть тура группы Требле началась 15 апреля
визитом в Брюссель, Бельгию. Группа выступила на
рыночной площади и дала серию интервью прессе. Тур продолжился визитами в Германию, Великобританию и Ирландию, где вновь продолжились уличные выступления и серии интервью. В Британии группа также провела специальную вечеринку, посвященную выходу второго альбома группы под названием Free. Из Ирландии группа вылетела на Мальту и ниже вы можете просмотреть серию фоторепортажей о пребывании группы на острове. На Мальте группа встретилась с рядом других участников Евровидения из Польши, Румынии, Хорватии и Андорры, бывших на острове в то же время и приняла участие в концертах и телепрограммах. Следующие страны, которые посетила группа - Исландия, где Требле встретились с Исландской участницей Сильвией Найт, и Франция. В четверг и пятницу группа была в Париже, где выступила на знаменитой площади Монмартр. В пятницу Требле дали дополнительное представление под Эйфелевой башней, посвященное выходу их нового альбома. На концерте к ним присоединился Алжирский гитарист. В субботу Требле продолжили свой тур, побывав в Монако, а в воскресенье прибыли на своем автобусе в Андорру, где встретились с андоррской делегацией и участницей Евровидения Дженни. Следующие остановки группы - Испания и Португалия.  Тур был
завершен визитами в Россию, Израиль и Кипр. На
Кипре группа приняла участие в масштабном
концерте с участие 8 конкурсантов Евровидения 2006.

Treble has
launched first part of their European mission, North and East European promo-tour, which
they are planning to cover on their bus. The videos and pictures from the tour are
available at www.treble.nl The first stop for the band was Copenhagen, Denmark.
Band hopes to play on the street of all European capitals, as they started their careers
from playing their music on streets. However first attempt was not that successful, band
was asked by police to leave Copenhagen Railroad station. Inner city streets were more
welcoming to Treble and they continued their route. The stay in Oslo, Norway was peaceful, though Treble could not perform on streats for the reason that Caroline had some voice problems. Band however gave number of interviews to the local press.  On the road from
Oslo to Stockholm band go involved in a car crush. Around 8:30 their bus was hit by a
caravan on the highway between Oslo and Stockholm. As accident happened in the early
morning members of the promo team and singers were still asleep. The accident has happened
because of weather conditions and slippery road. Nobody was seriously hurt, however the
bus was damaged and should have been replaced. This accident had rescheduled the stay in
Sweden, no concerts were held again, and only the interviews to printed and on-air media
were given.  Treble
had to change the bus for the ferry and travelled to Helsinki, Finland. There they
returned to street performances, continued with interviews and met the Finnish
participants Lordi. In the evening, using minibus, the band left for Tallinn, Estonia. On the morning they gave interview on National Television. Stay in Estonia is scheduled to be pretty short as at the same day band has to go to Riga, Latvia. There they gave many interview, took part on the TV show on Latvian channel, and met Latvian ESC 2006 representatives "Cosmos" band.  In the middle
of the night band arrives to Lithuania. After only few hours of sleep band took part in
the morning show on Lithuanian television. In the evening another show followed.In Warsaw band has rejoined with their dear blue bus (now with extra 3rd driver), which has been fully repaired after accident. Short rest and another series of interviews to local press and television followed.  On Thursday
evening band departs to Romania. Unfortunately things didn't went that easy and band had
to spend more than 5 hours at the border, where was a heavy traffic jam of the cars
passing the customs. Only after discussion with the authorities and proving that they are
real artists, having tight tour schedule, and performing their song at customs, band
finally was allowed to continue their journey. But the time was lost and because of that
and bad roads on their way to Romania, band decided to change their schedule and directly
drive to Istanbul. After spending non stop 53 hours in bus band finally arrived to the
Turkish capital. They have took part in the 2 popular shows of Turkish television and gave
number of interviews. Visit to Istanbul was really successful! After finishing interviews bus immediately drove to Sofia, Bulgaria, some morning interviews were planned there, but have to be cancellerd because of another traffic jam at the Bulgarian border. The band has arrived in Sofia in afternoon, and still gave number of interviews.  After short stay
in Bulgaria band went to visit Macedonia to do some promotion over there and give few
interviews. Band also met Elena Ristevska, Macedonia entrant for Eurovision 2006. Band couldn't move directly through Serbia to Bosnia, so they had to choose different longer way. Albanian stage of tour also was cancelled. In Bosnia band has performed for the army (UN-base) and gave some interviews. From Bosnia band moved to Croatia, and again met problems on border, where bus was searched by border police. Together with band Kraljevi Ulice, runner-up in Dora 2006, they performed on the streets and gave some interviews. Ljubljana, Slovenia was the next stop to do some promotion and work on their performance for Athens. The first part of tour has finished the way it has started - with street concerts at Bern, Switzerland. Now band plans schedule for the second part of tour, which possibly will start in Belgium, cover neighbouring countries and will finish with travels to the most distaned countries by plane - Iceland and Russia. запустили первую часть своей Европейской миссии
- тур по северной и восточной Европе, которую они

Группа надеялась сыграть на улицах всех Европейских столиц, что для участниц не в новинку - их карьера началась именно с уличных выступлений. Однако первый блин оказался комом - полиция выдворила группу с Железнодорожного вокзала Копенгагена, где они пытались выступить. Внутренние улицы города оказались более гостеприимными и группа смогла продолжить свой концерт.  Остановка
в норвежской столице Осло прошла без эксцессов -
однако группа не смогла выступить на улице из-за
того, что у одной из солисток, Каролины, возникли
проблемы с голосом. Группа ограничилась тем, что
дала интервью местной прессе. По дороге с Осло в Стокгольм группа попала в автомобильную аварию. Около 8.30 утра их автобус столкнулся с грузовиком на трассе между Осло и Стокгольмом. Так как столкновение произошло рано утром, группа и команда еще спали. Причиной  аварии, как
сообщается, стали плохие погодные условия и
скользкая дорога. Никто серьезно не пострадал,
однако автобус свое путешествие уже продолжить
не смог. Из-за проишествия пришлось немного
изменить пребывание в Стокгольме, группа вновь
не выступала, а давала интервью СМИ, в основном
интересующимся произошедшей аварией. Группа сменила автобус на паром и смогла по расписанию прибыть в столицу Финляндии - Хельсинки. Здесь они продолжили уличные шоу, дали интервью и встретились с финской группой Лорди. Вечером, на микроавтобусе, группа отправилась в Эстонию, где с утра дала интервью национальному телевидению. Пребывание в Эстонии было запланировано коротким, и в этот же день группа перебирается в Ригу, Латвия. Там они дают многочисленные интервью, выступают по телевидению и встречаются с латвийскими участниками - группой "Космос".  В
середине ночи группа прибывает в Литву, после
всего нескольких часов сна группа принимает
участие в утреннем шоу на литовском телевидении.
Вечером последовала запись для еще одного шоу. На следующий день в Варшаве группа наконец объединиться со старым, родным автобусом (в котором теперь три водителя) и продолжает свой тур. В Польше была дана серия интервью местной прессе и телевидению.  В четверг
группа отправляется в Румынию. К сожалению все
оказалось не так просто и группе пришлось
простоять около 5 часов на таможне, поскольку на
дороге была большая очередь из автомобилей,
пересекающих границу. Из-за проблем с
пересечением границы и плохих дорог, группа, уже
побывавшая один раз во время тура в аварии -
решает направится напримую в Стамбул. Группа
пробыла в пути непрерывно в течении 53 часов и
наконец прибыла в столицу Турции. Группа приняла
участие в двух крупных телешоу на турецком
телевидении. Визит в Стамбул удался! После окончания интервью группа немедленно отправилась в Софию, Болгария, где было запланировано участие в утреннем шоу. Однако, его пришлось отменить из-за очередной задержки на границу. Группа все таки добралась до Болгарии днем и дала ряд интервью интересующимся СМИ. После короткого пребывания в Болгарии группа продолжила свой тур в Скопье, Македония, где также дала серию интервью и встретилась с Македонской участницей Евровидения 2006 Еленой Ристевской. Группа не смогла проехать напрямую в Боснию через Сербию, и поэтому им пришлось выбрать долгий объездной путь. Албанский этап тура также был отменен. В Боснии группа выступила перед армией (базой ООН) и дала ряд интервью. Из Боснии группа отправилась в Хорватию, и вновь столкнулась с неприятностями на границе, где их автобус был обыскан. Вместе с группой Kraljevi Ulice, занявшей 2е место на национальном хорватском отборе, группа дала несколько уличных выступлений и ряд интервью. Следующей остановкой на пути группы стала Любляна, Словения, где они продолжили свою раскрутку и работу над выступлением. Первая часть тура, как и началась - уличными выступлениями, на этот раз в Берне, Швейцария. Сейчас группа планирует второй этап тура, которых скорее всего начнется с Бельгии, охватит близлежайшие страны и закончится перелетами в наиболее отдаленные государства - Исландию и Россию.  The group Treble was
formed in 1995 by Caroline Hoffman (30) and sisters Nina (20) and Djem van Dijk (18). The
sisters had met Caroline that year at a concert in the far south of the Netherlands, where
the three of them still live.Caroline has been involved in music from an early age. She was four years old when she first played the piano and not much older when she joined the local choir. She has been writing lyrics since she was a child, instead of mastering a foreign language. To accompany her singing, she played the piano, but also learned to play the guitar and djembe' as well. Nina and Djem’s parents were so enthusiastic about the trio’s musical and personal collaboration that they asked Caroline to teach both sisters music. This formed the basis of Treble. A close-knit group was born, starting with performances on street concerts where they sang and played the acoustic guitar and djembe'. Their harmonised and contagious African rhythm soon attracted a lot of attention. But what makes Treble so special is their own very special Treble language in which they sing. As they put it: “In order to get emotions across, music does not always require an understandable language.” Ramaganana With the Treble language as their brand, the trio perform not only in the Netherlands, but abroad as well. In 2002, accompanied by their djembe's and guitar, they travelled to Italy and Greece, mostly playing on the streets so that other cultures could appreciate their music as well. Within a few years, thanks to their musical wanderings, Treble has managed to win over many music lovers. This did not go unnoticed by major record labels and in 2003 CNR Entertainment signed Treble, where they remain to this day. At the end of 2003 the girls recorded their debut single ‘Ramaganana’, which turned out to be the major breakthrough for them. After a number of weeks in which the trio entertained the public, bringing their catchy music to Dutch shopping centres, as well as television shows, ‘Ramaganana’ reached the number one slot in the Dutch charts. In June 2004 their first album ‘No Trouble’ was released, on which Nina, Djem and Caroline prove their expertise in writing breathtaking compositions and memorable lyrics all which originate from their own creativity and skills. They know how to mould a vast variety of styles into Treble’s authentic and international sound: stirring pop music with an exotic shade. “Our songs show who we are. We try to create as many ambiances as possible, which is why the album is as diverse as it is,” says Caroline. The album is a mix of harmonised pop songs with a catching chorus, beautifully quiet ballads and exotic sounding tracks, all sung in a mix of English and Treble. Second album But first, the success of the first album was rewarded with a tour of theatres and festivals in the Netherlands and Belgium. Here, Treble were accompanied by a three-man band. Buoyed by their domestic success, Treble decided to pursue their dream and aim for an international breakthrough. They are all about action and in 2005 they spontaneously flew south to join the Midem international music fair in Cannes, the central meeting point for the record industry and a hot bed of influential people. Treble set up in the hotel lobby and played their songs for the record moguls staying there. Warren Wyatt and Julie Hines of the American Worldsound Management were very impressed and after a meeting about Treble’s international ambitions, they decide to sign Treble there and then. This resulted in plans for a second album. Under the guidance of renowned producer Keith Olson (among others Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Emerson Lake and Palmer), Trio recorded twelve new numbers and named the album, ‘Free’. In April 2006 the new album will be released as a worthy successor of ‘No Trouble’. The tracks are diverse, from quiet ballads to swinging numbers. Ten out of twelve songs are written entirely by Treble. From a musical point of view, one can hear that the singers have continued to develop since their first CD. The title ‘Free’ coincides perfectly with the Treble theme: the freedom to fulfil dreams. On ‘Free’ the girls fill the air with a sound that unmistakably shows that they are ready to spread their wings and to conquer the world. Eurovision Song Contest If it was up to Treble, they would conquer the world during the 51st Eurovision Song Contest in Athens. On 12 March 2006 their overwhelming victory at the National Song Contest in Amsterdam made them the Dutch representatives. During a live television show, their song ‘Amambanda’ was chosen as the best by 72% of the viewers. This song, sang partially in English and partially in the Treble language, is written entirely by Treble. The song encapsulates the essence of Treble: translating human emotions into music. The English verses explain why you don’t always need an understandable language to express emotions. As with many Treble songs, the warm percussion accompanies the harmonised vocals. For their performance in Amsterdam, the girls requested the assistance of Tim Noble, choreographer for, among others, Kylie Minogue. Treble cannot wait to swamp the Greek capital with the Treble language. “We are honoured to be representing the Netherlands at the 51st Eurovision Song Contest. What could be better than being on stage, performing our music to more than 150 million people? The last time the Netherlands won the Eurovision Song festival was in 1975. After 31 years, the time has come to put the Netherlands back on the musical map once again. Let’s do it! Athens, here we come!” |

Конкурс Песни Евровидение Если бы Требле могли выбирать, то они бы завоевали мир во время 51го конкурса Евровидение в Афинах. 12 марта 2006 года они одержали сокрушающую победу на национальном отборе в Амстердамие. Их песня Амамбанда была выбрана лучшей, за нее проголосовали 72 процента телезрителей. Песня, исполненная на смеси Требле и Английского, полностью написана самой группой. Песня передает основную суть группы: передача человеческих эмоций посредством музыки. Английский текст показывает, почему не всегда нужен язык для того, чтобы передавать эмоции. | In 2004, the
Dutch all-girl trio, Treble, reached the top of Holland's music charts with their swinging
song, Ramaganana. In June, "No Trouble," the debut album of Caroline Hoffman and
sisters, Nina and Djem van Dijk was released with equal success in their home country. The
three girls, who are multi-instrumental, are supported by some of the top Dutch musicians
on this amazing album. Not only do Treble play their own instruments, they also wrote all
of the songs on the album themselves; both music and lyrics. On "No Trouble,"
Treble has managed to meld various genres into one eccentric "Treble" sound,
which is best described as "ethnic pop music" or, better yet, "pop music
with an exotic element. "The album is exactly like us. Ramaganana is eccentric and is sung in a fantasy language, but it’s certainly not the only thing we do. We try to create as many moods as possible." Treble was literally found playing on the streets. Ten years ago Caroline met sisters, Nina and Djem, and taught them to have fun with music in an unconventional way. They immediately connected and formed a trio, which they called the "three headed monster," and after a few jam sessions they decided to play together on the streets. They soon drew a lot of attention, not just because of their perfect close harmony, but also because of their use of African percussion instruments like congas and djembes. Not only did Treble play on the streets and at parties for various crowds, but also traveled to the Greek islands and Venice and found out that they could make a living with their music. The second album of the band called "Free" or "Amambanda" will be available in the whole of Europe in March. |

известные голландские музыканты. Участницы
Требл не только играют на своих инструментах, они
также сами написали все песни с альбома - тексты и
слова. Требл удалось соединить различные
музыкальные жанры и создать уникальный стиль
группы, который описывается как этник поп музыка,
или поп музыка с экзотическими элементами. "Этот альбом очень напоминает нас самих. Рамаганана эксцентричен и исполняется на воображаемом языке, но это не все, что мы можем. Мы стараемся создать как можно больше различных настроений на альбоме". Требл были обнаружены продюсерами буквально на улицах. 10 лет назад Каролина познакомилась с сестрами Ниной и Джем и научила их заниматься необычной музыкой. Details of 9 songs participating in the Dutch preselection were announced. Each of 3
singers will perform 1 song selected from open entry submission and 2 songs selected by
management of the bands: Treble will perform 3 up-tempo songs, 2 in imaginary language. Public entry is written by Jerry van der Wolf who partcipated in National preselection 1997 as author of the song performed by Mrs.Einstein Behave will perform rock songs, first 2 written by band members. Maud will also perform up-tempo songs. Allan Eshuys has participated in preselection 2003, as author of the song performed by Blauwdruk. National Dutch preselection will take place on March 12th. During the first round, jury will select the best song of each artist. In the final round televoters will select singer and song that will represent Netherlands at Eurovision contest 2006. |

Introducing
3 finalists of Dutch National Preselection: Behave are relatively unknown pop-rock band. Members of the band are Michiel Cremers (vocals/guitar), Gerjan Schreuder (guitar/vocals), Junior Vogel (bass) and Jeroen de Haan (drums). In 2004 they had their only national hit "High on you" and won Essent Award. They are produced by 19 year old manager Stacey Rookhuizen, who started own record able in the age of 16. Maud Mulder was born on 17th November, 1981. She took part in Dutch version of Idols in 2004, where finished second. After competition she has released single "Zoals je naar me kijkt". She is produced by Tjeerd van Zaanen, author of Dutch ESC entries 1999 and 2003.  Treble are girl band which includes Caroline Hoffman, 29, Nina van Dijk, 19, and Djem van Dijk, 17. They had number one single in country in 2004, called "Ramaganana". Dutch broadcaster NOS will announce the 9 songs in the final on the 15th of february. Each of 3 acts will perform 3 song during the final show, which will take place on March, 12th. 2 of songs can be selected by participants themselves, and 1 song for each singer will be selected through open competition, 174 songs in total were submitted: 45 of them for Treble, 82 for Maud, 47 for Behave. Best song of each artist by jury and televoting decision will qualify to the superfinal, where televoting will select winner. Three televised shows will introduce singers and their entries in the week before final. From 8 to 10 March, the series 'Op Weg Naar…' will be broadcasted at 19.00 on Nederland 2. |
