| Zeljko Joksimovic (1972.) His debut album was released in 2000 and it fulfilled the expectations by becoming a great success. In 1999, Zeljko Joksimovic received two important international awards – the Grand Prix in Mogilyov (Belarus) and the one in Vitebsk (Belarus), both for “Pesme sirena” for which he had been awarded by FIDOF and SOKOJ at the Pjesma Mediterana festival in Budva (1998). Zeljko Joksimovic has been a well-known songwriter for years. His songs won awards at the Beogradsko prolece festival in 1993, 1996 and 1997. Along with the pop music, Zeljko Joksimovic tried himself out in other music genres: traditional city music, folk and applied music. His song “Zvone tambure” won the first prize at the Zlatna Tamburica festival in Novi Sad, in 2000. Zeljko has won several awards for his music for the theatre.He was awarded for the following plays: 'Mandagora', 'Ljubinko i Desanka', 'Rob ljubavi', 'Pesice' [the best play in 1999], 'Nemam da platim necu da platim'... As an instrumentalist, Zeljko made the first success in 1984, when he won the prize as the best European accordionist in Paris. Today, he is among few musicians who can play 11 instruments. At the end of 2000, his first album became the best selling album of the City Records Company. The songs from this album became radio and TV hits. After releasing the first CD/MC, Zeljko Joksimovic was awarded as the best singer of the year in three Yugoslav festivals: • OSKAR POPULARNOSTI • YU DANI ESTRADE • ZLATNI MELOS These awards were based on the vote of all radio and TV stations and readers of the Svet magazine. “Frankfurtske novine”, the best selling daily newspaper of Serbian diaspora, proclaimed him the best singer in 2000, too. The promotion of his first album was more than successful. He was accompanied by a dance group “DONO”. Since then, it has taken part in all of his performances and concerts. Песни, написанные им побеждали на фестивале Београдско пролече в 1993, 96 и 97 годах. Кроме поп музыки Желько пробует себя и в других стилях - народные песни, фолк. Его песня "Zvone tambure" победила на фестивале Златна Тамбурица в НовиСаде в 2000 году. Желько выиграл множество премий за свою музыку для театра.
